Every-ONE is coming up DAISY!!! WDW & WWoHP w/ LOTS of pics - FINISHED 10/13, p 24

Hilarious about Terrie and the "big ball". Also, that Dole Whip looked good. They should have that avail all the time. Glad Seth got to enjoy the monorail before he went to sleep.

So what is the brand and model of that stroller? As far as the eating thing, my DH is not a big guy, so I guess it's in AJ's genes to be smaller. It's funny bc he has never had a fat roll. He's all lean and kind of muscular bc he is always running around and jumping , etc.

Thanks for the compliment on AJ. Of course, I think he's cute, but I'm a little biased. :)

Funny about Seth and the monorail and wanting to get on and off. Owen loved the monorail, probably his favorite ride....

Peter Pan looks so cool!

I'm glad Seth enjoyed his "train" ride, and your mom seemed to enjoy it more than Soarin' so that's good.

I love the Peter Pan topiary on the roof, very cool. You are a big Peter Pan fan, right?

so excited to see you post on MeMoms report and then to find out you had a report going :cool1: have only read your first post but after that ever so cute photo of Seth I had to reply! Glad you are back:goodvibes

Really nice TR!!! Your little guy is adorable!!! Can't wait to read more. Thanks for sharing!!!

Too bad she had to close her eyes on Soarin’ for some scenes. Great ride but needs to be updated to be like Star Tours with different scenes.
Your mom is very strong holding up Spaceship Earth. Lol
I always find the monorail to smell. But I do love riding it.
LOL. The conversation was funny. How do you miss the big ball?
Great update and pics.

Dawn,
You wore that poor boy out!!!! :rotfl2: So nice to have a hard Disney sleep where you can transfer him and he stays out.

Hmmm I had the Dole whip with rum and it was okay. Coconut rum would probably taste better.

In fact I had a conversation with the CM in front of the butterfly house and he told me to get a Dole whip at the Poly and then take it upstairs to the Tambu lounge and have them put a shot of coconut rum in it. :idea:

I think next time I will do that. ::yes::

Overall you had a wonderful day. Minus the stinky monorail car. :sick:

Love this!

Still not sure how I missed this other than having to chase an almost 3 year old around Capt. Hook and running to the bathroom right there...Crazy!! :rotfl:

I'm sure I missed lots, too, with dealing with a 2.5-year-old and a newbie all at the same time! :rotfl:

Dawn! Lovely to see you back here with a new trip report! :yay:

Your little Seth is so cute and grown up! I just went back to re-read your previous trip report from when he was a baby, because DH and I are heading back to WDW in October with our little bubba, who will be 7 months old when we're there. Big trip from Australia... What are we getting ourselves in for!? :laughing:

Sounds like this trip has been a great one so far! Aside from the stinky monorail of course. Can't wait to read more! popcorn::

Actually I bet 7 months will be great. Not walking yet, still on mostly baby food, and they aren't really expressing an opinion yet other than being hungry, dirty or sleepy! Be sure to have a Bjorn or similar style baby carrier - it will be a life saver. I lived in that thing when Seth was that age. Also I had changing kits made for diaper changes - that way I didn't have to lug in my entire back pack when we'd go to the bathroom. I'd put a diaper, a bag for dirty diapers, a small travel size pack of wipes and a changing table cover all in a ziploc bag and then I'd just grab the ziploc bag and Seth and go. Then I'd just refill my "kits" every night and throw about 6 or 7 in my backpack. Also utilize the baby care centers....they are great!

By the way, thanks for reading!!! :goodvibes

I enjoyed a quick trip to GF and then through Epcot this morning before I run off to cook breakfast at camp.

Glad Terrie finally found 'the ball'. :goodvibes

Glad you had a good morning with us. :) Terrie missing the ball was a highlight (or maybe a lowlight?) of the trip. :rotfl2:

How funny Seth was so excited about the monorail! :goodvibes What cute little sleepy pics! Now that Dole Whip sounds like one I'll have to try. :thumbsup2

He did love it. But he loves trains of all shapes and sizes. The Dole Whip was sooooo good! :thumbsup2

Great pics! :goodvibes

Thank you! ;)

I agree about the Dole Whip. Maybe they'll decide to add it all the time. We can hope!

It's a Combi Cosmo. They run about $130, which is way more than I want to pay for an umbrella stroller (which is essentially what it is). But I got it off Craiglist for like $50. It's been a great stroller. I prefer my jogging stroller but it's so bulky. So this was great for handling and taking up less space for the trip.

Funny about Seth and the monorail and wanting to get on and off. Owen loved the monorail, probably his favorite ride....

Peter Pan looks so cool!

