Every-ONE is coming up DAISY!!! WDW & WWoHP w/ LOTS of pics - FINISHED 10/13, p 24

Cute house.
Love Spanish Moss trees. I wish we had them here.
The gorilla is looking at you like he wants to curse you out. LOL.
The zoo looked like fun.
LOL. That is a great sure and very true.
“Poopy” LOL.
All caught up.

Boys and their "poopy" talk. :rotfl2:

I love the beach photos Dawn. Seth is such a little man now, not a baby boy.

Dawn!! I'm trying to catch up on TR's. I just read your first few installments. Looks like you guys are starting to have fun already. I remember when DS was 2 he was the same way with the characters. When we went back a year later he was 3 but a couple months from being 4. THAT was the "year of the characters" as we like to call it. He LOVED meeting them and getting them to sign his book. We met SO MANY characters on that trip. The year after that was when he started becoming more interested in rides. It has been so much fun watching him grow through the trips to WDW. :goodvibes Going back to read more........

Hi Dawn! I've been thinking about you - wondering if you were still writing and I missed it. Look! I missed two updates.

I love your beach photos. The evening photo shoot you did turned out beautiful - the lighting was perfect!

Fun updates. I'm glad you enjoyed your MM dinner. Funny that Seth isn't into Cars :goodvibes He was so polite to smile for them, though. ;) I'm looking forward to seeing how Seth liked Fantasmic!

Hi, there! I just wanted to swing by and apologize, both to my readers and to those of you whose TRs I am reading. I haven't been on the disboards in about a month. :crazy2: Life has just been super busy. Every free moment I've had lately I've been doing something other than dissing. Not anything bad, really, just other stuff! It probably won't slow down until after Thanksgiving but I will try my best to get an update or two in there before that time. Thanks so much for being patient with me!! :thumbsup2

Don't worry Dawn. I think we are all really busy right now. Have a Happy Thanksgiving, and we'll see you when you get back to us!

Wow! I'm all caught up! I thought for sure you had finished. I haven't been on the DIS since the end of July (went back to work then and now out for Thanksgiving, so I finally had time). Maybe I'll be back for Christmas Break! Loved all the updates. Still hoping to take AJ before he turns 3 in October but with having another baby in March, it may not work out. We'll see.

Enjoy your holidays and I'll check back soon for more!

No excuses. Just an apology. I'm sorry I've been so neglectful of this TR. I will try to be better. I hope my American disfriends had a wonderful Thanksgiving and I hope all of you are having a peaceful and happy Christmas/holiday season. :goodvibes

Because I'm so far behind, I'm going to do an update first, and then go back and do responses.

Well, since my last update (2 months ago :faint:) we've been busy - going to fall festivals, traveling here and there, just living life. Some highlights:

Spending a Day Out with Thomas at Lake Blackshear.....

A visit to a pumpkin patch with Seth's class...

Mommy got a bonus trip to the beach (St. Simon's Island) for work, and got an oceanview room. It was heavenly, especially in late October when the weather was so nice. I did miss my boys though. It was the first time I was away from Seth overnight EVER and it was for THREE nights. I was a wreck.

My dinosaur at Halloween....

Aunt Brooke visited in November and we took a trip to the Georgia Aquarium....

We went to Nashville for Thanksgiving and met Santa at Opryland Hotel....

And finally, getting ready for CHRISTMAS!!!!!

When I last left you in Hollywood Studios, we had finished dinner at Mama Melrose and enjoyed the Great Movie Ride to kill some time. As we exited the attraction we saw this....

I guess watching the last show of the evening for the American Idol thing is pretty interesting if people are laying down on the pavement to watch it!

Snapped a shot of this as we went by. I've never eaten here....not on the top of my list but maybe one day!

We had some time to kill before the show so we decided to do a little shopping/strolling and then I got Seth some chicken tenders and fries to snack on since he didn't eat much at dinner. I also got one of these....I believe it was a frozen golden margarita from the produce place in that area. It was yummy!

Mom looks like a natural in those ears!

Hmmmm....interesting.

Just enjoying the atmosphere (and some fries) before it was time to head for Fantasmic!

Continued in next post: http://www.disboards.com/showpost.php?p=50225452&postcount=269

Just a video of Seth being silly (click to play). You can hear my mom saying, "hmmmmmm." Seth was doing this thing during the trip where he'd put his finger to his mouth and get this puzzled look on his face and say, "hmmmmm." But of course he wouldn't do it for the camera on cue. :rotfl:

Finally it was time to head to Fantasmic!

Love this view.

We found the Fantasmic! dining package seating area with no problem...well, after I asked a CM where to go. Easily found a seat and settled in to wait. I was worried about Seth sitting still for more than 10 minutes or so but he did great. And the CMs are really good about keeping the crowd entertained. Seth was laughing right along with the show, although he had no idea what he was laughing at. :rotfl2:

Keeping himself entertained with glow jewelry....

Doing the wave before the show started....Seth loved this.

My pictures aren't great b/c I didn't have a tripod and b/c I was managing at 2-year-old.

