EWP group?

SG, thank you for the soup recipe. I will have to try it soon. Busy here, as always....there is no school tomorrow so it will be a full house. SG, do you have Angelina mistaken for me? We just got done redoing the bathroom floor. Or, is Angelina doing her floor also?

helenabear, you will do fine with your "shy" part of you on vacation. I have vacationed alone many times before and found it to be just what the "doctor" ordered.

Hi to everyone else......we have a bball game soon so I'd better feed the kiddos snacks.

Ta Ta for now....Wendy

Dear Jstmee, I do not have you and Angelina mixed up I just did what 'mothers' do and called you by the wrong name. LOL Please forgive me, when you get old and senile, like me, you will understand. I have one son and one daughter and sometimes called them by the wrong names!!! Are you going to do the rest of the bathroom now? Sort of like, when you get a new piece of furniture it makes the rest of the room look tired and in need of a refurbishing? You have not said anything about how you are feeling lately, are we to take it that you are doing great and forgot all about being sick?

Helenabear, you would not want to share a room with me, I snore. Big time. My DH swears that it relaxes him so he can sleep better but I think he is nuts. I will never get to go to Disney alone. Tom loves it as much, if not more than I. He loves vacations more than I do and has always insisted on going on at least one a year even back when we could not afford it. I remember coming home one time to a non working bathroom but by golly we went on vacation. I was none too happy that year. Some years we would be on the road for weeks at a time and I would come home and get down and kiss the kitchen floor. You just be yourself and you will do just fine at DW and I doubt sincerely that you will be alone very much unless you want it. Not sure the dates we will be there but if the fates allow we might be there for DisCom also. It sounds like a blast and I love meeting my Disney friends.

I see some incoming ICQ messages that say I am wanted over at the Trivia game. It is Khaos tonight which means we give off the wall and sometimes a bit ornery answers to the questions and then everyone votes on who won for the most unusual or memorable answer. Yes, I have won once in a while. (grin)

Take care and I will check in later and see what you are all up to.

Goodmorning everyone, my DS's want me to go outside and judge their dunk shots, it's about 20F out there, but I'm sure they'll get me to do it soon.

SG, the bathroom is looking good, and I did some painting to refreshen it. I won't do more painting though until the weather gets warmer it's hard to keep windows open when it's 0 degrees outside. Of course, I want a new rug, etc. but when we moved into the house 2 years ago I bought new stuff and when I went on a cruise last Feb. to Mexico I bought some really neat, bright colored fish and in San Diego bought a fish mobile. So the bathroom is very "fishy".....the shower curtain is brightly colored with tropical fish as well. When the weather gets warmer I am going to paint my kitchen and living room.....much, much needed. Not sure what colors yet, I'm tired of the standard off-white that it is.

Well, today is payday for DH, so I have a days work of paying some bills and budgeting to do.

I hope everyone has a wonderful day and enjoys the day.......Also, as SG said, I have gotten better emotionally, taking my meds like I should and it's amazing that they definately work. duh, what was I thinking. lol by the way, the kids won their bball game last night.

I just noticed that my EWP groupie thing was gone from my name, now I'll have to figure out how to add it to my signature I guess.

Dear Jstmee

Isn't it amazing what our children can talk us into doing? I am sure that you were unbiased and critical judge. LOL

I can see your bathroom now. Have you seen the fish soap dispensers at Target? My DH is into formal and fancy so I cannot have the 'fun' things I would enjoy in the house. I think I will decorate the next house the way I want. Probably not, as we have far too many cherry and mahogangy pieces of furniture and quite a few antiques to boot. I do want lighter color walls though.

Almost everything is gone from my signature and I will have to find some time to redo the whole thing. Won't be today though. Am headed for the library. When I miss Wednesdays I go in on Fridays. They always seem glad to see me though.

It is dreary and overcast here although in the 60's so I won't complain.

WW report. Somehow I managed to gain 2 ozs last week. I am ticked. The only thing I ate that was slightly 'bad' was 3 pieces of my homemade bread. Back to just plain soup for me for this week. In order to make my goal I have to lose 3 pounds a week average and I am not going to fail!!! BTW, I did count the points for the bread so it should not have caused any harm.

