Good Morning, my friends!
How are you all doing, today? So sorry that I've fallen so far behind! My charming cold of earlier this week turned into bronchitis. Fortunately, I caught it early, so it's not too bad. But I returned to work to find my boss on a rampage (not quite sure why - he might be getting pressure from "above"), having individual meetings with some of us and telling us that we're not working up to our full capacities, etc. With my not feeling so well on top of that, that hit me pretty hard, so I'm resigning myself to not checking the Boards when I'm at work (you know how easily one can get "hooked" doing that!) any more.

Especially since I still don't know what my new job will be under the big reorganization plan (or if they'll offer me one at all), I think that I'd better stay on "the straight and narrow" when I'm there. At least (after being out for the first 3 days of this week) my boss let me leave early yesterday to go to the doctor and get a prescription for an antibiotic. Started it yesterday and am already feeling a little better. Hopefully this whole thing will pass, soon. All this to say, sorry that I haven't been around much lately! I'll just have to post from home at night or early in the mornings, now! Thank you for all of your thoughtful get well wishes!
Thanks so much for stopping in, Dan! Hope that all is well with you and your family and that the sun is always shining on all of you, as well!
Great to see you again, Webmaster CC! That's great that you were able to spend some time in DL and that you have another
DCL trip coming up so soon! You really do have a great job! It sounds like so much fun - even the actual "work" part is fun! And you get to see and meet so many nice and interesting people, too! That's so nice that your family is celebrating your parents' 45th wedding anniversary with the cruise! My parents' 45th wedding anniversary is tomorrow - I wish that my mother was well enough to be able to travel somewhere. But we're going to have some sort of celebration for them, anyway! I wish that I could make it to DIS CON this year! I also wish that I could make it to Super Soap Weekend to meet the ladies with whom I discuss "All My Children" every day! But since we're going......in exactly 79 days (!!!)......I don't think that we'll be able to go again, this year.

Well......there's always DIS CON III, next year!

You know, every time that there's a Disney wedding on "A Wedding Story", I always seem to miss it!

