Everest Quest

I decided to open the quest again since I made a bunch of credits this morning on HM (gosh I love these fun days ). First place is 4 thousand credits for the fastest climber! Over 10 Grand total in prizes! Good luck to all expedition members!

Over an hour left and the fastest time is just over 8 minutes! Even better than my own test time. Unfortunately, it seems these "winners" are duplicate accounts and aren't necessarily fair. So, to keep things fair, I'd encourage anyone who tries this quest to do so first with a secondary account and then try again with your main. It saddens me to say that, or to endorse such a practice...but, I wanted to give a heads-up, level the playing field and maybe a DIS member can get the credits instead (unless of course the winning mules are already DIS members, lol, then nvm ) In the future, I'll guess I'll just have to make the prizes random. First come, first served with no guarantee of placement. Of course, I'm seeing ways around that too....hmm. Any suggestions?

That is a problem that all quest makers run into over time. I usually plan random prizes with the best prizes being below the first 5 so people don't know what place they are in with regard to the prizes. There will always be people who cheat - it is a sad fact - and the better the prizes, the more the cheaters come out.

Don't let it get to you - just be there for the good people who appreciate your efforts. It takes a lot to run and a good quest - and your quest is great!

Thanks for the encouragement ! I will take your advice and keep the big prizes somewhere past 5th place to keep ppl from trying for a specific prize. That's a great idea, thx! I also like the idea that someone who tries for the first time has just as much a chance as you expert climbers, lol . There'll be alot less pressure to blaze through the quest and allow more time to enjoy it. Hope to see you at the new and improved quest this weekend and thx again!

I did your quest yesterday and I loved the combination of quest and maze, it was really quite a challenge.
Imagine my surprise today to find out I had won 8th place and a prize of life preserver couch.
Woot! I was so tickled .. thank you!
It will look so cool in my Blizzard Beach room
