ever use a Amer. Exp priority clud rewards card?

We are going in Dec. and I was wondering if anyone has ever used an American Express rewards card to pay for room charges. I have a ton of Priority Rewards points through Holiday Inn. They have an anywhere, anytime hotel reward. They send you a AE card for the amount you puchase with your accumalated ponts.It is supposed to be accepted by "any lodging esablishment that accepts AE".Never done it before but was wondering if anyone else has??? Thanks.

Never used them at DVC. However, I used a pile of these cards to pay for a stay at a JW Marriott in Washington, DC last January. The hotel front desk insisted on collecting the cards at check-in rather than check-out, then took forever to hand-type each $100 card into the system. However, they were accepted at full face value.

My amex is a starwood rewards card so I can't say I have done this(but love using them for starwood hotels all the time-even used the at Swan and Dolphin). but I have used my disney rewards from Dsiney Visa many times at wdw, for everything, paying off expenses at check-out or using as debt card around the "world". Sorry I can't help with the amex rewards.

Does WDW even accept American Express anymore? Once they did the deal with VISA, AE no longer was the favored card for WDW.

I called and yes WDW does still accept American Express.

Yes, I can attest to them taking the AE card, as that is what I used on my trip from 07/11 to 07/18. Sorry though, I never used rewards card there.
