This past summer was my first experience with what I’d say is an “excessive room check.” Prior to that, we had no issues. However…
I tested positive for COVID in the afternoon on the 2nd to last full day of the trip. On the last full day, I stayed in bed. I wasn’t feeling completely horrible but was tired and stuffy. We were staying CL at CR and my husband went to the concierge desk to decline housekeeping. They came by anyway and I said I had Covid and didn’t want housekeeping. Then, they called. I again said I had Covid and did not want housekeeping. THEN, the housekeeping manager came up and insisted on doing trash & towel service despite me informing her of my prior interactions with housekeeping and that I had Covid. Also, some guys from IT (?) came and said they needed to pull some kind of cable out of a closet (I’m not sure, I was just annoyed at that point). They said it would only take a few seconds, which it did. But that was 4 disturbances that day after staff had been informed that I wasn’t feeling well.
Long story short, having a communicable disease won’t even keep them out of your room!!!
