Everyone on the DIS likes "______," however I thought, "_____."

The biegnets at POFQ. I don't what all the rage is? On the other hand I love the Turkey Legs so what do I know.

Rice Cream, but I thought it wasn't sweet enough.

And, on the other hand

Everyone on the DIS HATES Beverly, but I liked the old gal. But I think skunks smell like pepperoni pizza, too.

LOLOLOLOLOLOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Everyone on DIS loves Coral Reef, but our entire party thought the food was terrible, and very overpriced.

I have been here for a long time now and have learned to take reviews with a grain of salt. Folks here tend to use the word "awesome" and "fabalous" a lot. We have tried restaurants and food items many times based on reviews here but have learned to just use it as a guide to go by. Boma's is one where we were disapointed in after "rave" reviews. A more reset one was on EOS at DTD. Its fast food and folks were raving about it as if it were a 5 star restaurant. Another one was the cheese soup at LeCellier in EPCOT. It was good but I think the Campbells version is just as good and you don't pay an extra $5.00 for it. We have eaten at all and they are good let's keep things in prespective...smjj

Cannot stand the Dole Whip but I like a glass of pineapple juice

Cannot stand the turkey leg, totally gross

Chef Mickeys was bad, we had better breakfasts at the moderate All Star hotels

Counter service at Japan and Mexico, really bad

And the worst of the worst, I mean dont even try to eat there even if you are starving place is TOMORROWLAND NOODLE TERRACE!!!!

Italian cola (Beverly is it?)

Thanks for clearing that one up for me. I was trying to figure out who Beverly was and why everyone hated her. :rotfl2:

Everyone likes Spoodles, but we had our worst meal here and our server was awful.

Everyone raves about... BOMA and Crystal Palace-- our server was terrible at Boma and the food was really good, I just expected too much! As for Crystal Palace-- the buffet was fine-- but the character interaction for us was horrible too..

On the other hand, we LOVED Chef Mickeys and we also loved the Liberty Tree Taven. Sometimes I think when your expectations are lower you are bound to be pleasantly surprised!

great thread-- and we love Dole Whips so much we make them at home!

Hate to beat a dead horse (horrible image -- don't know why it came to mind!), but I was so excited to eat dinner at O'Hanas last time we were there, and I thought it was really disappointing. The meat was overcooked and DRY DRY DRY. somewhat unappetizing. And the service was slow. And it was expensive. Won't be going back there. 'nuf said.

Wow - that is almost exactly what I was going to post - except the dead horse part - LOL!!!

So for me Ohanas was the biggest let down for me. #2 would be Pecos Bill's - I had heard so many wonderful raves about it but I thought it was gross.

On the other hand I love the cheese soup at Le Cellier...

I have tried to love the turkey legs. But they are just nasty, and WAY too difficult to eat. The skin is rubbery, the meat is hard to get to - just not a good thing.

Dole whips are fine. They're ice cream and pineapple juice. Whoot, as my DS would say.

I don't understand churros at all. Fried nasty things. Ah,well.

And I tried the cheddar cheese soup at the Food and Wine Festival, and don't see what the fuss is all about, but that may be due to the size of the sample.

Now, the mushroom appetizer at Rose and Crown was really really really incredible, and I can't think of why IT'S not mentioned more often. I loved the green beans at Prime Time, of all things. And it's just not a trip to WDW without a Mickey Bar - they're somehow better than any other ice cream bar I've ever had.

Fun thread..I'll play!

Everyone on the DIS likes Whispering Canyon Cafe, however it was our worst meal at Disney ever. Our server was rude (not fun rude) & slow, the food was horrible..tasted like they boiled their meat. :crazy2:

On the other hand, because of the DIS we tried Le Cellier for the 1st time last October & it was wonderful. Don't think I would have gone if it wasn't for the DIS. Same goes for Boma & Mamma Melrose...So thanks for that! :disrocks:

Everyone on the DIS likes "Walt Disney World," however I thought, "I love Walt Disney World."

:rotfl2: :rotfl: :rotfl2: :rotfl:

Ok I'll shut up! :duck:

Although they are no longer there....

Beaver Tails in Canada are like glorified cinnamon toast. DH and I hated them.

Dole Whips do nothing for me, either! :sad2:

school bread( give me france's bakery any day) and turkey legs( though i didn't really anticipate much from them) kenya press pot ( give me Gevalia peuvian organic any day instead ...of which i can about buy 1/2 a lb for the same price) tonga toast was a bust in trips past.
places
Boma,( over priced breakfast buffet pretty much like all the rest ) Ohana,( lousy service very uneven food), scifi( cute but incredibly bad service and food)

Everyone on the DIS likes *The Hoop de Doo* but I *Think I'd rather get stitches than have to sit through Hee Haw live.*

just read this and my sentiments exactly...add in the pink glopy "strawberry shortcake" and imo you've got a nightmare evening :rotfl2:

Casey's Corner hot dogs... I thought they were awful! I am from Chicago so we have great dogs here that was nothing more than a $6 Oscar Mayer!!

Everybody on DIS loves the Food and Wine festival but we wondered where on earth the chefs got the recipes from (certainly not therelevant countries)

Cheddar Cheese Soup - It was way too rich for me. Like eating a stick of butter, blech!
'Ohanas - Talk about over-hyped!
Most Character Meals - You can see the characters in the parks FOR FREE, why put yourself through a high priced, mediocre experience? (But I do love the Crystal Palace buffet!)

Ohana's - it was okay but not spectacular. We did it once and wouldn't bother going again. I'd much rather go to Japan or China to eat.

Beaches and Cream - the burgers were the same you can get anywhere else in WDW.

Chef Mickey's (dinner) - it's gone downhill since we first started going. We won't be having dinner there again for awhile.

Everyone on the DIS loves Chef Mickeys but we found it mediocre at best.
