Not to get too crazy with this - but my email says nothing about printing it, saving it, or bringing it at check-in.

Nor does my reservation so far.

When you booked, did you give them a pin? Do you have a copy of your confirmation yet? If you gave them a pin when you booked, then they know you have it & may not require you to have it for check in.. but not being asked for one & not giving one, they may want proof that you really had it.. knowing they know exactly who they sent one to. I was not one of them..which could be why my TA was told that.. they are trying to cover for their mistake. They see I am booked with a code that required a pin, there was no pin given, therefore when I check in, they want me to provide it... see what I am saying.. makes perfect sense to me.. I can see them doing that too.. even though the error was on their end... not mine...

I cannot pull up my ressie online since she booked it... I am in limbo now.

This is what drove me crazy about our ressie last year when I booked thru AAA. I hated that I couldn't even LOOK at my ressie.

Like someone else said, I like to pull it up SEVERAL times a day & stare at it as if it is some pretty jewel!

my postcard says nothing about needing it a checkin just that i would need to give the pin when i booked. i prob will bring it since i do have it. but if the postcard doesnt say and the cm doesnt tell you how would anyone know that they would need it.

I also have my confirmation with the z code. There is no notes on bring any back up post cards. I really don't think its needed. I wouldn't think Disney would want anyone to hold on to a postcard for 10 months.

Some of us never got postcards. I didn't get one. But I did have a pin in their system. For most of us, it's been almost 2 weeks. I really think it is okay.

A Mickey - I have my hard copy confirmation. It states the code (the Z one) and says nothing about needing any documentation when checking in. I have checked three times now. It looks EXACTLY the same as the paperwork I received for my trip we just returned from (I used a public code then).

Hmmmmmmmmm. I used a B code. What is this Z code everyone is referring to? Is it the same as the B code?

B is for room only while the zebras are packages. I called and my CM tried really hard to supply a code, but then we figured out that even though my dates are part of the wonderful weeks of disney, they were not part of the "target" dates. I need Aug. 15-19 and the target date for August starts August 21, so the code would not work for me. Yes I have the pin codes, actually 3 different ones, but they don't help much if you are not booking insides target dates.

I have two current reservations with Disney. One with a code and one without. I tried to pull them up on the Disney website last night and tonight to no avail. Anyone else having this problem?

I have a client who booked three different time frames and originally the code was applied to it. The CM said that was okay - it had been done all day with no problems.

When I contacted them yesterday to book someone else and to request the copies of the confirmations sent to me, since our online booking confirmation takes 24-48 hrs. to receive, they are still diddling around with them. Again I called today to fax them to me and email me the confirmation - once at 9:30 AM and again at 6:45PM and I am still waiting.

However, they did tell me that , "Yes, your clients have the code, but they need to show the card with the pin attached to it at check-in or they will have to pay the full price, so warn them ahead of time." Whether they are going to do it to everyone, I will love to see anyone who encounters this problem post it and let us know what happened at check in.

As TAs, you give me a code and we call and apply it. However, if you are not entitled to it - don't blame us. I warned my clients and let them know what they have said - there are other codes out there and I will check to see if anything else will apply to them, because I don't want their magical stay ruined.

Those that take the chance, good look and lets see what Disney decides to do. The only thing I can say, if there are a lot of people there at the time they start to deny you the room for those rates, to have a major shouting demonstration by everyone (hey maye the TV stations and press will show up) and then they won't want that bad pulicity.

Good Luck to all.

this is what my current confirmation for my March trip has.. booked with AP code... this is why I would think that they would have it on the confirmation..this is the actual wording.. (copy & Paste)

A Mickey - I don't see anything that looks remotely similar to your 'resort information" on my confirmation. I booked a package, not a room only ressie if that makes any difference.

Mine does say:

Arrival: xx/xx/xxxx
Type: Hotel
Description: Name of hotel, type of room/view, special requests

I know that a lot of people don't know about these boards, I am always pointing people in this direction when they are going to see. the Mouse.I have been following this whole thing compulsively since last week. I have seen many postings by people who were given a discount without asking for any codes. This has got to be going on out in the real world with John Q Public also because we all know sometimes you just get really helpful CM's.It is the luck of the call. Now, you can't tell me that all these people, that have no clue that any of this is going on, are going to show up in Florida and have someone say where is your postcard. i just can't imagine a business that would operate with these tactics.

A Mickey - mine isn't online - it is a hard copy confirmation. Mailed through the USPS. I didn't get an email confirmation - don't really need one - I got a confirmation on WDW letterhead through snail mail.

I can access my ressie via the WDW website - that also says nothing about postcards, etc.

Did it occur to people that perhaps all this inconsistent CM information is due to us calling from different parts of the country and getting different Disney agent locations? I know of at least three states with call centers...there are probably more. :)

I just called CRO, and the CM said that the Z code was for specific people ONLY! He didn't even ask me where I got it, he just said "I wish people would stop posting codes that are not for everyone." He said, "Please post on the website that these codes are not for everyone." He was very nice, but he said that I did not have a pin code and could not use it. He said, "There is a problem with that code." He didn't elaborate on the problem... I'm assuming that the problem is that people might have been allowed to book w/it w/out a pin code?????????????

I am really wondering if they will put it in writing on the confirmations ..as they do with AP & FL rate codes.. lf it isn't in writing, wonder if they are going to ask???? That would be a shocker if one booked on thier own & Disney does not tell them, at least a TA can give their clients that heads up...
Sometimes Disney really makes me wonder.. but that is Disney for ya.. leave up to your imagination :wizard: Is it a real general public code, is it a wish come true (Wishes), is it a ploy to get you there, is it really for those only with PINS???? .... we know it is not Magic ;)

For this March trip, I got both. Actually the first time that I got both. Usually just get hard copy. I got the hard copy about a weeks & a half ago, then paid my deposit last week... a day later, I got the email confirmation showing I paid my deposit... that was the first I had ever seen them do that...:confused3

You are right!!!! But Disney will ask... I can't say the definatly will but I am 99% sure they will .. (allow 1% error ;) )
