Okay, please share what meals you've had at Beaches and Creams and Pepper Market for Q&C (dollar v. cost/savings, also was it hard to get into Beaches and Creams?)

Lastly, VKL for lunch are they a good deal at RFC? Can two adults use one VKL and ask to split meal (I've eaten there in the past and portions can be large). What about VKL at Boardwalk locations (ESPN or Brewing Co. - couldn't recall if these were listed on first part of post), anyone eat there and did use split meal with one other adult only using one VKL voucher?

we used the VKL vouchers at the AK Rainforest Cafe last week. We had 5 people (2 Adults and 3 kids). We used a child voucher and an adult voucher...had MORE than enough food! I would think that 2 adults could share off one voucher.

we had:
1 specialty icee drink (kids)
1 diet coke

chicken caribe
fried cheese

ribs/shrimp/steak combo
lobster tail/steak combo

volcano dessert

our server was very knowledgeable. ::yes::

Am I right to assume that if you use a child's VKL voucher at RFC you are able to order from the regular menu, not only the children's menu? My dd is only 2, but I was thinking of ordering 1 adult VKL and 1 child VKL and splitting the food between DH, myself and DD. Would love to split 1 adult VKL between DH and I, but he likes his meat as rare as can be....and I like mine on the well-done side  Has anyone had any trouble ordering form the adult menu with a child's VKL voucher?

I think I am going to order:
2 adult breakfast vouchers for Crystal Palace
2 Q/C vouchers for Beaches & Creme
1 adult VKL for RFC
1 child VKL for RFC

Do you think these are good options for using the vouchers?

Thanks so much!!

Thanks so much!!

our server said we could order whatever we wanted, off either menu, for the kids. the 2 vouchers would be more than enough, I'm sure!

I purchased (8) of the Premium Vouchers for our trip last June. The only place I found that they were of significant value was at Le Cellier in Canada (Epcot). Not worth the hassle to me. It was a hassle to cancel the Connections Account.

Hi Caribear (and everyone else) :wave2:
My Fiancé & I dined at all 3 of your choices (and a few others) and thought they were well worth it. Our bills looked something like this:

Crystal Palace
16.99 Buffet
1.10 Tax
2.71 15% tip
= 20.80 vs 18.25 (voucher price includes tax & tip)
saved $2.55 per person
**Buffet also included a smoothie to go which was valued at about 3.00 extra

Beaches & Cream
2.59 Lime Rickey (Cherry/lime soda)
8.99 Double burger
.40 Add Cheese
1.99 Substitute Fries with Onion Rings
7.99 Banana Split
1.43 Tax
3.51 15% tip
= $26.90 vs. 11.50 voucher
Saved $15.40 per person
**way to much food, should have shared! Couldn't finish our burgers or desserts.

Rainforest Cafe
3.75 Frozen Raspberry Lemonade
8.99 Buffalo Wings
25.99 Ribs/Steak & Shrimp Combo (dinner special)
6.99 Bananas Foster
2.97 Tax
7.30 15% Tip
= $55.99 vs $31.00 voucher
Saved $24.99
**Fiancé & I shared & just added a soda. Not only were we not charged for the soda but our server upgraded our steak from 8oz to 12 oz further saving us money! I'm sure in the end we saved an additional $10 which we added to the tip!!

For anyone curious, we also used vouchers at Flametree BBQ, Cinderella's Royal Table (lunch) & Sci-Fi. We broke even at Sci-Fi, saved about 3 bucks at Flametree and $10 at CRT only because we had a great waitress who gave us a few extra's.

Any questions, just ask!

After 49 pages of reading every single post......

I HAVE NO CLUE WHAT I'M GOING TO DO!

I'm more undecided than I was 48 pages ago. My eyes are practically popping out of my head....and dry as heck. I think I'm going to need to go hunt down the eyedrops after this post!

We're a family of 4. DH, myself, 5YODD and 3YODD. We'll be visiting WDW for 5 days in early Dec 04, staying offsite. We're 'average' eaters...not big eaters, not birds.

I'm thinking.....I will probably at least get a voucher to use at RFC. That's the only on-site place that people time and again are raving about the savings, right? -- My concern....I'm afraid my kids would want to order off of the kids menus in which case the voucher wouldn't be worth it for them.....

Uggg....I don't know what I think anymore. :(

Thanks for the info madge!

Dizneyholic - Thanks so much for posting the price comparisons from CP, B & C and RFC!! I really appreciate the info! Looks like you were able to save a lot at RFC and B & C. I am going to make sure we skip lunch on the day we do RFC...I was thinking of an early dinner around 4:30pm. Same with Beaches & Cream in order to avoid the busy lunch/dinner rush. Thanks again :p

Thnnks for all the info. In spite of the numerous P.S's we made, or maybe because of them,, I decided to just order the breakfast vouchers for CRT and 2 Planet HOllywood gift certificates. Don't think we'd get the most bang for the buck on the other vouchers. They came in 3 days! Very good service!

I'm pretty sure I read something about this in here, but there are so many pages now!

Can you use these shopping cards when online? Like if I order from ToysRUs.com, can I use them to pay when I check out?

Thanks!!

I just learned the hard way that the gift cards for TRU cannot be used online. If anyone knows a way around this, please share.

My DS is 10, for the Breakfast Voucher, what is the age limit. Will he need a child or an adult?

TIA,

Lori

Your can order a child voucher for him even though the voucher says ages 3-9. WDW restaurants allow child meals/vouchers ages 3-11.

At the RFC my DD(8) ate the chicken fingers which was the appetizer from my meal...she real liked them and has already planned on eating them again this year (in 5 days). If your kids like Chicken fingers then don't order them off the kids menu. Just order them as appets. And You will mostly likely find that if the 4 of you, use 2Q&C vouchers there will be plenty of food for all of you. Me and DD ALWAYS split the meals everywhere around WDW and always had enough to eat....worst case you MIGHT need an extra side dish of fries or something.

I'm looking at ordering these for our character breakfasts, and will be ordering many since we're a large group. Is there a maximum number that can be ordered? I think I'll join through Hotwire. I need 27 adult & 13 children vouchers. Will I be able to order this many?

Also, I'm a little concerned about losing these once I've purchased them. Does anyone know if they're like park tickets in that they can be replaced by Disney as long as you've made a copy or written down the serial number?

I believe you are allowed to order up to 40 of each voucher so you should be fine with the quantities you need to order.

I have no idea about whether or not they can be replaced if lost or stolen. I looked at the vouchers I have and they say they can't be refunded but nothing about replacement.

I WOULD THINK IF YOU LOSE THEM - you lost them

How can DISNEY void the ones you lost

You can always ask- but I treat mine like cash

Nope, they can't be replaced. I lost over $200 worth a year or so ago (still don't know where they went) and confronted this issue. I actually cried (felt better after a few days at WDW).

So hang onto your vouchers tight!

Took

New Question here:
Do you need to tell the server up front that you are using a breakfast voucher or do you just give it to them when the bill comes. We are using them at CRT and CP-- looks like a good value given the recent price increase.
