EVERYONE remembers their "FIRST TIME"TR by Timandlesley 11/27 Day5 pg.18

Hi Lesley

I am so excited to have another TimandLesley TR to read!!! BLT looks beautiful....ahhh maybe someday for us!!!

Can't wait for morepopcorn::

Day 2 of our Fall Adventure of Firsts:
So, we were awoken (early, I had a wakeup call for 7:30) by the most BEAUTIFUL sunrise:
103_4691640x480.jpg

We were ready to head to Hollywood studio’s on this morning, but first we needed to head down to the Contempo Café for some breakfast:
103_4694640x480.jpg

They have nice computer kiosks where you put your order in, print the receipt, pay for it (they give you a buzzer) and then you go and get your food. Here is Luke at the kiosk:
103_4695640x480.jpg

We found a seat and before we knew it our buzzer went off. Tim and I went to gather the food and apparently Luke picked up the camera and took these pictures of Lauren :
103_4699640x480.jpg

103_4700640x480.jpg

Breakfast was good. With our bellies full we headed down to the bus stop:
103_4703640x480.jpg

The bus came RIGHT away . I was so excited because we pulled up to Hollywood studios at 8:45 and we were there for rope drop. Well, as we approached I noticed, IT WAS EARLY MAGIC HOURS. I don’t know how in the world I screwed this up, I always intentionally avoid EMH and I was bummed because I worried about lines, etc. but it really wasn’t too bad.
103_4705640x480.jpg

We headed over to Toy Story Mania to get Fast Passes:
103_4706640x480.jpg

That poor CM in that photo, she would NOT be happy if she knew that photo of her backside was out there, oh well : )
Then I was on a mission for Lauren’s first ride on Rockin’ Roller Coaster, so we headed over there:
103_4707640x480.jpg

My excited/brave girl ready for the thrill of her life:
103_4708640x480.jpg

We literally WALKED on the ride:
103_4709640x480.jpg

Lauren and I rode together and we waited for the front car, not only for the experience but I figured she is so little if we weren’t in the front she wouldn’t be able to see anything. She LOVED the ride. Here is our ride photo:
103_4711640x480.jpg

Best roller coaster in the parks (in MY opinion) hands down, JUST LOVE IT!
Then we wandered over to Tower of Terror and WALKED on that too!
103_4716640x480.jpg

SERIOUSLY, look at the empty turnstyles= HEAVENLY!!!
103_4718640x480.jpg

Here’s Lauren pretending to be scared (or maybe she really was : )
103_4717640x480.jpg

We had a GREAT ride. Here is that (very blurry) ride photo:
103_4719640x480.jpg

Then we grabbed a spot on a bench and Tim grabbed a popcorn. I was excited to see the popcorn containers even had a Halloween/Fall theme (another first for us, silly I know but it made me smile):
103_4722640x480.jpg

It was nice having those two great rides already under our belt, fast passes in hand for Toy Story and just being able to sit there and relax and enjoy a snack and watch the world go by and enjoy the beautiful morning.
After our snack we headed to the Great Movie Ride (Tim’s favorite):
103_4723640x480.jpg

We enjoyed that as always. When we came out of the ride the High School Musical Show was wrapping up,:
The kids scored some confetti:
103_4726640x480.jpg

After that Lauren wanted to see the Little Mermaid show, something we had skipped this summer. She was excited to see the new Princess Tiana stuff in the store by the show:
103_4727640x480.jpg

Isn’t this dress BEAUTIFUL!?!
103_4728640x480.jpg

As we were standing there about to go into Little Mermaid Jo Jo and Goliath walked by so we went over and were first to see them:
103_4729640x480.jpg

103_4731640x480.jpg

Then we headed in to see Ariel:
103_4733640x480.jpg

It was an o.k. show, I think it’s time to update this one, Prince Eric was looking OLD! Lauren loved it though, so we forged on.
When we came out the High School Musical show was starting again , so we watched that (LOVED watching this without sweat pouring from every pore in my body):
103_4736640x480.jpg

That kid in the orange t shirt was CRACKING me up . He had a headset on like the guys in the show, knew EVERY move and was WAY into the show, too funny!