Seth LOVED the show. I can't wait to take him again (mostly b/c I adore it too). My mom thought it was awesome as well. He kept saying, "that's amazing!" during the show. It was so funny! :goodvibes

After the show we were beat so we headed towards the exit with everyone else and their mother. Snapped this last shot of my beloved Tower of Terror as we went by.....

I love DHS at night!

Bye Hollywood....until next time!

We headed back to the condo and Seth went to bed, and we snacked on our leftovers from Mama Melrose and then had sweet Disney dreams ourselves!

Next update will be a new, unfamiliar territory for this DISer.....UNIVERSAL STUDIOS!!!!! :scared1: :lmao: Well, to clarify, Islands of Adventure. The next day was my day with Terrie, Joshua and some other friends to explore the Wizarding World of Harry Potter, while Mom and Seth had a free day to relax. Stay tuned!!!

Be still my heart!!!!! He looks like he should be in a childrens clothing ad! How cute is he!!!!

Awww, thanks! We like him. ;)

Aw, Dawn! Your beach holiday sounded lovely and those photos are just gorgeous! I especially love the one of sleepy Seth over Ray's shoulder... He looks so happy and content after an evening playing at the beach! Bliss!

And ahhh, Savannah. I love that place. Those beautiful trees! We'll have to go back there one day. :)

Mama Melrose... Gah! I'm still cross with them about ruining our plans for the Fantasmic package, all those years ago! Hehee. I'm glad you had a nice meal though!

Looking forward to reading more! :yay:

Thanks! We had a great time at the beach and Savannah. Hope you guys get to visit there again when you return to the States!

I enjoyed the pictures from all of your journeys - big and small. I know your parents love spending time with you guys no matter what you are doing.

We get the same pictures on GMR because those are the spots with the best lighting. I think the woman in the Alien scene is creepier than anything there.

Looks like Seth was having a blast stomping around in the water on the beach. What a fun way to learn about his world! We're going to be reading a story about jellyfish after fall break, and I would love to take my whole class to see a beach and some jellyfish -even if dead on the sand - for real. They lack so much 'real world' experience.

We saw a HUGE jellyfish on the sand our first day at Tybee Island. Not sure if he was dead or not but I wasn't gonna find out! Seth thought he was cool but we had to make sure he didn't get too close! :crazy2: We saw another one in the water but he was smaller. Still dangerous though!

I enjoyed your updates. Your beach vacation sounds so nice. No one in my family is interested in the beach besides me. I'm glad Seth enjoyed it. He is such a handsome little guy.

It was nice of the rain to stop for y'all when you arrived at DHS. I love Fantasmic, I hope the rain doesn't come back. I wonder if Seth was scared. We couldn't convince my son to see Fantasmic until he was about 9! I don't know what he thought was going to happen.

Thanks! I love the beach but in small doses. The sand gets to me after awhile.

Seth didn't seem scared at all at Fantasmic, but every kid is so different. The only thing that scares Seth is Bruce from Finding Nemo....go figure! :confused3

The photos of Seth on the beach are so incredibly cute :goodvibes

Thanks! :)

Great Beach and Zoo trip.

Leave it to a little Boy to find the perfect time when you are trapped to pull the poopy out. :lmao:

Looks like he enjoyed the GMR.

I know, right?? It was funny though.

Cute house.
Love Spanish Moss trees. I wish we had them here.
The gorilla is looking at you like he wants to curse you out. LOL.
The zoo looked like fun.
LOL. That is a great sure and very true.
“Poopy” LOL.
All caught up.

I wish we had them too! We are just a bit too far north for them, but they aren't far from us. Just drive about 3 hours south and you'll start seeing the Spanish moss hanging everywhere. Love it!

I think that gorilla wanted to eat me. :lmao:

Boys and their "poopy" talk. :rotfl2:

I love the beach photos Dawn. Seth is such a little man now, not a baby boy.

Don't remind me. :sad2: He's getting so big and that makes me sad and happy all at once.

Hey, there! Glad to see you here!!! :goodvibes I don't think we'll be able to get back to WDW while he's 3 but I'm hoping for December next year, which means he will have just turned 4. So hopefully that "magic" with the characters will still be there!

Glad you didn't miss much! :rotfl: Thanks. Yeah, he just never really took to Cars for some reason. He's watched the movie a few times but never asks to see it like he does Toy Story or Monsters or Tinker Bell.

Don't worry Dawn. I think we are all really busy right now. Have a Happy Thanksgiving, and we'll see you when you get back to us!

Hope you had a great Thanksgiving!!!! And thanks for understanding. :goodvibes

No, I'm slow! Just been busy. You know how that goes! Thanks for sticking with me!

oooh, can't wait to see what you find at Universal! I need to head over there myself soon.

So glad you found your way back. I know how busy life is. I can't seem to find time to DIS either.

So glad Seth enjoyed F! I hear you on the 10 mile walk out with a million of your new friends. ;)

Have not been to IOA or US for that matter in a loooong time. I need to make time for it someday.

Looks like you have had a busy and fun Fall!