We probably could have ridden the monorail all day and he would've been happy. :rotfl:

Yep! I love Peter. I thought that was a great idea, having him on the roof! :thumbsup2

Aw, thanks so much! And welcome! Glad to have you hear. :goodvibes

Yeah, I could do with some updates on Soarin.

I have NO IDEA how you miss the big ball. I mean, you can see it from the road before you even get into the park. I know you could see it when we were on our way to the Beach Club that morning. :confused3 Whatever...it made my laugh. :lmao:

Thanks!

Oh, coconut rum does sound good. But I did like the one they had too. Once I mixed it in with the Dole whip it was super yummy! But I will remember that suggestion about the coconut rum at Tambu Lounge! :thumbsup2

Just a quick update to catch up on Photopass pictures. (If you are here for the last actual update, go to page 8.)

These first few are from early in the day when we went up to the front of the park, basically checked the wait time on SE and then Mom saw the flowery golf cart and we witnessed the hot lady in her short-shorts. ;)

You can tell Seth was really thrilled by this one....:rotfl2:

And these were taken after we were heading back into the park and Seth had fallen asleep on the monorail.....

Okay, all caught up on Photopass pictures. Now I can just put them in as we go along. :thumbsup2

Hey, guys! Before I continue with the TR, I wanted to share a small milestone with ya. We took Seth to his first big-boy in-theater movie yesterday! :goodvibes We went to see Monsters University and it was really good - go see it if you haven't yet!

Here we are on our way! I had pre-purchased tickets for the 10am show just to avoid the crowd, and wouldn't you know it....Seth decided to sleep in! He never does that but we let him stay up late on Saturday night to catch fireflies. So I had to wake him up at 8:30 yesterday morning. Hence the extra rush of sugar in that Yoo Hoo!

Checking out the concession stand....candy!

I love this one.....

The seats weren't meant for toddlers. Every time Seth would shift his weight, the seat would start to fold up. I had to keep my hand on it most of the time. But I guess a good ole Icee makes everything better.

He did really well. He would say, "Byyyyyeeeee!" after all the trailers. He got a little antsy here and there, but nothing horrible. He LOVED the popcorn. I had never given him any before now (fear of choking on the kernels) but he was just shoveling it in. :rotfl: He noticed the lights on the stairway near the end of the movie and wanted to go see them, and he kept talking really loud about them, so I got up to take him outside because he wouldn't lower his voice. But I heard the credits start rolling as we were almost to the door, so we didn't miss much. All in all, I think our first movie was a success! :thumbsup2

Okay, back to the TR......

