And if so, are they transferable?

Thanks, all!

You can only use them @ WDW. I've never seen any vouchers for use @ Disneyland. Anyone else?

I wanted to thank you all. I just ordered the Q and C vouchers - what a price, what a deal!

Thanks!

Can anyone let me know how good of a deal these things really are?? I mean what does your average meal cost for one of the different meal types (not the most EXPENSIVE meal you can get for that type, but the average). I'm just wondering how good a deal these things are and how often I should be using them.

I spent many many days traveling solo at WDW from January to May this year. I found the vouchers to be a great money saver at Mara, Tusker House, Beaches and Cream, and Flame tree BBQ. Others were a push. One thing I did not expect was my attitude about the vouchers at the end of May...No kidding, I was so sick of trying to determine whether or not I was saving money and by letting that concern determine what I would eat that day that I was happy to go home...In fact, I even gave away my last voucher to a good Samaratin at POR because I simply couldn't face the poor choice of food at the court there. Other than the eventual mental strain, I think the vouchers were a good deal but they were a lot of work.

Hey videogal, thx for your post. That's exactly what i was thinking would happen to me if i use vouchers. While i'm a big fan of saving money :) i don't want it to overshadow my totally magical carefree time with my family as i ponder the pros and cons of each meal. I think we'll plan and budget and save as much as possible every other way, but may forgo the vouchers....

Plus, for being in the parks only three days with our best meals being Sci-fi and Prime-time type places, do you think they'd be worth it?

Hi, I just wanted to let everyone know the vouchers I had worked great, we had no problems and it did save money!!!! We are not very fancy eaters, and most of the time didn't expect to have huge fancy meals, so there was not much wondering or getting stressed over what to order like some of the postings I have read.

princess: We had breakfast with Cinderella at the Royal Table or Round Table what ever it is called, and it was GREAT!!! My children, Heather age 6, and Jordan age 2 1/2 loved it! For my husband, myself, and my daughter our bill came to $63.75 (my son was free because he is under 3). I used three breakfast feature vouchers I bought on ebay and saved money!!! Mind you, the $63.75 didn't include the tip!!! Thank god for the voucher, we would have had to pay $70.00 for breakfast! The amount of food was amazing and left us pretty full for the rest of the day! The princesses came right to our table and were all very nice, and my daughter had a smile the whole time!! It sure beat waiting on line in the heat to get a picture, but we never enven saw any of the princesses outside the breakfast, other than in the parade.

We stayed at Disney Old Key West and wanted to eat at Olivia's cafe, but didn't have a dinner voucher for there. So, I went to Goods to Go, a little snacky type stand they had next to Olivia's and ordered dinner for my kids using a Youth Market lunch/dinner voucher. I got...
nachos with cheese $3.35
rice krispie treat dipped in chocolate $2.69
Chicken strips that came with french fries $8.59
regular coke $1.89
TOTAL with TAX $17.64 SAVINGS OF $6.64
 That was a lot of food for one voucher, that cost me $11.00 my kids and I ate that, and we sat in Olivia's Cafe where my husband ordered dinner, and paid $31.00 for his food alone!!!!! The portion was not big at all, and he said the food didn't taste they way something so expensive should. All he got was a steak, about 3 inches by 5 inches, a baked potatoe, grilled zuchinni, and one small roll, along with two cokes! I would not recommend Olivia's cafe to anyone, I would recommend using the vouchers and eating at Goods to Go!

We also ate at Sunshine Season Food in Epicot, using two youth market, lunch/dinner vouchers. We got...
1 Chicken sandwich and french fries $6.59
1 Chicken strips and french fries $6.49
Fruit Cobbler $2.49
Turtle Brownie $1.99
2 large cokes $4.58
TOTAL WITH TAX $23.58 SAVINGS OF 1.58
Here they didn't let me order the extra side, they told me that was what the french fries were, I thought they were included as the sign said, but different places seem to accept them differently.

Then at Animal Kingdom we ate at Pizzafari and saved by far the most and got the most food for the youth market lunch/dinner vouchers. (we used two)The man who took our order was very helpful and let us get ALOT of food, so much that we actually could have used one voucher and had plenty!! We got...
2 cheese pizza's (each has four slices) $10.98
2 orders of breadsticks $7.98
1 dessert pizza $2.79
1 frozen lemonade $2.79
2 large cokes $4.58
TOTAL WITH TAX $31.02 SAVINGS $11.02 :hyper: :hyper:
the cost of another voucher!!!!!!!!!!!

Lastly we used two youth market lunch/dinner vouchers at Backlot Express in MGM. We ordered...
1 Chocolate mousse $3.29
1 Chicken strip with fries $6.49
1 turkey sandwich with fries $6.49
2 Large cokes $4.58
1 chocolate cake $3.29
TOTAL WITH TAX $ 25.69 SAVINGS OF $3.69:teeth:

All in all we did save, yes we ate alot of chicken, but that is what my kids like! ;) I was glad we had them not only because of saving money, but it also made us have to carry less, staying in a disney hotel, basicly all we needed to carry were the vouchers, you can order/purchase gifts, anything there with your key card, which looks like a credit card, and the vouchers are the same as cash, so it was nice not to have to carry any and worry about it being stolen! or loosing it!!!!!!!