I'm glad Fantasmic was a hit.:thumbsup2

I think this is my favorite way to end a Disney day in an exciting way. I'd rather see Fantasmic than Wishes to cap off a day, which many people may think is blasphemy. ;) Sitting out by the pool with the family for a late night swim for the girls and just all of us hanging out talking would be my top quiet way. So glad Seth found it amazing and was not scared. :thumbsup2

Seth is a brave boy. Watching Fantasmic and sitting on Santa's lap are two things my son would not do at that age. We had to make him see Fantasmic when he was 9! :confused3

Coming up! Hopefully will get that update done soon.

It was so much fun! Not Disney but if you're an HP fan, I highly recommend it.

Me too! So glad it didn't scare him.

I do think it's my favorite nighttime "show." Don't get me wrong, I do love Wishes. And Illuminations is great too, although probably my least favorite. But this wins out for me as my favorite.

Seth is a brave boy. Watching Fantasmic and sitting on Santa's lap are two things my son would not do at that age. We had to make him see Fantasmic when he was 9! :confused3

All kids are different...I'm sure there's some things your little guy would do that freak Seth out! He's terrified of Bruce on Finding Nemo. And most kids like him!!

Onward we go! Today was Wednesday, May 22nd, and today we were gonna do something I hadn't done since 1992....visit Universal Studios! Islands of Adventure, to be exact, which didn't even exist in 1992. Mom and Seth were gonna hang out at the condo and go swimming. So glad they got to have a "down" day. And of course myself, Terrie and Joshua were heading to Islands of Adventure, mainly to see the Wizarding World of Harry Potter. I am a huge fan of the books and the movies....and I couldn't wait!!

We headed out around 9:30. No reason to rush...there was no plan to visit the entire park. I wanted to concentrate on the HP area and maybe do a couple other things. We got into the parking deck just before 10:00 and headed inside. The moving sidewalks, which Terrie and Joshua did not take....they said they freaked them out. :rotfl:

We got to the building where bag check is and saw this. This is the BAG CHECK line????

:scared1:

SO NOT DISNEY. I don't think I've ever seen a bag check line like that at Disney. And it wasn't moving....at all. Not good. We finally figured out that the line was moving on the far righthhand side, so we went over there.

A quick walk through City Walk and we saw this at about 10:20....

Some pictures as we entered the park.....

I bet this place is pretty busy these days!

Now, I had asked Terrie and Joshua if they had anything like fastpass there since they had been on Monday, and they weren't sure. I did want to ride some of the bigger rollercoasters, but if the waits were bad I wasn't going to worry about it since they weren't really interested in those. However, when we came out of the Port of Entry area, I saw this....

And I immediately said, "Um....I'm riding THAT!!!" So there goes that plan. I did stop in a store and ask an employee about whatever their equivalent of fastpass is, and she told me they do have that and it was around $50-60 (I can't remember exactly). :faint: Um...nope. That's one reason I'm really REALLY hoping Disney doesn't limit FP+ to resort guests only. I prefer staying on property but sometimes it's more practical not to. And taking away FP completely to off-site guests just seems like a cheap shot to me. :worried: One great thing about Disney has always been you get FP service automatically with a park ticket. I just don't want them to take that away. Anyway, the employee did tell me that some of the bigger attractions had single rider lines, so I made a mental note of that.

Some more pics as we headed towards WWoHP....

Loved the Suess area. I want to take Seth back here one day. We went into a couple of stores here but didn't ride anything.

One fish, two fish, red fish, blue fish, grumpy fish....

The restaurant inside this place had a sign up that claimed to be Orlando's best restaurant.....that's a big claim to make!

Here we go!!!!!! Into Hogsmeade....

Please respect the spell limits.

Continued in next post: http://www.disboards.com/showpost.php?p=50290199&postcount=278

Ahhhhh.....

I really felt like I had stepped into the books (except for the tourists in shorts, of course).

I stopped to get my picture made with the Conductor of the Hogwarts Express....he told me he'd meet me at Platform 9 and 3/4!

First we went into Zonko's....the candy and trick store....

U-No-Poo....

I loved this Muggle shirt and it made the short list for a purchase, but I decided on another one.

We found Lynda and Josh (we had planned to meet up with them and we had been texting that morning....Lynda's mom was watching Avery so they had a toddler-free day too) and then promptly went to purchase my first Butterbeer!

I chose a frozen one this time....

Oh my goodness....SO GOOD. I'm sorry but it puts LaFou's Brew to shame. :thumbsup2 In fact, Ray and I have opted to make Butterbeer this year for Christmas as opposed to punch. We are still experimenting but we are close. :stir:

The theming here was so well done....

Heading further into Hogsmeade, and Hogwarts comes into view. WOW.....

I loved this. The ATM machine has a sign over it that says, "Gringotts Bank". Wonder where the goblins are??

Hermione's dress from "Goblet of Fire".....

Loved the pots stacked up....

Wonder if they decorate this guy for Christmas?

Another shot of Hogwarts....

Gonna break here. Next updates, some rides, lunch at the Three Broomsticks and....again....TOTO, WE'RE NOT IN DISNEY ANY MORE!!!! :worried:

Great update, they really did a fantastic job with Harry Potter didn't they?!