I found the greatest thing for the boys to give their mother for Mother's Day. It is a Golden book entitled "I love you Mommy". It tells a story of all that mother's do for their kids. I bet my DD will love it and will the boys.

Off I go for the day, see you all this evening. How about Hoop De Doo this evening? Seems like a campfire might feel mightly good right about then. Pull up a log and grab a marshmallow.

Hi everyone!!
I just wanted to pop in and catch up with you all.

Linda, I know that book and it is lovely. Another fave of mine is "I Love You Forever".

jstmee, your bathroom sounds wonderful!! A friend had a tropical fish themed bathroom and it was so cool!! And I watch Amazing Race too and saw those twins. :D

Elaine, I was very nervous the first time I went to WDW alone, but it was great. And absence makes the heart grow fonder! If you come to DIS Con II I can't wait to meet you!

IASW, glad you are feeling better, lots of bugs going around! Found one myself
Did you catch the Disney wedding this week on the Wedding Story?

Angelina you sound so busy I am tired just reading what you do!! :)

Enjoy the weekend all, I am off to the jacuzzi hoping the steam will clear my stuffed up head! :)
Cathy

Hi there WM Cathy C.

It has been far too long since you graced us with your presence. Please don't let it happen again. You never know what we might get up to without your guiding hand. Between you and Dan we have to behave - - - - sometimes. (grinz)

What fabulous trips have you been on lately? I have to live vicariously as I am tied to hearth and home, for the time being.

Another reason for me to try to schedule our Florida trip for DisCon, a chance to meet you!

No school next week, spring break so I did a few extra things. One little girl was in and out of the library a dozen times today taking out books, reading them and returning them. She was trying to catch up on her reading quota. My favorite oldest grandson came by for a grin and a hug. If I could get my hearing fixed I believe I would apply for a job at the school. They hire older women (older than I, but I am aging fast LOL) as Grandmas. I think I am fully qualified for the profession.

I have been out picking up sticks for the wiener roast this evening. I even have the fixings for some S'mores. See you all later!

SG, what a wonderful idea. Hoop dee doo is fantastic. We saw it with the kids, we had front row corner seats and my DD had to kiss the "bears" claw. They still go around the house singing, "Hoop dee doo, hoop dee doo, etc".

Great seeing you again Cathy

I'm sure everyone else is busy with kids "Angelina" or work, "helenabear and IASW Rider", Dan it's so nice to see you here more often, pull up a recliner or JUMP into the jacuzzi.

We are expecting 4-7" of the white stuff, we have about 1/2" now........ have a good weekend all. Wendy

Hi there everyone! I meant to stop in here at lunch, but somehow I didn't get the time to write my nice usual long posts :) We had our pot luck today at work in honor of St. Patrick's Day and there was SOO MUCH FOOD! It was great but I think I ate way too much food today :) I had made some very yummy brownies (had one or two :p) and after my manager brought in ice cream, people were taking the brownies and heating them up then topping with ice cream! To die for... and to think I was doing a good job of beaing healthier before

SG, I will tell you this again. You are beautiful just the way you are!!! Don't you forget that. So if you gain an ounce or lose ounces, it doesn't matter because you are a dear heart and that matters most! I'll let you in on a little secret, I snore... not a lot and supposedly not loud (per Luis) but I do mostly due to my constant sinus congestion I have. But since Tom won't let you go alone, I'll resort to have the room all to myself  At least I won't have to worry about my sister being there... during our last trip, she got mad at me because I wouldn't set the alarm and she dumped water ALL over ME & the BED I was sleeping in  So at least I won't be worrying about that one ;)

The more I talk with everyone and listen to everyone, the more excited I get about going to DIS Con. It would be great if you can make it there Linda, but if not, I will keep looking forward to May when you are in my neck of the woods :) I am looking forward to meeting everyone. I love putting faces to names that I see around here as well as voices to names. I don't know why but I love to hear others voices after talking with them online for so long because when I read their posts after that, I can actually hear all they have to say.

