It happened to my account couple months ago. I could not log in at all to
Castaway Club, and I called
DCL IT to fix it. They said I had several accounts under my email (Club Penguin, Disney Movie Rewards, etc.) So they "fixed" it for me, and I could finally log in to CC account. But then I found out that once I logged in to
MDE account, everything was gone. I called IT and they had to send an invite from my one account (under the same email) to the other account so I could at least see my reservations (although I could not manage them). IT said it was going to take them some time to merge both accounts. After that phone call I actually ended up going myself to the main disney.go website and I inactivated all accounts except one with exact spelling of my name as on my CC account, and I made sure my name was spelled te same on MDE account. That finally worked, and I could log in to the correct MDE account. I still have my name twice on MDE (as a main person with avatar, and "a friend" invited by IT without avatar from my other account). I am afraid to remove my duplicate name...
