1. So I'm an over thinker, so I'm just overthinking things for sure, but I'll ask.
I received a web code for Costco which I am a member of, so I'm assuming it's a webcode there's nothing I have to print out for that correct? I also used a visa code, both codes received in the May rental thread, I'm assuming there's nothing needed for that except paying with a Visa card?

2. Anyone have experience with the kiosk? Last time I rented from Alamo it seemed to take longer then I had hoped for, so I'd like to try the kiosk just to try it. We will have an additional driver free from Costco. I've read here they never ask or request the second drivers information, true?

3. I've looked but can't find a good one online, so if anyone can tell me what information they ask for that would be great. I've read people scanning their confirmation in, I'm assuming that's on the paper you. An print out? Anyone know of an app for Alamo? That's easy enough I can check that too.

4.There is a place to. Heck in online, if I don't use this, will we have to go to the desk or can we still use the kiosk?

Sorry for all the questions trying to cover everything In one post

Well I can't answer all your questions, but we used the Alamo Kiosk last August for a car rental that reserved through my Chase Sapphire. We able to use the reservation number on the confirm to check-on line on the Alamo site. I can't remember exactly what we received when checking in online at Alamo but it was something that we able to use very easily at the Kiosk. The Kiosk is inside the airport and not where the rentals cars are located. Typically we are able to go straight to our car bypassing the counter so I was a little concerned how the process would work with the kiosk but the rate was too good to pass up. The process turned out to be quick and easy with no problems at all. Wouldn't hesitate to use this method again.

Hopefully someone with more knowledge and better answers to all your questions will chime in.

Online Check-in is the way to go with Alamo, no counter, no Kiosk, just straight out to the garage to pick a vehicle (see below).

Sign up for the Alamo Insiders club and get your reservation added to your account.
Do the online check-in at home (the day before you leave).
Print the paperwork and take it with you.
When you arrive at the airport, grab your luggage and follow the Alamo signs out to the garage.
Pick a vehicle from the aisle/size of vehicle that you booked.
Load up (keys are in the vehicle) and drive to the exit gate.
Hand the attendant your paperwork, your drivers license and the credit card that you are using.
The attendant will scan the vehicle out and you will be on your way.
Easy Peasy

From my Alamo confirmation with Costco additional free driver included --
● Additional drivers must appear at the rental counter with the primary renter.
● Additional drivers must sign the rental agreement.

If I remember correctly but not 100% certain some third party sites like when we used our Chase Sapphire card won't allow you to enter Alamo info when making the reservation which is why I had to use the kiosk so I could fill out the rest of the information. I think when you check in online it will say if you need to proceed to counter or go directly to the car. Ours said to go to the counter, so we used the kiosk.

Another vote for online check in! Went straight to the parking lot and picked out my vehicle from the available ones in the group I had reserved (minivans) and was on my way. It was quick, simple, painless.

You are able to add the extra driver info during Online Checkin (or at the Kiosk if you prefer).
It has never been required for the 2nd driver to sign the rental agreement, only the person who is using the credit card.
And if you use the Online Checkin or the Kiosk, you don't sign anything (it's all done electronically)

I just did on-line check-in for our Alamo rental tomorrow night and it would NOT allow me to add an extra driver even though it is free with my Costco code. I got an error message which said something like 'security token not found.' I called Alamo and was told that they could add the extra driver info for me BUT we would HAVE TO stop at the rental counter to validate the additional driver (my wife) and thus we cannot bypass the counter or even use a kiosk if we wanted the extra driver added. Very frustrating.

I did online check in last year, and when I arrived at the gate, as we went straight to the cars, I said I wanted to add my DH. Clerk asked for his Driver's License, and within a few minutes, we were off, with both of us listed as drivers. I hope that is as easy for you this year. I also booked via Costco, but last year, both my insider and Costco allowed the free extra driver, and I was never charged an additional driver fee.

Anybody used the online check-in at Car Care center? We've rented at MCO before but are using ME this time so we'll get the car the next day at CCC. From what I read, there are kiosks there but I was wondering if we can do online check-in and skip it all as well :)

Credit card and license of all drivers.

The kiosk will ask if there are additional drivers. If you answer yes, you will need to provide their information. I was able to scan our Ohio drivers license and it pulled all of the information automatically. Didn't have to add it manually. We also used a Costco rate.

I don't think the bar code is always on what we have taken. If you make the rental through Costco Travel, it won't have a bar code. It will have the confirmation number. You can enter that to start the process at the Costco. You might be able to look up the reservation at Alamo.com and e-mail it to you, though I don't know if the email has the bar code either. It doesn't matter really, just have to enter the confirmation number manually.