Cathy, I am really looking forward to going and meeting you as well :) I know absence makes the heart grow fonder, but the last time I left my baby Cleo alone she gave me the cold treatment for a long time. She doesn't like it when her mama leaves her. Gwenie has never been left by myself. When Luis went away for a week, she was so cute and cuddly with me and she was constantly sniffing Luis' side of the bed wondering where he was :( My babies are cuties :)

Wendy, best of luck with the snow. We haven't had much this year and I cannot say I am too disappointed to say that though. If you can, you will have to show us pictures of your new bathroom floor. I am sure it lookes lovely!!! If you want to put the EWP Group icon in your signature, let me know. The icon is located at http://home.columbus.rr.com/coqui/icons/ewp.bmp just use the IMG tags in your signature and you will have it there like Rider & I have. All the avatars are gone but Luis was kind enough to let me use some space on his web page that allows link backs so all can see it. If you need more help, do let me know.

I hope all is well with the rest of you and that all who have a caught a bug or the like will get well soon! Have a great evening & weekend everyone!!!

I am afraid to admit this but winter seems to have passed us by this year. We have only had snow twice and once was not enough to worry about. The flowers are blooming, although a bit weakly and the temps are in the 60's most days. If I could be sure of the weather being like this next year I would tempted to stick around to meet Pooh123 and a few others that I saw on the DisCon list. Of course, my favorite bear would be our Helenabear!! Bet she would let me come over to the Poly to watch the EWP with her. (grin)

Justmee, I have never actually been to the Hoopdedoo Review. Haven't really been too interested as I am from a rural background and that sort of thing is old hat to me. Have been to the Grand Ole Opry many times, in the Ryman and the new theater and not much could match that. I have even sung on the GOO stage. Now mind you it was with a tour group, but what the hey, I did it. (grin) We grew up poor and the only radio we had was in the car so we would troop out on Saturday nights and listen to the show. I called my dad after my first trip there to share the feeling. Went to Branson one year and saw a lot of our favorite Old Timers. A lot of them come to the Little Nashville Opry near here. I read in a tour book one time that if you were a cheapskate ( like me) you could go to the Diamond Horseshoe and see much the same thing. Since the cutbacks that might not be so true. No dancing girls anymore. DH will be so disappointed. I like to sit in one of the balcony seats. You slip in early and get a drink and perhaps a snack and it is a wonderful way to relax at DW. If you time it right you can watch the parade after the show. Just dont take any food outside with you. It is an Alfred Hitchcock nightmare out there with all the "Birds". You might be able to change my mind about it though. There are a lot of things I would do if I had small children to do them with. Especially such sweet ones as you have.

I am so sorry you are getting our share of the white stuff. I feel a bit guilty. I will try to send some of our warmth you way so it will at least melt soon.

Linda, I was in Disneyland last month for meetings and fun. Went to a DIS meet with my pal WM Michelle and met Teri (and her adorable kids), Mary Jo (and her terrific kids), The Lion King, Bob Brazeal, Barb for real, luvdsny (Tia), TammyH and Dumbo or Bust (Dayna) who kept us laughing!!

Next month 7 wonderful day at WDW with Michelle and her daughter Sammy. More meetings, but more fun! :) I love my job!

I was at DIS Con I with my own DD, Meg and we had a wonderful mother/daughter trip. In May, our family is celebrating my parents' 45th wedding anniversary with a 7 night Disney cruise and 3 nights at Old Key West.

I will really try to stop in more often, I do keep up reading, just not always posting. I would love to meet all of you and was happy to meet bashful last Dec.

Wishing you all a very nice weekend and Happy St. Patrick's Day!

This Suite is so large I cannot keep up with you all. We are going to have to put in a bulletin board with INS and OUTS so we can keep track of who is in and who is out and about.

Cathy, if anyone ever had a 'dream' job it is you. BTW would happen to know a travel agent that work(s) (ed) for or with Disney named Robbie Adaskes? She is a friend of my sister, who lives in Clearwater. I know there are probably hundreds, if not more, agents for Disney but I thought I would ask. I will tell you a funny if you promise not to let it get back to my sister, just in case you DO know Robin. Robin offered my DS an almost free trip to Italy last year for her 50th birthday. She is a very lucky type lady and has gotten used to winning and getting things so she is a bit jaded. She was upset that she would have to pay for her own food and went into work the next day and she had won a cruise so she sold it for enough to cover the food. She was not too happy about going on a trip with 'blue hairs' and was mollified to find out that it was a male sports team they would be taking. So far so good, right? LOL When she returned she was quite put out cause the group they were leading kept insisting on them doing things for them!! Can you imagine? (grinz) She was absolutely dead serious when she told me that they could have arranged things for themselves instead of 'bothering' them. I am sure that Robin did not feel that way but I do not think my sister had ever been a part of leading a tour before. I thought it was funny, myself. I love my sister dearly and it is not often that she does anything that funny. We are about as opposite as people can get. I ain't very fancy. I think it takes a very special person to do what you do and keep your composure and do it over and over again.

