Ever squeeze 3 adults & 2 kids in a value?

If you just had to do this I'd go with the OKW point rental studio idea. You get two queen beds a micro & a fridge. Your cost would be around $80 a night and given you say January there are people with distressed points. If any of your dates includes Jan 16 I'd say you have a problem.

And...if you are going for that long a time will either of you have AP's? The AP rate is $49 for January...I just got it a few days ago for MLKing weekend. If you are staying for a week and not on a package an AP may make a lot of sense. The values have some connecting rooms so you could get two rooms for $100 (maybe).

However, with five people (age 3 or older), you would need to get a two bedroom villa. The occupancy for a studio or one bedroom is four plus one infant under the age of 3.

I am new to all these abbreviations you guys put on here so bare with me.
I am going to WDW Mar 28-apr2

I was planning on staying at one of the value resorts. I can't afford much more.

I have a 7 year old, twins that are 2 and 1 yr old. Would I be able to stay here. I really did want a place with a kitchen, but they are sooo much.

Please help me out!!! PM me if you don't respond here.

You're going to take 4 little kids by yourself, you're brave! I'd want my own vacation after that:) Anyway, technically you have too many people. They don't allow a 5th as an infant in a playpen. And that's assuming you don't even have another adult with you. You'll have to go to POR.

You would be better off with 2 rooms at a value resort. It would be too crowded with 5 ppl in 1 room. You could always stay off site in a suite to save a few $$$.

I would go for two room at the value resort. Five in a room is crowded. We did it for a few days at POR and it was way too crowded. I'll never do it again. I definitely wouldn't try it at a value. Let us know what you decide. :teleport:

Yes, you could stay at a value resort with those 5 people(you, 7, 2, 2, &1...just wanted to be sure Im not missing anyone ;) ). The room occupancy is 4 people PLUS a child under 3 in a crib. However if you have another adult with you, you couldnt have 6 in a value room, even if more than 1 is under 3. Good luck! :)

Welcome to the Dis!

Another idea is to look into the Fort Wilderness cabins. They sleep 6 and have a full kitchen and grill. You could save a lot on food by cooking yourself. If you are driving, you can park your car right at your cabin.

I agree on the close quarters. We had 3 adults and a toddler and we were cramped (but cozy) for our 2 day stay. I mean, all you do in the room is shower get ready for bed.. sleep.. get up.. get ready for the parks head out. But if you cannot make htat work it will be hard. the 5th person will have to find someplace to sleep and I just wouldnt want to be the one on the floor. There is also a fee for extra adults.

My advice, while at POP get adjoining rooms. this could also be fun b/c you can send the 2 kids to bed in their room and you can enjoy the company of your friend. Good luck and have fun! :cool1:

just my opinion but you are nuts taking all those little ones to disney. Disney will be there in a few years when they are a little older. Just from expierence I am saying if you really want to have an enjoyable time wait till the little ones are a bit older! once again just my opinion

If you go to Disneyworld.com and try to book this it will not let you. She can stay at POR and even have another adult, but it won't let you book at any values or any other moderates.

We have annual passes, but I wasn't able to get an extra room at Pop or any of the All stars at the AP rate or POR. The AP rooms seem limited this year. We never have a problem booking an AP rate and we go for 2 weeks twice a year, but I can't afford paying rack rates for my friend. Maybe I will check off property of DVC rentals for her. Thanks to everyone for their input.

You might want to keep trying on your AP reservation. People do cancel so forth and so on. I was very surprised I got it so late but even so I plan to drop Jan 16th if I can get it at Beach Club Villas. One thing I did was ask for any value...nothing specific. At the time they had both preferred and standard. Failing that I'd try mousesavers.com and all 7 of the DTD non-Disney hotels.

I was able to get a good rate of $781.00 w/tax for 7 nights at POR with 3 adults and 2 children.

I just went to Disneys site and got a quote for ASMO for 3 adults and 2 children, 4 & infant, with no problem.
When we did it, it was through DU, which would not have booked it for us if it wasnt allowed. Disney would not have let them book it for us, if it werent allowed. There was no problem when we all arrived at checked in and the CM even waived the extra adult charge for my mother.
Unless something has changed,it was allowed when we did it.

They will let you have 5 in the room if the 5th person is a child under the age of 3 (you said you had 1 infant). Once that 5th person reaches the age of 3 or older, they will no longer allow 5 in a room that only allows 4. When we went to WL in 2002 (which only allows 4 in a standard room) there were 5 of us - my youngest was only 2 - and it was no problem, but now that she's 4 WL standard room is no longer an option for us. (or any values and moderates excluding POR for that matter)

I totally agree. Thats exactly what Ive been saying. The person I was answering(lisa) was asking about themself(1 adult) and 4 kids, 7, 2, 2, & 1, so there were technically 4 people plus an infant. In this thread they were told "They don't allow a 5th as an infant in a playpen." and I was trying to correct that information as I know from experience, they do allow a 5th as an infant. :)

Camcolt is correct. They will allow 5 in a room if one is under age 2 which Lisa's youngest is.

camcolt -
I'm so sorry! I didn't mean to be a busy body - I thought it was you that wanted to know how you were able to get 5 in a room for 4 - I guess that's what I get for not reading all the way through the thread!!

LOL, cepmom. Youre not a busy body. Youre just trying to help, which is the reason we are all here. And you did help, by confirming that info. Thanks! :)

I don't know why, but when I put in 2 adults and 3 kids (my family) it let's us stay there. But if you put in her and her kids it won't.... Odd...
