Day 3.

Up at 7am with Evie, so decided to relax in front of the telly before our “day at the pool”. Now the reason we were having a relaxing day is that when we are in Orlando Simon always moans that we never get a chance to chill out, so I decided that we would have this day for him. However, when Mum and Dad appear and say they are off to Sea World, Simon decides we should go too. It didn’t take much persuasion really, so off we went!

It was off to see the penguins first and then the sealions. We saw a brand new born sealion with her mother.

We went over to the Busch house for our lunch (and free beer of course!) I think the food is delicious here. Simon had a chicken ceaser salad, Mum had a beef sandwich and dad and I had a stew in a huge bread roll, it was absolutely yummy. After a walk round the shop here we went to show Evie the beautiful shire horses and then over to shark encounter. Evie got a little toy Walrus from Granny and I bought myself a large Walrus (a toy one, that is!). Evie was quite taken with him and liked to pull his tusks!

Then it was over to Shamu stadium to see the 3 o clock Believe show. It never fails to amuse when the whales splash people! Evie wasn’t impressed and fell asleep as soon as we got there! LOL! We then sat around deciding what to do next. It was decided that mum and dad would have Evie for the rest of the day, so we could have some time to ourselves. Mum and dad set back off round the park whilst we ummed and ahhed what to do. Let’s go to disney!!! We picked up Anytime passes at the gate (this means you can go back into the park anytime for the next 6 consecutive days, a great deal I think!) and we headed over to MGM Studios! Hurrah!

We park in Film and head straight in and over to RNRC. Although I go on coasters, I’m not a huge fan of them and still get very nervous in the queues. It was a 20 minute wait and I was ok till you get through and see all the cars zooming off, the my heart starts racing! I just hate that bit when you are sitting waiting to go and….AAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH!!!! I enjoyed it (sort of) but still like the DLP version better. We catch the end of the parade and then go into Great Movie Ride, which was walk on. I have always loved this ride and still do, we got the gangster this time. Over to Star wars, we were on the back row, which always seems to make me feel a little queasy. This was walk on also. We are feeling peckish so head over to the outside eating area near RNRC, where Si has chicken strips (surprise, surprise!) and I have a burger. Over dinner we decide we should head back soon, as we have to be up early for our Segway tour the next day. So, we do some shopping on the way out, some Mickey earrings and necklace for me and a Villains pin for simon. We were pleased to have been to MGM as we weren’t sure we would fit it in that week.

On the way home we stop in some of those cheesy bargain shops on the 192, which I just can’t resist! I end up buying a red Mickey fleece, which I’m very pleased with. (Lots of purchases today! YEAH!) When we get back around 9, mum and dad are just arriving back from the premium Outlets, where they got new trainers and dad got 2 Ralph lauren shirts.

Off to bed! EPCOT and SEGWAY tour tomorrow.

What a lovely day, Verity, thanks for sharing. I love penguins, so Seaworld is great as they have so many!

I am impatiently waiting for each installment as we will be taking our then 9 month grandson in November and so any tips would be great travelling with a baby (his mum and auntie are coming too!!!)
Evie is a little sweetheart.

Another fantastic day Verity.

I love those cheesey shops on the 192 as well.

What a lovely day Verity. Hasn't Evie got some nice Grandparents that let you have a bit of time to yourselves ?? Lovely piccies and I can't wait to hear about your Segway Tour :)

:thumbsup2 thanks for sharing enjoy your reports and photos

I always buy Ralph Lauren shirts too!!! Great value. Dillards in the Florida Mall is pretty good for them.
Great reports Verity, it makes me so glad we've just booked for August, finally!
Ds and dd slept their ways round Orlando the first time we took them, made me wish occasionally I was 10 months old! Easier than walking the miles you usually do in theme parks!:)
Looking forwards to the rest of your reports,
Ian

Sounds like a great family and then non-family day out!
