Just went to the Disney web site and it has a banner on top to be among the first to experience the new ride. Sneak Peak Before it's official launch in April. So I guess fellow DIs'ers we will get to ride. YEAH :cool1:  :cheer2:

Just back. went Feb1-8th. We rode Everest 8 times. We rode it 3 times on Tuesday morning all with less than a 5 minute wait. It was a great ride! It didn't run in the rain, but it was always running when we were there when it was sunny.

Thanks for the info, just 15 more days and hopefully we can do the same as you and ride many times..... :sunny:  :cheer2:

Hi, we are in the world right now! We were at animal kingdon yesterday and my dh and I rode Everest 5 times. I highly recommend going during emh if you can.
We waited with a crowd for everest to open, it was closed several times during the day, and the cast members are great. Just ask them if they think the ride will be open again. One cast member told us that he was "highly hopeful" that the ride would open again. When I asked if that meant maybe yes, he said he thought so and nodded yes quickly. My dh and I made one mistake though, if you go, get the fastpass, when the ride opens, run with everyone else to stand by. (be near the front of crowd if you can) then after you experience the ride, use your fastpass. because you will want to ride again and again!!! we did the opposite and used fastpass first. Was a great experience being on the first train when they did open, but then had a 30 minute wait to ride again. Too bad we didn't get park hopper passes, I would love to go ride again. They will do the ride photos, but since the ride is not yet 'open' no photos. Oh well, I guess I will have to plan another trip. THis is the greatest thrill ride ever!!! the drops are awesome and the ride is exciting every second!! Have a great time when you all get here.

We always get fastpasses then wait in the standby line. We are true re-riders. My DDs will be sad about the photos not being up yet. Their favorite thing is to find the cameras and make the funniest faces. I have one of Splash Mountain where DD12 actually looks like she is sleeping. Arms folded against the side with her head down and a calm peaceful look on her face. My face pure terror. I love Splash Mountain but hate heights. LOL weird huh? Crossing fingers that EE is running Monday. pixiedust:

This is all great news! I am sooooo excited about this ride. I first thought I was going to miss it, but with what everyone is saying I am planning my day around it already. Only 3 more days until I am there! :thumbsup2

8 Times!! WOW, you're so lucky. Awesome, awesome. I can't believe the wait isn't much longer. That's strange. But still awesome. I CAN'T WAITTT

Every post I read about EE makes me more excited....come on May!!!!!! :cool1:

It is an awesome ride, but please don't plan your trip around it. I don't want anyone to be disappointed!! For example, it's been open on and off the past few days, but today (from what I heard in africa) it wasn't running at all. I would suggest loosely planning your days, and then checking that morning to find out if the ride will be running. They won't always know, but it never hurts to ask! I've had a few families on safari that were REALLY disappointed that it wasn't open today, and pretty much only planned on coming today to ride that and safaris, but it wasn't open.

ps - i had never seen adventure begins at dak before.. it was so cute! Me and another safari driver got sent to be the rope holders behind the truck this morning.
