Ever picked up prepared meals?

Hi,

Our family reunion begins next Saturday at OKW ..16 of us will be arriving from Alaska to Vermont .. We plan to spend our first evening together at the Grand Villa, but I'm a bit leary that the villa will not be ready until 4 or after and we will not have enough time to prepare a meal for everyone ...so I was wondering if anyone out there has any suggestions for take out options near OKW that we might be able to order and pick up ..or perhaps they deliver..

Open to any type of food ..Just want it to be convenient and near OKW ..we will have a van, so we would be able to drive and pick it up.

Has anyone had any luck getting into a grand villa before 4 PM ..I'm sure it's quite a cleaning job for mouse keeping to turn these units over after the last guests.

(16 are not staying in teh Grand Villa ..we also have 3 studios at OKW..)

The Publix or Winn Dixie isn't too far away, and their deli has all sort of prepared foods. We've gotten the whole chickens and salads etc.

Have a wonderful time! The one and only time we tried a buffet for 8 people,
on our first night, my Dis brought food from home...packed and brought on the plane, including ribs that we just heated up. We bought cold things, salads, meats from the Winn Dixie, and that was fine. We (2) were in a studio and we brought the others from Pop.

We like Publix deli food, but it is a little further than Winn Dixie. Never tried WD stuff. Goodings is close but more expensive and not as much choice, IMHO.

For a group that large, you might want to check out something like Super Suppers or another meal prep place. Most of them have an option for you to be able to have the employees make the meals for you and you just pick them up. You can just heat them, add a salad or other sides and have a great dinner!

Hi Peggy,

Never tried it. But Picabu's at the Swan or the Dolphin, never can remember which one, has family meals available for takeout.
