Everything Virtual Queue - Please Read Post 1

Also, a CM said if I got a VQ at 1 pm, I would have had to finish riding the first VQ to get another VQ at 6 pm (only issued for the extended evening hours 9-11 pm). I’m still not sure if he was correct as the 1 pm is issued until regular park close and the 6 pm is issued only for extended hours so they don’t conflict. We did ride our VQ in the afternoon, but just something to consider.

If you had a VQ (ride anytime after it’s called) and LLIA (say for same time) I think you can just ride it twice (be careful not to scan your band twice - our son’s RS got removed when he did).
That’s interesting. Anyone have any experience holding both a late from 1pm and a VQ for after hours?

I think it depends on the lines but it may have been a bit faster because I think with sider swap you get to use the LL that pretty much dumps into the pre-show.
So better for VQ, thank you
Oh sorry I miss-read I thought you both had VQ 🙃🙃🙃🙃
Good to know difference because I hope we can do both next time, try rider swap when redeeming VQ sounds like good plan.

Is it still allowed to go hours after return time? Call back time is like 11:30am but we won’t even be in the park till 3 or 4.
It's a bit nerve-racking because you get a message that your boarding group window has expired and that's what shows up on your phone from that point till you actually use it. I had boarding group 90 something yesterday with estimated return time of 5:30. We took the skyline to HS just before 2 and our group got called while we were on it. We did TOT which had been down on our HS day, then returned to Epcot where I saw the expired boarding group window message. I had my screenshot ready to show the 5:30 estimated time, but we had no trouble tapping in. That "your boarding window has expired" message is an unnecessary stressor that they should get rid of. I'm sure I'm not the only one who panicked a bit when seeing it. I must have missed it here if others mentioned it, so just giving a heads up that it doesn't actually mean you can't board.

Sorry you were stressed, glad it worked out. In the first post it says to date no one has reported being turned away for being late for VQ.

I had read all that but hadn't seen any reference to the "your boarding window has expired" message. I figured with my luck they had changed the policy that day :-)

Quick question: If I have a park reservation for Epcot and get a boarding group at the 7am drop but then decide to change my park reservation to another park prior to tapping into Epcot, will my VQ be cancelled automatically or would I need to manually cancel? Or is there even an option to cancel a VQ? This will be our first trip using Genie as well as using VQ. Thanks!

I thought the 6 pm was only for after hours but last week our 6pm VQ was called back about 8:00 pm, before close.

They don’t want to widely advertise that VQ return times are not enforced
they like that most return during their window for crowd level controls
it’s one of the hidden benefits for those in the know

Wow. I asked 2 different CMs and they said the 6pm was for extended evening hours only (which is apparently not correct according to your experience

Edit: it does make a lot of sense as you either have to have park passes for Epcot or hopper both of which allow you to enter before the EETPH start.

You have to be eligible for extended hours to join, but the call backs typically starts before 9pm based on how the ride is doing with the daytime groups.

Our 6pm BG 188 was not called until shortly after 10 pm (extended hours were 9-11 pm). It took about 50 mins to ride.

We did ride our am BG 70 (called around 1 pm) around 2:30 pm (ride broke down earlier in the day so the line was 45 mins)

The ride was running behind then that day (likely had some amount of downtime earlier i the day). We had a low 200s group this past Monday and we’re called back around 8:40pm.

That’s good to know in the future as we didn’t plan on going back into the park (was extremely crowded and even Nemo had a 45+ min wait) until the deluxe extended hours started. It was a sold out day (1/2).

My only experience was from the 7am and the 6pm
I have gotten a 6pm spot while still holding an unused 7am BG. Worked
I went back to add that, but apparently it was already in the first post.

“You may only hold one BG at either 7am or 1pm. However, you can have one of those BG AND at EEH BG!”
