Ever get a big windfall from a pricing error?

Wow! Best I ever received was at a Food Lion in Chatham, VA, back in the early 1990's. Breyers 1/2 gallons (back when they were REALLY 1/2 gallon) were marked at 5 for $5. Shoulda been 2/$5. Right as we checked out, someone was called to meet the manager in frozen foods...

So not life-changing, but it made a difference at a time we didn't have a lot of expendable funds.

Not from a pricing error, but from massive clearance price on items and using a coupon.

Ann Taylor Loft. Purchased earring sets & ring sets for my daughter and teenage nieces. Retail was $34.50. Final Sale Clearance took it to $6.75. On top of that I had a 40% off coupon making them $4.05 a set. My daughter wears the jewelry a lot. I don't see my nieces often enough to know it they like them as much as dd. But for $4 a set, I took my chances.

I think you hit on one of the situations that makes it immoral in my opinion. If you buy to resell I think that is taking too much advantage of the situation.

Totally agree. I could never do that -- I wouldn't be able to sleep at night. I only bought what I knew I would use. I've been in the situation of needing financial help from social service agencies for a few years of my life (thanks to my then husband deciding he was tired of being married and just packing up and moving out leaving me with no money and two kids) and I've been volunteering at a social service agency for over 10 years now. It makes me sick to see people hoarding a bargain knowing they won't use the stuff and are just buying it for resale purposes while there are so many people out there who *need* those bargains.
