Years ago, I went alone to the theatre to see the movie The Sixth Sense. The place was empty, except for a guy sitting way on the other side. Midway through the movie, he gets up from his seat, comes over and sits down right next to me. Didn't say a word - just sat there watching the movie. As if The Sixth Sense isn't scary enough by itself, that weirdo had to walk up on me like that! He's lucky I didn't start throwing punches or something. It was so creepy! Needless to say, that movie still scares the heck out of me!

Seven. That movie scared that poo out of me! As soon as I walked out of the theater I went to the movie poster to see who wrote it, because I never wanted to see anything by that writer. It was just too creepy.

I used to be able to tolerate horror movies, but now they all scare the bejebus out of me! I can't even watch or listen to the previews. The ones I especially hate are the satanic ones.

I've seen The Shining at least 25 times, and even though I know what's going to happen, my heart still races and jumps.

Psycho. That one stayed with me the longest of any scary movie.

Maybe the dude just liked you and was trying to get the courage to ask you for a date!!! Just kidding, that was def a little weird. But to your question, I'm an indy filmaker so its tough to really scare me for real, 'cause I always know its just a movie. But the closest I've come too, is yes the Shining, but probably more the Exorcist.

The new one looks great, Im going to rent it later and try and scare myself. The whole thought of possession and real demons kinda scares me.

Has anyone seen the new Exocist? Is it good? Thanks.

The Exorcist was the worst :scared1: . Poltergiest and Amittyville Horror freak me out but they're also two of my favorite movies to watch around Halloween.

I watched it at home. When it ended, I literally felt like throwing up. :sad2: :sad2: It's one sick movie!

OP, I'm sorry, but I had to laugh at your story. :bitelip: I think I would have left. :teeth: Maybe the guy was afraid. :teeth: :teeth:

The Skeleton Key is still with me and I saw it last year. I can't look in any mirror if I have to get up in the night.
I used to love scary movies as well!

almost all of them. I cant stand horror movies. My brother used to make me watch them when I was a young teen. Darn near scarred me for life! :rotfl: :rotfl:

I use to love to watch scary movies. I would even watch them home alone for the extra thrill. BUt now evrything scares me. I think Pet Cemetary or Nightmare on Elm Street scared me the most. I don't know any of hte newer movies since I haven't seen them, I did watch Sixth Sense but I didn't find it too scary.

 popcorn:: how about Phantasom??? my spelling is proably off......saw that as a kid....scary...........

Oooh - that's a good one! Anyone know if they still have the Bates' mansion at Universal? Mrs. Bates Skeleton in the rocking chair is on display at Planet Hollywood Vegas.

The Shining is one of my favorite movies! Talk about spooky! One of the spookiest scenes - The ghosts of the murdered twins standing in the hallway ... begging Danny to "Come play with us." Spooky!
Stephen King's story of the Overlook Hotel is based on a real hotel called the Stanley, which is said to be haunted. Stephen King supposedly witnessed paranormal activity there himself.