I recommend voucher to everyone, I just made sure when it was time to order, I showed them the voucher and asked what we could get.

princess: Loved it, going back again, in a few years! My son was a little to young for some rides and got upset. He cried for 10 minutes because he couldn't go on tower of terror like his dad and sister, a worker in the room you wait in for the people on the ride to come off, came over and took my son and I on the workers service elevator and pretended it was the ride so he would be happy. It was really nice, and best of all it worked, he thinks he rode the big ride!!!:wave2:

I was wondering---nikkimax--

What is a youth market lunch/dinner voucher?
Is it a Q & C voucher or a Vacation Kingdom lunch voucher? Or
is there another voucher for kids? Where do you purchase and how much are they if it is different from the Q & C?

Sorry if I missed it elsewhere in this thread. Thanks in advance.

I am a member of hotwire the website says Kids Breakfast vouchers are $11 for kids age 3-9 ( I have a DD 10 and DS 8) but aren't kids meal prices to age 11 ??? I figured 8.99 plus 7% tax and 15% tip was going to be really close to $22 so why not just get the voucher but want to make sure that my DD who is 10 can use it .. Thanks Michelle

The youth market lunch/dinner voucher is the same as a quick and casual voucher. I purchased them from ebay and they were listed as quick and casual vouchers, then when I got them and saw what was written on them I paniced! I found out from Disney that they are vouchers that more than likely were handed out or sold to a group visiting disney and were the same as Q & C. They work the same way and cost the same as the Q & C. Vacation Kingdom lunch vouchers, of which I only had one, seem a little more confusing to use. We tried to use one at 4:00 in Olivia's Cafe and they wouldn't accept it because they said it can ONLY be used for lunch! But I still say the vouchers save alot and make things easier!

I purchased mine from Ebay and I know some people sell them for alot on there, but if you watch you can get some at the same if not for less!

Hope this helped, I know as many questions as I asked, the answers really came when I used them this past August.

If possible, try the character dining, but try to get the feature vouchers, I purchased mine, yet again, from Ebay.

I didn't see this question anywhere in the thread -- has anyone used a voucher at CRT for lunch?

What we're wondering is if dh and I can split the 14 oz steak, and if he gets a Coke w/his meal, can he order the Bibbidi Bobbidi Brew Orange smoothie thing as his dessert, even though it's listed as a "beverage"? I'd order my beverage and smoothie separate and pay cash for them ....

We used VKL and Q&C vouchers last March that I purchsed through HowWire. Our computer crashed I I lost all my saved favorites and now a neighbor is asking about buying those wonderful meal vouchers and I want to be able to give her good info but life is a mess right now and I thought I woudl just ask someone who has the current info to give me the low down.

Has anyone had any recent problems with joining and then canceling memebership to wither hotwire or connections(I think)?

What are the prices for Q & C's and VKL's right now?

Can you link me to a place that will show was restaurants for which they are valid?

Can you get Circ 'd Souile( LOL SP?) tickets also and if so how much?

I just don't want to refer someone one and then have them have problems! Thank you in advance!

the first couple posts on this thread are updated with the info for the present vouchers

Jann, Thanks for the information. I was in a hurry and did not notice the updates! I only saw the 2/2002 date of the post and knew things had changed since then.

Thank you again and thaks to those who updated the information! :Pinkbounc

Has anyone had a recent problem with Hotwire and their billing? I have been a member of their savings club for over two years and have had no problem until this month. They have cancelled my membership saying that my cc was declined for the $7.95 membership fee on August 30. My cc company says it never declined anything! In fact, they say there was never any attempt to charge the account this month from Hotwire and that if the attempt had been made it would have gone through.

My phone calls are met with a solid wall of resistance (not rude, just unmoving) and I cannot seem to be able to have my membership reinstated or even to rejoin. Are they trying to rid themselves of us monthly payers? The phone system at Hotwire suggests I go to DealPass.com and take out a membership there. However, I will not join Connections/DealPass because of the annual fee that is automatically billed at whatever rate they wish it to be. I have been there and done that with Connections in the past!

Has anyone had a similar occurence and been able to join Lillian Vernon's version of this? We really have enjoyed using these vouchers for the past few years and have enjoyed the savings they have offered.

Thanks in advance for any info!

Lillian Vernon version? I haven't heard of this - can someone tell me more?

I used one voucher at CRT for lunch in July. Mum and I shared our meal. A fishy starter, the apricot BBQ chicken which was amazing and the fantasyland sundae. We got the smoothie but the waiter apologised and said we wouldn't get to keep the glass which was fine by us. I also had a coke but when I tried to pay for it he wouldn't let me - I just left it as an extra tip.
Plenty food for the both of us.

Sorcha -- If you read the third post on page one of this thread it will tell you all the places you can join that allow you to purchase vouchers and reduced price hoppers as well as other savings. Lillian Vernon is one that is listed there.

hope that helps:wave:

Jann1033 --

I don't know the answer to your question since I don't wish to have a DealPass subscription. But I thought if I posted it would bump it up for someone else to respond :)
