I have a serious cougar crush on Edward from Twilight. It's ok though, cuz he's really 108, in a 17 y.o. body (which works for me ).

I also had a major crush on Henry when I read The Time Traveler's Wife.

My Gilbert from Anne of Green Gables crush was in middle/high school, but I still love some of his qualities and have sought some of them out in a potential mate as an adult. My current BF does have some of them but he also has additional wonderful qualities of his own. I don't think there's anything wrong with getting some idea of what you'd want or not want in a real mate from a fictional character as long as you remember that they don't usually show the worst parts of someone's character in a book like that.
