Day 4.
I woke up early today feeling slightly apprehensive about the impending Segway tour, so get up on my own and potter around getting Evies stuff ready for the day ahead, to save Mum and dad the bother (and cos Im a control freak when it comes to Evie! LOL).
We are up and out at 8am and get through the gate at opening, where it is staright over to guest relations. We begin by signing a waiver form (!!!!!) and are given a name badge, mine saying Bertie on it LOL! Our instructor phil came to get us and took us round to Segway Central (which was in full view of the general public to my horror!) where we watched a safety video (made me even more jittery!!) and then we learnt how to use it. We practised going round cones and up and down hills - this lasted a good hour until we were all confident. We found it pretty easy, but some members of the group found it a little more difficult - one guy even fell off, but he was showing off (IMO!!). However, everyone was deemed safe enough to go round the park and off we went round to world showcase (we felt like celebrities!!). We were took round each country and given trivia about them. It was fantastic fun, though I found it slightly tiring on the old legs towards the end. I thoroughly enjoyed the whole thing, although felt drained at the end, so went off for a long lunch. (Stopping to get Soarin fast passes first).
We ate outside in the Mexico pavillion. I had a mixed plate and Simon had nachos. We took a slow walk around the world and stopped in the UK for a cider. Then we headed over to Soarin, which was just fantastic. I was worried that it wouldnt be as good as the hype, but we loved it. Simon bought a limited edition Soarin pin. We wandered over to Spaceship Earth and went round that - at this point the early morning had caught up with me, so we decided to meet mum and dad and head back to the villa for a few hours. Mum and Dad stayed in the park so they could do the rides they hadnt got done and we arranged to meet back at the park at 7pm.
We relaxed in front of the telly for a few hours and had a pizza. We both felt much better for the break, then it was back over to EPCOT.
Mum and dad were eating in the Electric Umbrella when we arrived, so si and I nipped over to test Track and went in the single Rider queue, which was only 10 minutes. I ove this attraction, it has to be one of my favourites in WDW and I laughed all the way round as usual! We went back to mum and dad and all had a wander through Mouse Gear (I love that shop!) And went to get a spot for IllumiNations. The show was as wonderful as ever - dont you just love that music! Evie slept through the whole thing.
Then it was out and off to bed!
