It wasn’t just the rotary phone. It was having a combination of letters and numbers. We definitely had the folding chairs - all green though if I recall. We had the chopper too. We did not have a kitchen table set like that...but my great grandparents did - in red! I don't remember having a rotary phone in our house, but I was very familliar with them and knew how to use it.
Speaking of the lawn chairs, remember the lounger versions that folded up in in thirds?
As kids, we would fold those up so the two ends pointed straight up, drape towels across the top and create our own personal forts at the pool!Speaking of the lawn chairs, remember the lounger versions that folded up in in thirds?
I still remember that the packing and "get ready instructions" for my summer camp included the words, "Get a good base tan before you come so you avoid sunburn. And bring Solarcaine in case you do." Not a peep about, you know, sunscreen. Man you would be so sued for that today!absolutly! very popular to set up in the back yard where you would lounge slathered in j&j baby oil b/c 'it's healthy to have a nice deep tan'![]()