After that we were still a LITTLE early for our Toy Story Fast Passes so we decided to see Buzz and Woody. We’ve never done this in the summer because the line was so long, we only had to wait about 10 minutes and the line area was fun, lots of photo opps:
103_4739640x480.jpg

103_4740640x480.jpg

103_4741640x480.jpg

103_4742640x480.jpg

103_4743640x480.jpg

103_4745640x480.jpg

That sure did make the line go fast, and before we knew it we were in Andy’s bedroom seeing these awesome guys:
103_4748640x480.jpg

Then we headed over to Toy Story Mania (I LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS RIDE!!!)
103_4750640x480.jpg

103_4751640x480.jpg

Tim and I rode together, we always have a friendly (o.k. maybe NOT so friendly at times) competition going. I ALMOST beat him last year so I was out for blood………… well, it didn’t go so well, he schooled me again (sigh):
103_4753640x480.jpg

After that incredible ride it was almost time for our lunch reservations at Mama Melrose, so we headed over there. The lights were already hung for Osborne lights (SO jealous Tim will get to go and see them this year. I WILL see them someday):
103_4755640x480.jpg

103_4756640x480.jpg

As we were waiting for our table at Mama Melrose Luke found a hidden Mickey on the wall that he was proud of:
103_4759640x480.jpg

We were seated pretty quickly and were all hungry and ready for lunch. Lauren took her coloring seriously:
103_4761640x480.jpg

Food was yummy. The kids got salad and soup for appetizers:
103_4765640x480.jpg

103_4766640x480.jpg

And they brought VERY warm yummy rolls to the table that we devoured:
103_4767640x480.jpg

The kids were being super silly at lunch:
103_4769640x480.jpg

I got the Pasta Alla Vodka (SO SO good) that I always get:
103_4770640x480.jpg

Tim got some sort of pasta/sausage dish that he enjoyed:
103_4771640x480.jpg

The kids got BIG bowls of pasta too:
103_4772640x480.jpg

It took a while in between finishing our meals and waiting for desert, so the kids decided to squish Lauren’s tomatoes and make ketchup:
103_4773640x480.jpg

CRAZY kids : )
103_4775640x480.jpg

Tim and I both had the warm chocolate cake with chocolate “ooze” inside for desert, YUM!
103_4777640x480.jpg

After that we decided to head back to Bay Lake Tower so we could swim. We ran into these AWESOME street performers that we had never seen before, HALARIOUS doesn’t even begin to describe them, I was laughing out loud SO hard I could barely contain myself.
103_4780640x480.jpg

103_4784640x480.jpg

Melvin was hysterical, the kids and I LOVED it!!! (Tim missed it, he was shopping around in the stores)
Afterwards I HAD to get Luke’s picture with them, I love the way they posed:
103_4787640x480.jpg

If you ever see them, STOP and enjoy the show, you will be so glad you did!
We hopped on a bus and before we knew it were back at Bay Lake Tower. I took this pic of the elevator, even they are pretty (see the Mickey’s?)
103_4789640x480.jpg

We headed up to the room, got our suits on and headed down for a swim. They had these really pretty trees in the courtyard area (there is a shuffle board court on one side and then a bocce ball court on the other). I told Tim to pose by the pretty trees and this was the pose he choose: )
103_4790640x480.jpg

Then we headed to the beautiful pool:
103_4791640x480.jpg

Luke loves seeing these signs as much as I do :
103_4792640x480.jpg

I took some pictures of the beautiful pool area. Here is the bar area (there is a mug refill station here, ping pong board, nice tables, REALLY nice restrooms, and towel station here too):
103_4793640x480.jpg

