Everything You Ever Wanted to Know About Meal Vouchers

I ordered 2 breakfast adults, 2 breakfast child, 2 adult lunch features and 24 Q & C vouchers online with hotwire after joining yesterday. There was a glitch in the system and I had to call to see if the order went through. By the time I got off the phone I had to leave and would order them again today. ON the website it now says this benefit feature is no longer available. I called hotwire and they said they don't have them anymore. I am really disappointed since I planned my meals around them and wanted to prepay my meals so I would not worry about it. We are on a land sea trip using the old tickets and I don't think we can get a dining plan and I don't know if that would end up costing more or not. The vouchers I was buying totaled $396. Any one have an options?

Thanks. :guilty:

I have a land/cruise trip with the old ultimate park hopper tickets. I reserved the cruise a year ago. If the Q & C vouchers are no longer available can we change our land portion of tickets for magic your way tickets and add the dining plan? or will disney allow you to purchase a dining plan separate? The add on dining plan would actually be a bit cheaper than the vouchers. 3 adults (11yr old) and 1 child for 4 days is $460 VS. $396 for 24 Q & Cs, 2 VKL vouchers and 4 breakfast vouchers plus paying for dinner at the crystal palace for $75 = $471. I have a email into my travel agent but I am anxious to know what my options are before the money burns a hole in my pocket! I want to enjoy our trip and not worry about keeping enough money to eat.

Sorry, but you can't add the dining option, it's only included in a package that includes room & ticket. They may let you change over to the MYW package though. I'm surprised that the vouchers are gone already. Hope it all works out for you.

jayally,
Since the land portion of your vacation is a package, it might be very possible that the dining option could be added to it. You passes will, in all likelihood be some sort of MYW premium pass with expiry, since the UPHs no longer exist. Perhaps, after all the dust settles from this changeover, you or your TA can find out from Disney if it is a possibility of adding the dining option to your package. I wouldn't expect an answer too soon. Things are a mess at CRO and on the website.

How do you order from hotwire. I joined and got a member number but don't see anything on the website about connections or vouchers. Help!

Vouchers are no longer available on the Hotwire website, they have discontinued them because of the MYW tickets.

I just called and bought 4 Q & C Vouchers from Hotwire my sister (she'll be there in March) John - the rep I spoke with said that the vouchers were not available on the website but you can call and get them - until they are all gone. This includes Disney tickets too. He said its not clear or not if they will be discontinued or not.

Disney has contracts at many different places (like their Youth Group Programs - if you are taking 10+ children ages 3-22) you can book and get extremely cheap hoppers. A 5 day plus hopper is $145 for a child - age 3-22 - for every 5 childs tickets you buy you get 1 free chaperones ticket and you can buy 2 chaperones tickets for the childs prices - and any additional adult tx for $245 (includes tax). They sell Q & C vouchers for $10.50 and so many other great breakfast vouchers/resort breakfast/character meals - and even a voucher for the Cheesecake factory in DisneyQuest. All the water parks are $21 which includes taxes. If your taking a Youth Group they are soooo much to offer - which is why the Cheerleaders have such a wonderful stay at Disney

I plan on going to the World in May, can I still get VKL and Q & C vouchers?? Does Hotwire sell both??

Hotwire sell those two vouchers and the breakfast Vouchers too. They are all out of the VKL vouchers. If you are a member you need to call because they are no longer selling them online. If you call and they are still available you can get some. When I called yesterday morning I was told that they had very few left.

Hi,
I've been lucky enough to buy both Q&C and VKL vouchers off E Bay at not grossly exagerated prices :cool1: (we don't have access to Hotwire / Connections etc here in the UK)
My question is about the VKL vouchers. We intend to try for a ps at the Crystal Palace which will take care of 2 ad and 1 child voucher (DH, myself and DD age 6) That will leave me with 2 ad and 3 children's vouchers.
For eating elsewhere do you think that using 1 adult and 1 childs voucher for a meal will give us enough food? It may seem a silly question but DH had major surgery in Feb 2004 which involved removing part of his jaw so he finds eating very tiring and is virtually never able to finish a full meal. I want to eat at the Rainforest cafe and understand that there shouldn't be a problem there but DD wants to go to the restaurant where they have glowing ice-cubes  (Prime Time?) Has anyone used the VKL vouchers here?
Thanks
Alison

I tried for 2 hours yesterday to get vouchers - Hotwire told me they were "discontinued" - tried dealpass.com - they had me join connections.com only to find out that they too received a memo stopping the sale of all vouchers on 1/2/05 - i need 6 casual, 6 vkl and 5 adult 1 child breakfast - any suggestions?

Hotwire Saving Club, Connections & Simple Escapes are all run by the same company: Memberworks. So, it's not surprising that if one is out of vouchers, the others are out as well.

You might want to check the DISAuctions to see if there are any listed. Another option is eBay. And there is the possibility that Memberworks will get some sort of dining voucher in to replace the previous vouchers. It has been posted that they should have the new MYW tickets next week.

I can't remember where I read it, but it seems like there won't be any new vouchers because the new MWY dining is encoded on the room key.

Still hoping that there may some type of voucher good for our Oct. trip. We did very well with the vouchers in Dec.

I've about some kind of voucher but can't remember what the details are. Check the US/IOA board.

I just signed up for a trial membership in Simple Escapes (only 7 days) It’s a program similar to Hotwire Savings Club. They are still selling Disney Meal Vouchers there if anyone is interested.

Keep in mind that if Simple Escapes has vouchers they expire May 05.

I can't seem to get into their website without any member id, and there isn't a place to sign up for an id. When I did a search for them, a lot of complanits from ripoff.com came up and others. There was a lot of , "they charged my card for unautherized purchases, etc. Has anyone delt with this company before?

Simple Escapes is run by the same company as Hotwire Savings Club and Connections. They can be great if you don't have any problems. The difficulty lies in their poor customer service when problems arise. Most of their CS Reps. are poorly informed and there is no way to speak to a supervisor.

I have dealt with Simple Escapes and had no problems with anything I ordered. I just recently cancelled my membership. It took a bit of patience to listen to the hard-sell that the CS Rep. was trained to give but in the end, he cancelled the membership.

Hello , We have used them on every trip we go down on ....We especialy recomend using the quick & casual at Beaches & Cream....Def. a big money saver if used wisely....

If Simple Escapes is owned by Hotwire savings Club and Connections how can they have vouchers if the others don't? It could be that they have not updated their site to show the vouchers are gone.
