We are contemplating staying at the La Quinta Resorts using our points.

Any advice, suggestions, complaints?

Thanks

I don't think you can use DVC points for a La Quinta stay.

Now you can rent your DVC points then stay there.

I like them - they allows pets. So Spicey gets to stay with me there.

I haven't seen any La Quintas on the exchange list either, and while I think they are nice, I don't think they are the same calibre as DVC. I probably wouldn't want to exchange points for them, but they are usually pretty reasonably priced for a cash stay.

But, I like the fact that they allow you to have your pets there. It is one of the few chains that allow that. It makes traveling with furry companions easier.

The rooms are alway clean and neat. Nothing to the DVC level, but still nice.

LaQuinta ...I see them as a budget hotel..I won't use points there even if I could.

Are you asking specifically about La Quinta Club in California?

I do not know much about the "La Quinta Resort & Club" (from the concierge list), but I have looked at their website....It looks really nice, especially if you like golf or tennis. The points seem really fair for their off-season. The accomodations do look to be rooms, and not villas.

They are your points, Have fun! :sunny:

I think we were all assuming LaQuinta Inns, and those would NOT be worth the points. BTW, I am quite sure La Quinta Club does not allow pets.

I travel for a living and always have the same thought. I hate when My room door opens to the outside. I am not sure about the particular La Quinta you are staying in but the view I have open to the outside (motel) vs to an inside hallway without windows with no one walking by (Hotel)

The DVCmember.com site lists the La Quinta Resort & Club, in La Quinta, California, as part of the Concierge Collection. According to the site, "La Quinta Resort & Club is a legendary hideaway, renowned since 1926 for its charm and serenity."

Some folks on this thread have assumed that the OP was asking about the nationwide La Quinta Inn & Suites chain -- a low-end, limited service motor lodge chain.

Same name. Entirely different class of lodging.

I for one was not familar with the "other" La Quinta. It does look very nice.

I don't know you so maybe you like Motels :confused3

I wasn't judging just stating my point on the infomation I had available...If you had posted a link to the LaQuinta Resort that you were talking about maybe I wouldn't have missunderstood.