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
We are now on Monday, May 20th. I woke up super early for two reasons. First, Terrie and Joshua had to be at WL to catch their shuttle to Islands of Adventure by 8:20. Second, I had a client whose 180-day dining window opened that day, and she wanted Be Our Guest. She knew I was out of town and offered to also call to get BoG that morning. Luckily between the two of us we were able to get it and some other great stuff for her. :thumbsup2
After a quick breakfast for everyone, we were on our way to WL. I wanted Mom to see the resort since we had stayed there last trip and I love it so much. Everyone was very impressed with the resort. It's just so beautiful. Notice I'm not posting pictures yet. There's a reason for that....:rolleyes1
So we part ways with Terrie and Joshua (they were catching a Mears shuttle to IoA), and we go into the lobby, and Mom is all oohs and aahs....and of course I'm snapping pictures of everything.
(No pictures here.)
We go over to the famous disboards-baby-wishing fountain (of which Seth is a product) and I keep on snapping pictures.
(No pictures here.)
Luckily I did snap a couple with my cell phone....
We headed out past the pool for the boat dock. All the way I'm snapping pictures of this gorgeous resort on this gorgeous day.
(No pictures here.)
It wasn't too long before a boat showed up. I recently learned that they have changed boat service to MK to start at 8:30am. I think it used to start earlier than that. You cannot make it to rope drop if the boat doesn't show up until 8:30. But as long as we got in while the show was going on, that's all I cared about.
On the way to MK!
The rope drop show was beginning as we were getting off the boat. This was the first day we had trouble with tickets. We had paper tickets since we were staying off site, and they didn't have the turnstiles clearly marked now that they have 2 different kinds of ticket readers. So we waited in line to get in, and the ticket reader we had couldn't read our tickets. I guess the CM saw the look on my face when she started to tell me to get back in line, so she called another CM over with a special ticket reader and she took our tickets that way. They need to have the turnstiles marked!
So, again, I'm snapping away with pictures of the opening show. Mom and Seth both loved it.
(No pictures here.)
We got into the park after rope drop and made our way around Town Square to Main Street. I videoed him as he saw the castle. It's pretty funny. It took awhile for him to notice it....you know, the HUGE WHITE AND BLUE THING AT THE END OF THE STREET???? :lmao:
(Click to play video.)
By the way, since we have returned from Disney World, my son has become COMPLETELY OBSESSED with the Castle. He wants to watch home movies of our past trips just to see it (over and over again). He also FREAKS out at the beginning of every Disney movie when he sees the Castle. It's craziness. It also makes me think we will be taking him back sooner than we had planned. :rolleyes1
We also stopped to take a quick photopass picture....
Notice the camera around my neck....and the lack of pictures in this update? Keep reading. :worried:
So off we go, up to the Castle, and through, into Fantasyland, the entire time I'm snapping pictures.
(No pictures here.)
Regardless of the lack of pictures (which we'll get to later), I was in heaven. I just love MK in the morning. My favorite part of any trip! :cloud9:
(Continued in next post: http://www.disboards.com/showpost.php?p=48835554&postcount=135)
I headed straight for Peter Pan to get fastpasses, then where to? Into the New Fantasyland, of course! Through those neato castle gates and into the Enchanted Tales with Belle area. So so cute! I loved it. We didn't do this attraction this time b/c Seth has no interest in Beauty & the Beast. Since you can't get a fastpass to this one, I wasn't gonna make Mom and Seth wait on me to enjoy it. So it will be a "next time" attraction....top of my list!
And yes, as I was walking along I was taking all sorts of pictures.
We made our way past Gaston's Tavern which I also loved. We would be back later today to visit it for a treat. Pictures of that to come.
(No pictures here.)
We headed straight for Journey of the Little Mermaid. Seth has not seen this movie since I only have it on VHS, but I knew he'd love it anyway. (I've pre-ordered it for release in October, and I can't wait for him to see it, especially since he sleeps with Sebastian and doesn't even realize there's a personality to go with that crab! He also sleeps with a cow and Ray and I have dubbed them "Surf and Turf." :rotfl2:)
There was like a 5-minute wait, so hitting this first thing in the morning is awesome! I took lots of pictures of the queue area as we walked through, and Seth LOVED looking at everything.
(Again, no pictures here.)
I used my cell for pictures once we got on the ride.....
Sing it, Sebastian!
Super cute ride....Seth loved it!
After that we headed back towards Gaston's Tavern/Enchanted Tales with Belle. I asked Mom to get a picture of me in front of the fountain showing off my muscles with Gaston. She went to take the picture, and she said the camera wasn't doing anything. So I walk over to her, look at the camera, and saw that the power button was off. So I turn it on, and the first thing I see is "NO MEMORY CARD."
:eek:.....:sad:
NOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I had left my memory card in my laptop when I had uploaded pics to my computer the night before. I was so sick. I had taken TONS of pictures of WL, MK opening show, the Castle, New Fantasyland. AHHHHHHHH!!!!!! Thank goodness for my cell phone, but still....no way to replace those pictures. I could go back and retrace my steps, but it was so hot that day, and with Seth I just didn't have the patience to do that. I felt just awful....and stupid! :(
So after I stopped pouting, we decided to head to the Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh before the line got too long. I think the wait was 20 minutes already.
Seth loved the play area and so did I....it kept him occupied during the wait!
ABSOLUTELY NO GOPHERS!
Second ride and already tired....
Here we go!
He loved the ride, the bouncing part being his favorite! :thumbsup2
Lynda (DisneyFreak92) and I had been texting all morning. She and her little guy, Avery (who is less than 2 weeks older than Seth) were coming to meet us that day. She lives near WDW and we had met during our 2011 trip but it was a very quick meet b/c Seth wasn't feeling too hot and we didn't keep him out in the park long that day. So we had been planning a re-do! She texted me and said she was at Dumbo, so we headed that way.
Next time....more New and Old Fantasyland, lunch plan changes and Seth's FAVORITE part of the trip!
Oh no on the memory card! I've done that too. Seth is a cutie patootie. Glad he enjoyed the movie. We took my niece (4) and nephew (6) last weekend and they liked it too. My brother and I laughed harder than most of the kids at the jokes.
Jill in CO
I haven't done that with the memory card, but I have with the battery ::yes:: and back in the day, I took a whole bunch of character pictures with no film in the camera! ;) So, did you buy a memory card at Magic Kingdom??
I enjoyed your update, even without pictures. Sorry you didn't get all the ones you wanted. I agree that MK in the morning is the BEST!
Oh no! The missing memory card! :furious: How frustrating that had to be!
But, I enjoyed all the pictures you did get on your phone! Looks like Seth is really having fun!
I still need to go see the new Monster's!