Helenabear, you are sweet to be so encouraging but believe me, if I don't lose some weight, the only thing that will be good looking about me is the daisies I will be pushing up. (smile) You just added a pound or two with your description of the brownie dessert. Sounds like a fun day at the office.

I am looking forward to May also. It does not hurt to dream about December also though. I saw so many familiar names on the list. It was not as long as I had thought it would be though. I guess it is hard for hundreds of us to get together at the same time even in our favorite place.

If I were you I would NEVER sleep in the same room as your sister and if she were in the next room I would have a big lock on the door. I would not be able to sleep for fear she would douse me again! Mine is not a gentle snore of youth but rather the advanced rumblings of maturity. I would never sleep on the top floor of a building for fear of the roof collapsing. Is so bad sometimes I wake myself up! Now, that is bad. My sister who lives in Columbus has a machine to breath with. Our mom had the same thing.

You will have to leave a nice picture of yourself to keep your 'babies' company while you are gone. Have Luis to keep your pillowcase on so they will have your smell to comfort them. I do not know much about animals so these might be silly suggestions. Think of how much everyone will miss you and how much more they will appreciate you when you return. I keep telling my DH "How can I miss you if you never leave"? LOL

Good Morning, my friends!

How are you all doing, today? So sorry that I've fallen so far behind! My charming cold of earlier this week turned into bronchitis. Fortunately, I caught it early, so it's not too bad. But I returned to work to find my boss on a rampage (not quite sure why - he might be getting pressure from "above"), having individual meetings with some of us and telling us that we're not working up to our full capacities, etc. With my not feeling so well on top of that, that hit me pretty hard, so I'm resigning myself to not checking the Boards when I'm at work (you know how easily one can get "hooked" doing that!) any more. :( Especially since I still don't know what my new job will be under the big reorganization plan (or if they'll offer me one at all), I think that I'd better stay on "the straight and narrow" when I'm there. At least (after being out for the first 3 days of this week) my boss let me leave early yesterday to go to the doctor and get a prescription for an antibiotic. Started it yesterday and am already feeling a little better. Hopefully this whole thing will pass, soon. All this to say, sorry that I haven't been around much lately! I'll just have to post from home at night or early in the mornings, now! Thank you for all of your thoughtful get well wishes! :)

Thanks so much for stopping in, Dan! Hope that all is well with you and your family and that the sun is always shining on all of you, as well!

Great to see you again, Webmaster CC! That's great that you were able to spend some time in DL and that you have another DCL trip coming up so soon! You really do have a great job! It sounds like so much fun - even the actual "work" part is fun! And you get to see and meet so many nice and interesting people, too! That's so nice that your family is celebrating your parents' 45th wedding anniversary with the cruise! My parents' 45th wedding anniversary is tomorrow - I wish that my mother was well enough to be able to travel somewhere. But we're going to have some sort of celebration for them, anyway! I wish that I could make it to DIS CON this year! I also wish that I could make it to Super Soap Weekend to meet the ladies with whom I discuss "All My Children" every day! But since we're going......in exactly 79 days (!!!)......I don't think that we'll be able to go again, this year. :( Well......there's always DIS CON III, next year! :) You know, every time that there's a Disney wedding on "A Wedding Story", I always seem to miss it! :( It seems that when ever I'm not home on a week day (which is most of the time), someone tells me that they showed either a wedding of 2 people who met while working at WDW or a wedding that took place there, on that show! I hope to catch one of those episodes, one of these years!

