Exchange Fee?

Still doing my personal due-diligence before I take the plunge...

As a DVC member, will I be charged the $90 (or whatever it is or will be) exchange fee every time I make a reservation using my points?

There are NO fees to use points at DVC resorts including no banking, borrowing, multiple reservation or cancellation fees. The exchange fees are for non DVC options like DCL, Interval Intl, Disney Collection and Concierge Collection.

I understand there is no $95 fee if staying at DVC Resorts
on Disney property (FL and CA).

While I don't expect it to happen, it wouldn't surprise me. There is a cost to having a lot of MS interaction and this would be a way of shifting that cost to those that use MS more.

Has there been much griping about the fee to exchange into other Disney hotels? We would have liked to use our points to stay one or two nights here and there at a Disney hotel, but this fee makes it not worth doing and just sticking to DVC resorts.

there's actually been ALOT of griping (it had its own thread) about it. someone posted jim lewis' email address for anyone that wanted to let him know their feelings.