It seems that when ever I'm not home on a week day (which is most of the time), someone tells me that they showed either a wedding of 2 people who met while working at WDW or a wedding that took place there, on that show! I hope to catch one of those episodes, one of these years!
That's so great that you may be able to go, Helenabear! I'm sure that it will be an absolute blast! And you will be meeting so many of the people with whom you "speak" every day, that you won't feel like you're there "alone"! I agree with Jstmee, though - I have travelled alone before, and it really is fun and relaxing, too! You will have to give us full details of the convention, when you go, and bring back tons of pictures of yourself and everyone else to show us! I love meeting people with whom I correspond, too - it's really neat to put faces and voices with the people whom you get to know so well by writing! And I'm sure that Luis will take wonderful care of the kitties while you're away, and give you full reports of their adventures every day! That's the one thing that I'm not looking forward to about going away in June - leaving the cats! My father will take good care of them, as he always does, but I will miss them! Frank is thinking of giving his cats a "vacation" and leaving them with his former roommate while we're gone, so that we don't have to worry about them getting into fights with my cats while we're not around to "monitor" them. (yes, they're still occasionally fighting - even though Laverne and Ashley are separated at all times, Ashley will pick fights with the others when she's out, and Tasha also picks fights with the others. I guess we just can't win!) I cannot believe that your sister actually dumped water all over you and your bed because you didn't set the alarm! What a way to wake up! Well, at least you won't have to worry about that, if you travel to DIS CON by yourself!
Thanks so much for the soup recipe, SG! I will definitely try it (now that I'm a big "master chef", you know........yeah, right!) - it sounds really good, and not too difficult (for my cooking-challenged skills) to make! Don't worry about those few ounces - don't be discouraged! You know that those ounces could represent anything - maybe you had a glass of water right before they weighed you - or maybe you hadn't (if you'll excuse the expression) "gone to the bathroom" yet that day - anything could account for those few ounces. A million dollars says that the next time you get on the scale, you will have lost several pounds! I don't think that you really "gained" those ounces at all! You're doing a great job - keep it up! Don't let the numbers on the scale become too meaningful - just keep doing what ever you're doing! And remember Helenabear's wise words - you are a beautiful person inside (AND out!), and that's far more important than numbers on a scale or anything else! And think about what you said yourself, too - sometimes when you least expect it or think that you had a "bad" week, you find out that it was actually a "good" week! I haven't exercised at all, this week, since I've been sick. I was sure that I had put on a few pounds (from drinking gallons of orange juice, alone!), but I finally dragged myself onto the scale and found that I had stayed exactly the same. So, sometimes when you least expect it, you wind up being pleasantly surprised! Glad to hear that all is well at the library - it's so nice that you enjoy and get so much satisfaction from working there! I hope that everything works out for your niece and her fiance, whether they decide to go through with their marriage or not. Will you still be making the trip out to Ohio, even if for whatever reason they decide not to get married? I can't wait to hear about your meeting with Helenabear!
I can't believe that it's been colder down where you are, Angelina, than it has been up here! Talk about freaky weather, this winter! And it sounds like you have literally had snow on the ground for MONTHS, Jstmee! I can't believe how much snow you've had, up there! Like Helenabear and SG, we've been very lucky this winter, in the North East - we only had one tiny snow, which completely disappeared the following day, and it's been in the 60's almost every day, recently. It even hit 70, 2 days this week (that's probably why I got sick!)! I'm hoping that it just keeps getting warmer and warmer, here - I'm definitely ready for spring, even though my closets aren't! I have clothes in so many sizes that I will just have to go "shopping" in another closet to find some spring clothes to wear that fit! Or I might eventually even break into the storage tubs in the garage, that hold the I-never-thought-I-would-fit-into-this-again-but-saved-it-for-wishful-thinking clothes! I will have to find some new things for our honeymoon - I don't think that those 8 pairs of great (and "thigh-rub-protective") shorts that I found last year will fit me, this year. I keep trying to find more like them, but haven't been successful. Oh well - maybe as it gets closer to summer, I will see them again in a catalog.
Lots of good luck with your upcoming GS sleepover, Angelina, and lots of PD! I'm sure that it will be a lot of work, but it will also be fun! I'm echoing SG's question - do you do arts and crafts also? How was the fair that you attended? I wish that I had the artistic talent (or patience) to do crafts! The closest that I come is making my photo album / scrapbooks.....and they're not very "artistic" - just a place to store my memories and 5 billion pictures! I hope that your flowers thaw out, soon! I hate when that happens - when the flowers start to bloom and then there's a frost. Our flowers are all starting to come up, and there are buds on the trees and bushes, too. I just hope that we don't have one our our famous March freezes or snowstorms to ruin it all!
You are certainly keeping busy up there, Jstmee! It's so neat that you and your DH are coaching the basketball team - that must be a lot of fun! Glad to hear that you are feeling well! That is wonderful! I hope that the snow that was predicted for your area doesn't prevent you from attending your DH's Cursillo weekend. I hope that everything goes well and that you enjoy yourselves! I also love the Hoop Dee Doo Revue, even though I haven't seen it in almost 30 years! I went several times in the mid 70's with my mother and my cousin, but have not seen the show as an adult. From what I understand and from the pictures that I've seen, it has barely changed, if at all, since it opened! I think it's nice that it's essentially the same show - it's nice to think that some things at WDW don't change and are pretty much the way that I remember them from my childhood trips! Even the EWP uses different music (and 2 different floats) than it did when I saw it as a child!
Well, I just wanted to stop in and say "hi"! So sorry that I haven't been in touch in so long! I will have to "readjust" my posting "schedule" so that I can check into the Suite at night.....and not get myself in trouble at work!
Will definitely join you all for a splash in the jacuzzi and a trip to Fort Wilderness!
Hope that you're all having a great weekend!
