Everything Virtual Queue - Please Read Post 1

I’m guessing Guardians will go to LLMP as more people will choose to purchase LLMP for Epcot now and they will make more $ selling LLMP than they do LLSP.

Today’s LLMP for Epcot is $24 and Guardians LLSP is $19. Each one purchased is now $5 in their pockets.

I will say this one weighs heavily in favour of onsite guests now.

Just noticed that the wording on the Disney website has changed. Guardians will remain an LLSP ride after Feb. 25th.
Can you please provide a link to the Disney website? I'm trying to find it to link to another thread. Thanks

I can find the data that VQs are ending but cannot find the information about Guardians being either LLMP or LLSP.

Surely that has to be a mistake. They're not going to give up that $$$.
My guess is that EPCOT LLMP are not selling well so this would be a HUGE plus for them money wise .... but it will also make the LL much longer than it is now. I had no issue paying for ILL but would have never bought LLMP at EPCOT.

Okay now I am seeing a difference version of the Guardians change ...... where it stays ILL ?????

I think Disney wants one LLSP in each park so won’t be moving Guardians to LLMP.

Either way, this is great news as long as a standby option is available. Those of us that know how the system works are already excited about late night inflated wait times, short actual waits and multiple rerides on the Guardians.

Overall I think this will be really good for everyone and will ease the long lines for other rides (looking at you frozen, Remy, and soarin’). However, I can’t for the life of me understand why on earth they decided to go live with this change a week out from the announcement when people have already made lighting lane choices. Why not make the go live 3 weeks out when everyone can properly plan their lightning lanes and rope drop strategy to best work with no longer having the virtual queues? Seems silly and extremely unthoughtful of Disney Parks and IT.

I'm not really sure it would make much of a difference since neither attraction is changing it's LLMP options.
Tiana was already an LLMP so those who wished to use it already had an opportunity to try.

Guardians is moving from VQ to standby. LLSP for it is staying the same.

Possibly I'm not understanding what changes it would make to how a person would plan their day?

Those who head right to Tiana or Guardians at rope drop would likely still have time to head to their first LL, even if they booked the earliest available time of the day.

For Tiana’s - many people haven’t been using a LLMP on it because they’ll take their chances with landing one of the two virtual queues.

For guardians - if you didn’t buy a LLSP, then this could completely change your rope drop plans and previously selected early morning lightning lanes. You’d likely need to decide between hitting this first at early entry rope drop (which still may be a 45+ minute wait if you’re towards the back of the early entry crowd) or you’ll need to plan to wait 2+ hours at another point throughout the day.

I'm going to Epcot the day Guardians drops the VQ and I'm cautiously optimistic that my day thete with little kids will go better since the families with bigger kids/adults only will gravitate towards guardians first thing in the morning, freeing up every other ride just a bit. To your point, this doesn't change any of my "reservations" but it will impact my plans hopefully positively.

Now on the other hand if I was planning on going on guardians and had already paid for a single pass and now I realize I could have rope dropped it because I was 26 and going with my girlfriend, well I guess that would be a bummer, slightly.

I agree although I don’t have a trip booked that will be impacted. I would have skipped buying LLSP thinking I have a shot with the VQ instead. It starts to add up when you have a family of 5 booking for 7 days ($1400-2000+).

I agree with the comment above as well. We wouldn’t rope drop Frozen/Remy but staying at a Skyliner resort would have planned to rope drop GOTG instead of say booking a LLSP for Tron or ROTR in the morning at HS (or MK for instance).

Exactly.

We arrive on Monday the 24th but don’t hit Epcot until the 26th. Luckily we had already purchased a single pass for GOTG, so it’ll actually really help us in this instance, but I’m sure it completely screwed other people’s plans.

As a VQ veteran, as most Disney vets are, this hampers our plans. But, can see where it would lower other rope drop lines.

Thoughts on international gateway entrance???
