Everything You Ever Wanted to Know About Meal Vouchers

imo it wouldn't be worth it since you would only spend about 25 plus tax and tip, you might spend over the voucher price if they let you get the shake( think the new ones do not exclude frozen drinks, just alcoholic...)in place of a drink rather than as the dessert where they are listed. since those are single person items i do think you would be able to use them...usually if it says for 2 or more ( like the rfc volcano)you need ot have more than 1 voulcher to get it.

we usually found the meal was not worth using a voucher for if the entree was $15 or less. a few of the appes were enough to make up the difference but as a rule of thumb. those places we just paid cash since why bother wasting a voucher.

Just got back from an 8 day trip at WDW. We used the Q&C vouchers almost everyday. We received an average of 15$ of food for the vouchers. Will post a list of food items, prices, and places used once im finished unpacking.

We went to Beaches and Cream Saturday night and were told by 2 different CM's that they no longer allow the shake as a Drink. Was told it was effective on July 1.

Does anyone else have a simlar experience?

We were told you could get shakes BUT it would count as dessert with the Q&C's at Beaches and Cream.

Would someone who is a member of Hotwire mind posting the prices of the individual vouchers? You can't get to that part of their website without being a member and I'd like to know how much they are before I get the free trial membership. It would be greatly appreciated ::yes:: !!!

Quick and Casual Lunch or Dinner Certificates $11.50 each.

Adult Lunch Certificates $31.00 each.
~Child (ages 3-9) Lunch Certificates $12.75 each.

Adult Breakfast Certificates $18.25 each.
~Child (ages 3-9) Breakfast Certificates $11.00 each.

Just got back from 8 days at the AKL

Used the Q&C vochures at the MARA & got about $17.00 worth per. 1 time the CM gave me a salad to boot & the total would have been $23

They are nice to have - but you have to want the drink & desert to make it worth it.

With kids - it was EZ.

I will be with my wife and godfather for only 1 day in Disney. I'd like to take us to Rain Forest cafe for lunch. Does anyone have 3 vouchers they can sell me. I leave Baltimore on Thursday the 13th of Oct. Any help would be appreciated. The Rain Forest seems to be the best bang for the buck to me.

You would probably only need two at the most as your wife can share with you. I lucked out and hit an ebay auction at just the right time and got two of them for $65 incl. shipping.

Decided after reading way too much of this thread :yo-yo: to buy 4 Q/C vouchers and 2 each kid and adult breakfast ones. DD8 and I will be at CSR for 4 days, so I figure that will cover enough for us to save but not feel pressured to eat any particular place if we feel like spending more or less. Anybody have thoughts on that?

Sorry...your post only showed three people. You will still get a ton of food w/two vouchers.

You have time to take advantage of the 30-day free trial w/Hotwire Savings Club and get the vouchers before you leave. Most people report they have received their order within 2 to 3 days. I believe they also give you the option of express shipping at a slightly higher cost (but even that will be less then trying to purchase from ebay w/your trip so close).

Good Luck !

Would anyone like to share how you used Q&C vouchers at the food court at POR? Specifically, what you ordered?

I think the vouchers are a great deal, but it sounds like alot of desserts and drinks. Is it still worth it if we don't plan on getting appetizers, desserts, or sodas?

Probably not, but that's part of the fun. We always order water to drink in restaurants and never have the extras to keep down costs. Using the vouchers, we probably spent more than we would have if we had just purchased the minimum meals necessary, but the kids thought it a big treat to have drinks and desserts.

We usually split two vouchers between the six of us. (The two little ones are picky eaters and don't eat much, so we brought a few extra food items for them in our backpack.) A few times we might have ordered a bit more if ordering separately, but other times we actually had a bit of food left and everybody was well satisfied. A couple of times we used three Q&C vouchers and had a lot left over to carry back to the room.

Thank you Sheila! We'll have 6 also...Samantha is too little....

Am I correct in that your family of 6 used 2 vouchers, split the meals and you had plenty?

Yes. That's right. Myself, DH, DD18, DS16, DS10 and DS5. The two teens are big eaters. My husband and I are moderate eaters. We could finish off a meal alone but would prefer to share. The two smaller ones mostly eat the fries and maybe a bit of the dessert. We bring along carrots, fruit bowls and the like to supplement for them.

The Pepper Market is our very favorite. There are lots of selections so it's easy to please everyone.

What do you guys say when asking about sides on the Q&C? I don't want these to make our vacation a headache worrying the whole time, but would love to be able to get dessert or something as normally we would not purchase that. How many should we buy for a family of 3 (2 adults and 1 DS age 4) for a week?

I bought 5 Q & C vouchers for us to try on our trip to Disney. It's me, DH, and DS (age 8). I find Disney portions to be big - so we share our meals. I also get a bit frustrated that Disney serves pretty much fries or carrots with their kids meals. I like DS to eat a few more veggies, so he's not so cranky from eating a bunch of junk. That said, here's my plan. We're staying at the Coronado Springs. So I'm planning on using 2 Q & C vouchers at the Pepper Market for dinner. We'll split the meals between the 3 of us. Then, we're moving to the Boardwalk. I'm planning on using 2 Q & C vouchers at the Tangerine Cafe at Epcot (tho. I may check out the food at Japan for one of the vouchers). The final voucher I'm hoping to use at Beaches and Cream. We'll just order a kids meal there in addition to the 1 Q & C voucher meal to split.

It will be our first trip using vouchers. I don't want to stress out too much about using them. We're not planning to go to any character breakfasts. If we were, I would buy the Breakfast vouchers since they are a good deal. I did consider buying one VKL voucher - but we normally don't eat a big sit down lunch, so I'm going to pass.

I would suggest you check out the menus so you have an idea ahead of time where you might like to eat.
