Everyone on the DIS likes "______," however I thought, "_____."

I liked the turkey leg but it was too BIG for one person...my step-dad savored the rest! :thumbsup2

Everyone on the DIS likes Wolfgang Puck's, however, I thought it was the worst service and worst food ever, even beating out the nasty server at Fulton's (and that was a feat)!

I see a lot of bad food reviews for both CRT and Sci-Fi, but I love to eat at both. The food may or may not be good, but the ambiance is what does it for me.

I too was not impressed with the Dole Whips or the grapefruit cake at Brown Derby (way too bitter). I don't eat turkey, but those things smell a heck of a lot like ham!

Crystal Palace -- but then again, I really don't like buffets...

Except for Ohana -- which I really don't consider a "buffet" -- we really like Ohana!!!

Never did the Dole Whip
or
Mickey Bars
or
Turkey Leg

Everyone on the DIS liked ***TONGA TOAST*** but I thought it was ***WAYYYY TOO SWEET and HEAVY***. Talk about a suger overload!!

Casey's Corner hot dogs... I thought they were awful! I am from Chicago so we have great dogs here that was nothing more than a $6 Oscar Mayer!!

AMEN! I thought they were so incredibly greasy - YUCK! :crazy2:

I can agree with the Dole Whip...It was just O.K.

On the opposite side I was really nervous about 50's Prime Time Cafe after reading some nevative reviews but I thought the food was really good and tasty. Our server could have played around a little more but we thought the food was wonderful.

AMEN! I thought the Tonga Toast was going to put me into a coma. :lmao:

Mickey Bars... love to look at em- but way too rich for me!

Flametree Barbecue... I like my ribs drippin with sauce- AND I felt sick the rest of the day after eating there (could be a coincidence, but it left a "bad taste in my mouth")

Casey's hot dogs...yuck!! I'm from Chicago and I know good hot dogs...Casey's are not good at all.

hoop dee doo review.....just as it sounds hoopdy!!

I'll try to be positive and negative in this one:

Most DIS'ers don't like Sci Fi, but my family sort of enjoyed it. Our server was attentive, the burgers were good (not great), and I enjoyed the whole "sitting in a car" feel to it. They could add some movie clips to the repertoire of what's on screen.

Turkey legs - I don't know how people put those things past their lips. Even when I'm at my hungriest in MK, the smell of those things almost nauseates me.

Dole Whips - I LOVE these things. Mmmmm-mmmmm. We can't go to MK and not stop by there and get one.

Prime Time - Way overhyped. The food was ok, and the service attentive, but I didn't see what all the fuss was about.

Counter service in general - people often complain about the counter services in MK and EPCOT as being bland, etc. My family often prefers counter service meals to sit-down meals. Our little girls have very limited tastes as it is, so for us there's usually no point in spending a lot of money on a sit-down meal they won't eat, when a much less expensive counter service meal will do just as well. And they're often really not that bad. Okay, the Noodle Hut, I will grant you, is bad. But if you're wanting a quick fill-er-up to keep hitting the parks, counter service is pretty reliable.

Le Cellier - I have often defended Le Cellier in the past on here. But on our last trip, I have to agree with a previous poster that it has gone "downhill". It's too bad, because this used to be a very good restaurant.

Everyone on the DIS likes the Cobb salad at Brown Derby, but I thought it was a mushy dish of ground up lettuce. (Loved the atmosphere though!)

I had that salad, too! But mine was years ago - the week MGM opened in fact.... and I've never been back because that salad was so gross.

(I've had Cobb salads I liked. This was not one of them).

Second on Boma. I thought it was WAY overrated. There were some things that were good, but overall I was underwhelmed. And we had the worst waitress there of our entire trip.

In June we stood in a long, long line waiting for a Dole Whip because I told my husband that everyone on the DIS thinks they are wonderful and I had to try one.

I guess I was expecting something spectacular because all I thought was, "pineapple ice cream? Whoop de doo."

I was disappointed because I thought it was something like a pineapple upsidedown cake with a whipped topping (using Dole pineapple of course). Was I ever surprised when i was handed this icecream. I asked the guy "Is this all?" He said "Yeah".

Everyone loves Boma at the AKL. I think its gross. Just not my cup of tea. Really expensive for food you really dont like. I ended up eating chicken fingers and mac n cheese off of the kids buffet.

::yes:: I completely agree. We HATED Boma's. I tried all of the soups and thought they were all disgusting. I also tried some of the other things before heading over to the kids buffet as well. An expensive meal for mac n cheese and chicken fingers.

Everyone on the DIS likes Chef Mickey's, however we thought the food was awful, the character interraction was almost non existent and the service was barely adequate.

Everyone on the DIS likes Hoop de doo, so does our family but we have sworn never again. We'll just go to Trails End thanks.

Everyone on the DIS likes Whispering Canyon Cafe, however we only like it for breakfast.

Everyone on the DIS thinks Zebra Domes are the best dessert on property practically, however we thought they were just ok, and not even the best dessert at Boma.

Everyone on the DIS likes Mickey Bars, however DH thought Minnie Bars rule.

Here come the flames....
Everyone on the DIS likes the Dining Plan, however I want the only thing influencing my food choices to be my hunger level.