That's so great that you may be able to go, Helenabear! I'm sure that it will be an absolute blast! And you will be meeting so many of the people with whom you "speak" every day, that you won't feel like you're there "alone"! I agree with Jstmee, though - I have travelled alone before, and it really is fun and relaxing, too! You will have to give us full details of the convention, when you go, and bring back tons of pictures of yourself and everyone else to show us! I love meeting people with whom I correspond, too - it's really neat to put faces and voices with the people whom you get to know so well by writing! And I'm sure that Luis will take wonderful care of the kitties while you're away, and give you full reports of their adventures every day! That's the one thing that I'm not looking forward to about going away in June - leaving the cats! My father will take good care of them, as he always does, but I will miss them! Frank is thinking of giving his cats a "vacation" and leaving them with his former roommate while we're gone, so that we don't have to worry about them getting into fights with my cats while we're not around to "monitor" them. (yes, they're still occasionally fighting - even though Laverne and Ashley are separated at all times, Ashley will pick fights with the others when she's out, and Tasha also picks fights with the others. I guess we just can't win!) I cannot believe that your sister actually dumped water all over you and your bed because you didn't set the alarm! What a way to wake up! Well, at least you won't have to worry about that, if you travel to DIS CON by yourself!

Thanks so much for the soup recipe, SG! I will definitely try it (now that I'm a big "master chef", you know........yeah, right!) - it sounds really good, and not too difficult (for my cooking-challenged skills) to make! Don't worry about those few ounces - don't be discouraged! You know that those ounces could represent anything - maybe you had a glass of water right before they weighed you - or maybe you hadn't (if you'll excuse the expression) "gone to the bathroom" yet that day - anything could account for those few ounces. A million dollars says that the next time you get on the scale, you will have lost several pounds! I don't think that you really "gained" those ounces at all! You're doing a great job - keep it up! Don't let the numbers on the scale become too meaningful - just keep doing what ever you're doing! And remember Helenabear's wise words - you are a beautiful person inside (AND out!), and that's far more important than numbers on a scale or anything else! And think about what you said yourself, too - sometimes when you least expect it or think that you had a "bad" week, you find out that it was actually a "good" week! I haven't exercised at all, this week, since I've been sick. I was sure that I had put on a few pounds (from drinking gallons of orange juice, alone!), but I finally dragged myself onto the scale and found that I had stayed exactly the same. So, sometimes when you least expect it, you wind up being pleasantly surprised! Glad to hear that all is well at the library - it's so nice that you enjoy and get so much satisfaction from working there! I hope that everything works out for your niece and her fiance, whether they decide to go through with their marriage or not. Will you still be making the trip out to Ohio, even if for whatever reason they decide not to get married? I can't wait to hear about your meeting with Helenabear!

I can't believe that it's been colder down where you are, Angelina, than it has been up here! Talk about freaky weather, this winter! And it sounds like you have literally had snow on the ground for MONTHS, Jstmee! I can't believe how much snow you've had, up there! Like Helenabear and SG, we've been very lucky this winter, in the North East - we only had one tiny snow, which completely disappeared the following day, and it's been in the 60's almost every day, recently. It even hit 70, 2 days this week (that's probably why I got sick!)! I'm hoping that it just keeps getting warmer and warmer, here - I'm definitely ready for spring, even though my closets aren't! I have clothes in so many sizes that I will just have to go "shopping" in another closet to find some spring clothes to wear that fit! Or I might eventually even break into the storage tubs in the garage, that hold the I-never-thought-I-would-fit-into-this-again-but-saved-it-for-wishful-thinking clothes! I will have to find some new things for our honeymoon - I don't think that those 8 pairs of great (and "thigh-rub-protective") shorts that I found last year will fit me, this year. I keep trying to find more like them, but haven't been successful. Oh well - maybe as it gets closer to summer, I will see them again in a catalog.

Lots of good luck with your upcoming GS sleepover, Angelina, and lots of PD! I'm sure that it will be a lot of work, but it will also be fun! I'm echoing SG's question - do you do arts and crafts also? How was the fair that you attended? I wish that I had the artistic talent (or patience) to do crafts! The closest that I come is making my photo album / scrapbooks.....and they're not very "artistic" - just a place to store my memories and 5 billion pictures! I hope that your flowers thaw out, soon! I hate when that happens - when the flowers start to bloom and then there's a frost. Our flowers are all starting to come up, and there are buds on the trees and bushes, too. I just hope that we don't have one our our famous March freezes or snowstorms to ruin it all!