Cool slide (that we ALL went down)
103_4794640x480.jpg

The pool was great, they not only had the big slide, but a small one too that Lauren loved, a zero entry area with water jets, a nice splash area with water jets too, GREAT pool overall!
103_4795640x480.jpg

103_4796640x480.jpg

103_4799640x480.jpg

My only complaint about the pool area at BLT is that the way the resort is built, it gets completely shaded by like 3pm. If you want a space in the sun, find a chair by the splash area, not the pool, It is in the sun the longest.
View looking up to our room (we were in the center, second floor from the top):
103_4800640x480.jpg

Tim and Lauren enjoying the pool (they had the lifevests right by the pool):
103_4802640x480.jpg

After our wonderful swim we headed back inside:
103_4807640x480.jpg

103_4808640x480.jpg

We decided we wanted to check out the Community Hall.
Here is a pic of the activities board, lots going on every day:
103_4809640x480.jpg

The community hall was nice and staff seemed nice:
103_4810640x480.jpg

Then we headed back up to the room to get ready for the evening. I took this pic of the awesome art in the hallway on the way back up:
103_4811640x480.jpg

I was so excited for this night. Originally this trip was supposed to be adults only, we changed our minds on this but our compromise (and the kids were WELL aware of this going in) was we would put the kids in child care one evening so Tim and I could enjoy Food and Wine just the two of us and TONIGHT WAS THE NIGHT. We headed over via monorail to the Poly for the Neverland club:
103_4812640x480.jpg

That place was AMAZING. Here are the kids before they climbed through Wendy’s window (all Peter Pan themed) to go in and play:
103_4813640x480.jpg

After the kids were dropped off Tim and I were on our way to eat and drink our way around the World Showcase. We walked from the poly over to the Ticket and Transportation center (not too long of a walk and a huge time saver). Then we took the monorail to Epcot.
103_4814640x480.jpg

We got our eat on right away:
103_4815640x480.jpg

I got the shrimp stew and the wine pairing and it was OUTSTANDING!!!
103_4816640x480.jpg

CONTINUED IN NEXT POST!

Then we headed to Mexico where Tim got a plate and a XXX beer:
103_4817640x480.jpg

103_4818640x480.jpg

We hit Spain, Tim got the “Taste of Spain”:
103_4821640x480.jpg

I took this of us on this BEAUTIFUL night:
103_4823640x480.jpg

Then we hit Poland again and each got a plate of the yummy Pierogies:
103_4824640x480.jpg

103_4825640x480.jpg

Then we hit another wine and beer stand (love Tim’s face here, can you tell the beers were beginning to take effect):
103_4827640x480.jpg

We continued eating and drinking around to Germany (the line was INSANELY long in Germany). In between Tim had me put the camera away so we could enjoy the night. We had some samplings and sat in the grass and enjoyed them and just took in the beautiful night. After we got our food in Germany I took this pretty shot:
103_4828640x480.jpg

By this point we had partaken in quite a few drinks along with the food and I kept taking pictures of us that weren’t turning out so I deleted a few, this was Tim’s way of showing me he wasn’t happy I was deleting the photos : )
103_4831640x480.jpg

O.K………….. let’s try that again:
103_4832640x480.jpg

Then we made it over to France and I HAD to try the Cosmopolitan Grey Goose Slushies, YUM!
103_4833640x480.jpg

We EACH had one, then we decided we HAD to have another (I’m holding up a number 2 for those of you who didn’t notice : )
103_4837640x480.jpg

Here’s Tim after his second one (hahahaha):
103_4840640x480.jpg

Then we headed towards Great Britian and Canada and hit ONE last wine stand on the way out. I knew Tim was feeling REALLY good because he even sampled wine with me and he doesn’t like wine. I can’t even put into words what an INCREDIBLE MEMORABLE FANTASTIC night this was for Tim and I. We had so much fun enjoying the weather, the food, the drinks, the atmosphere together, it was pure bliss and one of my favorite Disney memories. Made me feel young and in love and just SO HAPPY, we had a magical evening together.
103_4842640x480.jpg

Don’t you worry, we did make it back to pick up the kids (thank God for the monorail : ) They had a WONDERFUL time too and wanted to go back (for that price, no thank you J ) We each had a great night.

