Everything Virtual Queue - Please Read Post 1

There are 3 people in our party. My daughter wants to definitely go on GOG and I am going to buy her a LL. If I buy her one, can the 3 of still try to join the VQ at 7am or 1pm? Will she still be eligible to join? Also, we are not sure when we are arriving at the park. If I get her an early LL for GOG at 10am and we don't arrive until noon, can she still use it? Are the wait times comparable for VQ and LL or are they the same line? Thanks for any info. We will be going to EP on a Wednesday next week.
Are you staying at a deluxe resort? Epcot has extended evenings usually on Mon (9-11 pm) and MK on Wed. You can get a VQ at 6 pm for GOTG (I don’t think Tiana has a 6 pm VQ as it’s closed during extended evenings)

So with a LLSP you can be potentially ride GOTG 3 times:

1. VQ (7 am or 1 pm)
2. LLSP
3. VQ at 6 pm (use during extended evenings-deluxe guests only)

VQ end time is flexible; LLSP is less flexible and I would try to ride it within the hour given (you can enter 5 mins before and upto 15 mins after) unless you have a conflicting ADR (CM discretion).

Also don’t forget LLPP if you really want to shell out some $$$. That would get you a 4th ride.

Are Gaurdians and Tiana still only virtual queue? They are not on the list to pick if you purchase the 3 LL for the day?

They are VQ or LL only. Tiana is available with Multi Pass while Guardians is a single pass ride.
SO if we purchase the LLMP we can try and get Tiana and then also try and get a VQ for it too? GOTG we can purchase a LLSP and also still try and get a VQ for it as well? Thanks for answering I appreciate it. Do you also know where I can find the LLMP list so I can see what things fall under what tiers so I can plan?

Yes, you can have both a VQ and LL for the same ride for TIana and Guardians if you want to ride twice.

There is a list under “Attractions & Experiences” at https://disneyworld.disney.go.com/lightning-lane-passes/#drawer-card-drawerMagicKingdomPark

Haven't had to deal with a virtual queue in 2 years. Have a 4.5 year old that will be doing GoG and Tiana's. I know that wait time in the queue can vary from walk on to and hour.

This might not be relevant at all but, is there a better time to enter the queue during your boarding group to minimize wait time (beginning or end of return time) or do you see no difference.

I’m not sure that there is better time as new VQ’s start every 5 mins. I will say the earlier in the day tends to be better than later but even that can vary.

WOW every 5 minutes for an hour window. That makes it so 20 boarding groups could literally walk in at the same time (not that that would actually happen). I did not know they were every 5 minutes so that really answers my question lol. Thanks!

Same with LLMP and LLSP. Spreads people out more evenly so that there's not a huge influx every x number of minutes. It spreads guests out.

60/5=12. I don't think boarding groups are called every five minutes like lightning lanes. I believe the number of groups called per hour fluctuates depending on operating conditions for the rides that day, but 12 is around the hourly average. The important thing is that the beginning of your return hour will be toward the end of someone else's and in the middle of other someone else's, except at he beginning and end of the day.

Thanks! Brain blip - I forgot VQ was not an assigned return time but rather fluctuates based on number of guests in line. thanks for clarifying!

I will say I just looked now and they have averaged about 14 VQ's an hour today. First groups were called at 8:51 and 6 hours later they are up to group 88 = 14.6 groups per hour - today. Which is, higher than average. The norm is approx 12 groups per hour.

Wow. Tiana and GOTG still available at 12:02 pm est.

When we went during Christmas week our BG was called 30 mins before park opening. So be prepared to get ready quickly and be at the gates. Another time we got an early BG and I cancelled and rebooked (no one wanted to get up early) and got BG 86 (post Christmas) but it was a risk during that busy week (we weren’t park hopping that day so could have tried again at 1 pm and had experienced the ride earlier).

Couldn’t get to MK yesterday until about two hours after our time was called for Tiana’s and had no problem getting on. Scanned in, it turned blue and the cast member pushed the magic button to turn it green. ☺️
Great news!! Thank you for adding a data point. It’s always helpful to hear guest’s recent experiences!