You are certainly keeping busy up there, Jstmee! It's so neat that you and your DH are coaching the basketball team - that must be a lot of fun! Glad to hear that you are feeling well! That is wonderful! I hope that the snow that was predicted for your area doesn't prevent you from attending your DH's Cursillo weekend. I hope that everything goes well and that you enjoy yourselves! I also love the Hoop Dee Doo Revue, even though I haven't seen it in almost 30 years! I went several times in the mid 70's with my mother and my cousin, but have not seen the show as an adult. From what I understand and from the pictures that I've seen, it has barely changed, if at all, since it opened! I think it's nice that it's essentially the same show - it's nice to think that some things at WDW don't change and are pretty much the way that I remember them from my childhood trips! Even the EWP uses different music (and 2 different floats) than it did when I saw it as a child!

Well, I just wanted to stop in and say "hi"! So sorry that I haven't been in touch in so long! I will have to "readjust" my posting "schedule" so that I can check into the Suite at night.....and not get myself in trouble at work!

Will definitely join you all for a splash in the jacuzzi and a trip to Fort Wilderness!

Hope that you're all having a great weekend! :)

IASW, sorry to hear about the bronchitis!! :( Feel better soon! And Happy Anniversary to your parents today!!

I wondered if Angelina did arts and crafts too, my Dad is a woodcarver and my Mom makes quilts. Unfortunately their talents skipped a generation! :)

jstmee, I didn't read far enough back, what is the Cursillo weekend?

Elaine, I think a pic of your babies and a pic of you for them may help ease the pain of separation for all of you! :)

SG, I do have a dream job. The only hard part from working at home is the 12 hour days 7 days a week. My own fault, I can't walk away. :) Thanks for the soup recipe, I will pass it along to my Mom (we call her the Soup Nazi, she makes AWESOME soup of all kinds) as well as trying it myself!

Enjoy the weekend everyone!
CC

Cathy, a Cursillo weekend is to further broaden the spirituality of a Christian, it's a movement that brings us all together so to speak in our community and other communities. My DH will be at a retreat from Thurs night until Sunday evening. It's weird not talking to him at all for this long. We always speak daily many times a day. But I am praying for him to have a good weekend.

My two littlest are sleeping at friends houses tonight, so it's just the twins and I. We should have a nice evening together. One of them has a book report to work on. He's coming to kick me off the computer now.

IASW Rider, take a nice hot steam bath to clear your lungs, I hope you get better soon. That's rough to get back to work and have a lecture. I hope things simmer down soon.

My DS is breathing down my neck, so adios for now. Wendy

Good afternoon everyone! We are a chatty group lately :)

SG, I will say one little thing to you... do what you feel you need to so I don't ever have to hear you talking about 'pushing up daisies' okay :) You know as for the December dream, I eat Chinese a lot and I got this neat fortune. It says "Start believing in your dreams and others will catch the fever." I got it the day Luis agreed to give me the tax return for my trip! So don't write of WDW in December. I am hoping to be there for 8 days, so even if you can stay until the 1st or the 2nd, we may be able to see each other there :)

I admit, my sister is a trip. Recently I had the pleasure of trying to describe her to a friend of mine. I love her dearly but sometimes she is such a pain. I was just glad that there was some dry spots on the bed, but it really put a damper on my trip (no pun intended there). She has some great qualities but we are like night and day with how we act and think. There have been many many fights between us but recently I decided that the majority of the time it isn't worth my time to argue with her.

We have pictures for the cats of me that they can see if they want, but I think I will also make sure that I leave a shirt of mine out on the bed for them to smell to be kind of reassured when I am gone. I can't believe I am saying this, but I will miss them more than Luis... only because I will be able to talk to Luis on the phone and he understands where I am and why. The babies on the other hand... well they just don't understand. I know Luis though, he will put the cats on the phone for me so they can at least hear mama's voice :) I also know with the amount of fuzz they leave everywhere, I will always have at least a small part of them with me  :D

Rider, I am so sorry to hear about your bronchitis!!! I am glad you caught it early. A co-worker of mine last year didn't catch it and it turned into pnuemonia! If we don't see you as much during the day, I will certainly understand. I haven't had the time to go here as much as well during the work day. I am fine for short posts on the CB or a PM here and there but long posts just take too long at work :(

Jstmee & Cathy, always a pleasure to see you drop in! Wendy, I hope you enjoy your evening with the twins! Cathy I wish you a Happy St. Patrick's Day as well! Angelina I hope all is well with you!!!