BTW, RnR is my fave coaster at WDW, too! Nothing like that music blasting while you loop upside down!

Question - How will Tim get to see the Osbourne Lights and you will not? What did I miss?

Your adults-only night sounds wonderful!!!! We still have a few years before we can do that but are looking forward to some alone time while on the cruise next month!

:goodvibesHi Tim and Lesley!

Just came across your new report! What a great start! Lovely to see the place all done out for Halloween as well!

Food and Wine festival looks yummy! Great to see you having quality couple time as well! Glad you had a great time!

Fantastic that Lauren got to do her first Rock n RollerCoaster ride as well! My middle son Aidan absolutely LOVED this ride! Aidan is autistic and its actually one of his little obsessions! :goodvibes

Everyday before we went last year we had to measure him to see if he was going to be tall enough after watching the Disney Planning DVD! LOL

Now even though he knows that he is tall enough and had ridden it around 3 or 4 times when we were there he still asks to be measured every day to make sure he is still tall enough to ride R n R when we go back! Makes me smile every day!

Fab start!

Great fall popcorn container! I would be excited too! Did you bring yours home? I always have such a hard time throwing things like that out. We still have our AK popcorn container from last trip.

My dd is just big enough to ride Rockin Rollercoaster this next trip. She is excited. I on the other hand have the unrealistic fear she will fall out!

What kind of camera do you use? You have beautiful crisp photos.

WOW!! What a fabulous update!!! Looks like the day was jam-packed with fun!! And what beautiful weather you had!! LOVE the Bay Lake pool!!

Still enjoying every single post! It is so much fun
getting my disney "FIX" from your magical TR's!!!:goodvibes

Great update! The pool at BLT looks great, I can't wait to go! Looks like you had a great parents night out, it's nice to feel young again. Can't wait to read more:)

Wonderful update! Some of those pictures are incredible. You really capture the Disney magic :wizard: I'm surprised you didn't have any annoyances at Contempo Cafe. When my mom and stepdad were there last August, they HATED the system. Couldn't understand why you had to "place" your order at a quick service location. I have not tried it personally but I'm sure it's pretty straight forward. Look forward to more!!!!

The pool looks great! I love the pools that have slides. Since my DD is only 5, she's not into the big thrill water slides yet so I have never taken her to a waterpark. So far she has been happy with just a good pool slide. We are considering BB for next week though b/c the weather forecast says it will be hot!!! We'll see how that works out.

World showcase without kids sounds great too! DD didn't care for WS last year and that bummed me out b/c I LOVED IT!!! I wanted to spend more time there but she kept begging for rides, rides, rides!!

It was an o.k. show, I think it’s time to update this one, Prince Eric was looking OLD! Lauren loved it though, so we forged on.

Great update! I totally agree with you about Prince Eric! At the very least, they should update his wig...he looks soooooo cheesy, and pretty much the opposite of handsome/romantic! :rotfl:

Loving all the firsts you did! Isn't the fall great in WDW? I was there in the begining of the month for my birthday but it was hot! Still a great time, I got giddy over the special halloween cups, napkins etc, and all the F&W festival goodies!

LOVE that pic with the sunrise. It's the only place I really like getting up! :rotfl2:

Don't you just love TSM?! It's so much fun! And that line is half the fun!

Wow, BLT pool looks neat! So about the slide..are you going inbetween all those tiles or what is that?

I love how you guys do a date night! Do the kids get mad about that?

Looks like you had an awesome Day 2!! So how come Tim gets to see Osborne Lights & you don't?? I just love RNR also. I just wish it was a little longer. Looks like you had a wonderful time at F&W!!