I have some things to do as Luis just came home from work... he's already bugging me about dinner  Have a great weekend all!

Thanks for the explanation Wendy. I know you will miss him, that is a long time, but it sounds like something that is important to do and he will benefit greatly from it.

Take care everyone and feel better IASW!!
CC

Dear Helenabear

You know that hate and love are not opposites but are, in fact, very close relatives. I think this is why our families drive us nuts! I cannot talk a lot about your sister though as I am quilty of something very close to what she did to you. When Austin was a couple of years younger it was very hard to wake him up, he was like his Mom. One time, after trying everything, I threatened to drop an ice cube down his drawers. As a good grandparent I had to keep my word and I did it. LOL I never had a problem getting him to get up again though and he still talks about it, with a grin on his face!

Wonderful Rider, I am so sorry you are sick. I hope you caught it in time so it does not turn into something else or linger for long. I was a bit worried about that since it seemed you were off work for more than one day and you are not a malingerer. We will surely understand not hearing from you so much in the daytime. I was reading about some sharewear recently and they had some program that closed everything down at once called the "Boss Button" and was going to send it to you and Lisa to tease you a bit. It sounds like a scary time at work. I am glad that you are an indispensable type person and am sure that they know it at work also. You sent me a description of what all you did and what you had to learn to get to where you are and I was so dumbfounded. I could barely understand it let alone be able to do it. I am not surprised that you do it and so well because I have noticed your talented eye for detail and remembering things. You can even remember what songs were at a show when you were a kid and how many they have added. Awesome!!!

Delightful Jstmee, Isn't it wonderful to get to spend some special time with your kids one on one or in your case one on two? LOL I am sure that you will miss your DH this weekend but I am sure you are hoping for him to share some of what you have learned on your travels. I cannot think of a better reason for him to be gone for the weekend. It will give you both so much to talk about in the future. I hope the homework gets done soon so you guys can get down to just having a great evening. Lucky kids!

Friendly WM Cathy C - You are welcome for the soup recipe. It is 0 point WW soup and you are supposed to be able to eat as much as you want without gaining weight. Tastes a lot better than the cabbage soup ever did IMHO. Just occured to me how hard it must be for you to retain your girlish figure with all that Disney food around all the time. All the running around the parks and keeping up with your groups must be what keeps you so young and fit.

We went to an auction with my Dh's brothers this morning and then went to look at some houses, none that we liked better than ours though. Even went to eat at Cracker Barrel. Lucky me, they had corned beef with veggies so it was on program and I was very happy with it. I gave my biscuits to my DH so he was happy also. Even have enough points left over to have some popcorn with a video tonight. Good day, but the needle has not budged. I am getting quite irritated as I am not cheating in anyway and usually do not have much trouble losing weight the first few months. I will quit gripping and just keep moving and see what happens. LOL

Bought a couple of new educational programs for the grands so I am going to play with them tonight while I watch the movie. Trust me to never do one thing at a time!! Must be why I don't do any one thing really well. Jill of all trades and master of none.

A great and fun filled weekend to you all from me. I have never riden one of the "Mice" so I think I will go see what that is all about. I hear the Pop Century is going to have them. Hope it is open this year. If anyone wants to join me that is wonderful but PLEASE remember this is NOT bumper cars! (grin)

Good evening all!

Linda, I have used the water mice several times in the last few trips to WDW. I absolutely love them!!! They are just so much fun to zip around in. I tried some little boats for the first time in 1990, and they were similar to the water mice but slower and had an inner tube type body around them. They were at the CBR and I think the reason they had those as opposed to the regular water mice was because the lake was rather small compared to the Seven Seas Lagoon or the like. Those were a lot of fun, but the true water mice (which honestly look like little motor boats) are so much fun. The last two times I went, I rented one. The last time I had the option of staying out for an hour in one so we did!!! As much fun as it is to rent them in a small lake, renting at the Seven Seas Lagoon area is really cool. I zipped around all over the Lagoon and Bay Lake. They were definitely worth renting!!!

I was thinking, SG, maybe you shouldn't look at the weight for right now. Sometimes the first 10 pounds are just as hard to lose the last. If you are doing your best to be healthy that says a lot! Keep at it, but don't pressure yourself. Just feel good for now that you are eating healthy (I know a lot of consulation can be found there most of the time  )

Love & hate are very closely related. Both involve a passion of the heart and involve deep inner emotions. There are times I'd love to never speak to my sister again but I know, I really love her. Families are great but sometimes it is easy to get rather mad at the others in the family. I will say one thing though Linda, there is a HUGE difference between warning Austin that he will get an icecube down his drawers if he doesn't get up vs. a sister who throws water on you right BEFORE you go to sleep becuase you won't pick a time to set the alarm for. I knew I would get up on my own and she didn't like the answer. Austin talks about it with a smile and I talk about mine with a scowl on my face. She is family and it would take a lot more than a wet bed for me never to speak to her again.

You guys sound like you have more excitement in my life than I do. Saturdays Luis works so I am usually at home. I did go out looking at dresses for my sister's wedding since I heard there was a good clearance sale at Marshall Fields. Let me tell you, I found some great dresses, but none are plain enough for her wedding :( They were also $27 each and if I had an excuse to buy a dress, I would have bought one!!! I hope I find something by the end of this summer because if I don't, I doubt I will be able to do anything except dish out the money and buy a real brides maides dress. The rest of my day was spent doing almost nothing. I put air in my tires and went out and brought us dinner back, but other wise I popped in here and the rest of the CB. PM'd some friends and read some in a book I had. Other wise I had a boring day.

Well it's been great hearing all you busy people do all the time. SG, I am sure your grands will love what you bought! Rider, I hope your mom has a great day despite the fact she is not well. I hope you and Cathy are feeling better soon as well. Wendy, best of luck this weekend with the twins & keep telling yourself your DH will be home soon so you can talk like you always do! I will check back later :)

It's so nice to pop in here. I am getting ready for bed, yes, midnight, a little late but DH is away so what the heck....and I am so lucky to have found all of you. I get to go to sleep with a smile because of the little bits you share from your life. The ice cube down the pants is just precious Linda, and Elaine I simply cannot believe the water on your bed because of an alarm clock. But, I do have three brothers and we just had a coexistant life together growing up. We fought a lot but that was when we were very much youngsters......

My twins took ME out to dinner in Canada. A place called Seafood Paradise. We all had the "Titanic". It had a small lobster tail, jumbo shrimp and a filet.....It was such a wonderful meal and the company with my twins was very heart warming. The cost was $21.99 per plate, but it was Canadian money. So, for what we got it was well worth it.....

Cathy, I'm sure you much have difficulty traveling in the states with the horrible exchange rate for you.

Rider, lot's of nice soup coming your way. I hope you are feeling better and I hope you took this weekend to rest and recuperate.

I went to a Holy Hour after dinner, where we prayer for all the men that are doing their weekends.....That was nice also.....I'm really excited to see how my DH's weekend went.

I'm sure you have heard all about the priest in the Boston area. Well, two of our area church's have priests that were ousted last week. Their wrongdoings were done 22 and 24 years ago. One of the church's was the one I go to and teach at. It has been a very emotional time for all of us up in this little community.

On a much better note. Our friends, the 13 yr old boy and his father that had the botulism are finally home from the hospital. Now they'll have over a year to recuperate. Make a Wish gave them a trip to Disney. Not sure when they'll be well enough to take it though. But we are glad they made it home.

The sandman is calling my name. Toodles, Wendy

Jstmee, I am so glad to hear about the boy and father who have botulism. I am glad that they were able to finally go home. I certainly hope the next year goes well for them.

You have some pretty precious children to take you out to dinner! I keep forgetting how close you are to Canada. I guess I am not really that far away, but I haven't been across the boarder in many years. It sounds like you had a great dinner!

Siblings I admit are wonderful. My sister is just as stubborn as I am and so that was her way of getting back. My brother and I had the physical fights every blue moon but not the mean words only fights that my sister and I have/had. Let me tell you, even though my brother was older & bigger, I would rather have had his fights over my sister comments. But that is how life is with siblings.

I hope you all have a great night! And Wendy, remember at least in my eyes, midnight isn't too late :D
