Ever, Ever After: The TR Formerly Known as Wishing You Were Here- May 2011

How sad that your trip is at the end, but it's nearly time for the next one already! :thumbsup2

Carter is too cute behind bars with Zurg! I love how he called out the characters, especially saying goodbye to Nana. My boys have always shouted "Come on, Nana!" to her like Michael does in the movie. :rotfl: Someday she'll be untied and get to fly along, right? ;)

I can't wait to hear about your next visit!

Awww too bad your trip had to come to an end so quickly, but you are so close to the October trip :cool1:

Yay! for such a great night in the MK! :yay: Sounds like y'all had so much fun riding the rides with the boys.

I hate the leaving part, it always makes me sad. But, at least your next trip is coming up soon! Will you write a TR for it? If so, please let me know. I'd love to read it. I want to hear all about F&W & MNSSHP....I'm doing my research for next October!

Kate, I am so sad the tirp is over. But the boys got on some rides and enjoyed themselves (and I'm glad they liked the Teacups...maybe a "little" spinning this time?).

Just think, although you didn't get an "extra day", now that your TR is about over, your next trip is almost here. :goodvibes

Sounds like you packed a lot into your last evening even if you didnt' do everything taht was on your list- there's always the trip that's just around the corner now to hit those up!! :thumbsup2

What a great TR!:cool1:
The caramel bar and Tonga Toast both look delicious!
I have never had the Tonga Toast and really want to try it when we are there next June.
Does it have banana in it??
The boys are absolutely adorable!
Can't wait to read your TR for your October trip.
You all will love MNSSHP!
Amy

A few rope drop questions- How early is too early to get to the parks? What is the ideal time to arrive? Is it possible to let 2 well behaved toddlers out of the stroller to play while we wait or would they be trampled by the rest of the crowd? Generally speaking, is it better to get a Fastpass first or to ride first?

Love the shirts! They are so cute. If Target still has them when I go tomorrow I'm thinking Henry will also have one!

You can definitely let the boys out of the stroller while waiting for RD at MK. At DHS it gets REALLY crowded; however, if you go to the left, instead of straight in front of the hat, you will have a bit more space AND be ahead of most of the crowd. :thumbsup2

"Landon, we don't touch people we don't know while we're waiting in line. Or ever, actually. That's a good general rule for you. You don't touch people you don't know."

The lady turned around to see who had grabbed her shirt.

"It was him. Sorry about that."

"Why? I loved it. He's adorable. Nothing to be sorry about."

It was very kind of the lady to say so, but Landon turned to me to gloat. Clearly, I had been wrong and he had been right and we do touch people we don't know and then they're our new friends and talk to us.

:rotfl: Just figures, right? How nice of the lady though...he's adorable, how could anyone ever be upset? :cutie:

Sorry to hear about the awful traffic jam. We too have been stuck in those. UGH. However, after you got through - what a fun night! A perfect way to end the trip.

I always say "Bye Nana" on Peter Pan's Flight too  that ride!

Peter Pan's Flight is one of my favorites, especially now that I have my boys to enjoy it with. It was so much fun to hear Carter talking during the ride.

i wish you had stayed two more days- because that's when we got there.
seriously though, I just love Peter Pan and we usually start and end the trip with that. oh, and i would be proud of Carter too! Disney vocabulary is very important.

We missed you by only two days? I somehow hadn't realized our trips were that close. We should have stayed longer.:rotfl:
Peter Pan's Flight is a great way to start and end a trip. I wish we could manage to ride it more often, but the lines are a frequent deterrent. Carter's got a great Disney vocabulary going. I think he'll love Disney even more this trip.

How nice of Zurg to observe Mother's Day. I guess even evil space emperors love their mommies.

 I thought that sign was pretty cool. I bet some CM had fun making that.

What a fun night in MK! :) Glad the boys liked the tea cups, I wasn't brave enough to go on them til last November! :rotfl:

Winnie the Pooh seems like such a great ride to take kids on, I love that Carter knows the characters! :thumbsup2

Peter Pan's Flight is always so much fun!

Yay for October trips! Especially ones that start in 2 weeks and 2 days! :dance3:

It was a really fun way to end our trip. I think I've got myself a couple of future thrill riders. I've never known Carter or Landon to be scared of a ride yet. Although Carter has been known to complain loudly on It's a Small World. :rotfl:

Winnie the Pooh is so much better for little kids than Mr. Toad's Wild Ride would have been. It's fun to ride with the boys and see them looking at all the characters they know.

I'm glad we got a chance to ride Peter Pan's Flight before the park closed. We all love that ride!

I'm getting so incredibly excited about the trip!! Two weeks from tomorrow! That's no time at all. I'm actually doing really well with organization and I think there's a slight chance that I won't be running around like crazy the day before the trip.

Such a bittersweet end to your day at MK. Lots of fun memories made, but there's still that black cloud of having to leave hanging over you. As much fun as the boys were having, I'm sure the October trip will be amazing. And Landon will finally be able to get behind bars with Zurg.:lmao:

I still think it is awesome that you guys got to sneak an extra weekend at WDW in there though. It has to make it at least a little easier to leave when you know you'll be back in just a few months.

I always hate the last day of a trip and yet, at the same time, the last night is always a ton of fun. Every second somehow seems more precious and vivid, because I know it's all about to be over. I think our October trip will be awesome. Now that they're both a little older, it should be even more fun. And I'll definitely let Landon get behind bars with Zurg. That'll be cute.

It really was nice that we got an extra weekend when we hadn't planned on going back until now. It did make it easier to leave, knowing we'd have a longer trip coming up. Maybe I should always have at least two trips booked at all times.

It really is bittersweet, those last few moments at MK. Seeing and hearing about how excited your boys were at MK really gets me excited to take Meadow for the first time in just 15 days  Maybe we will see you there.

I bet Meadow will have a blast! I can't wait to see how Carter and Landon are this trip. I'm sure it'll be a lot of fun. I'd be surprised if we didn't run into you at some point. I can't wait for it to get here!:yay:

The end of a wonderful trip is always so bittersweet...but it isn't goodbye...it is see you real soon!

I am excited for you to see all of the fabulous fall decorations in October!!!! I know you will love it!

See you real soon sounds so much nicer than goodbye! :rotfl: At least this time, we really will see them real soon.

I'm so looking forward to seeing all of the fall decorations. I can't believe I've never done a fall trip before, but I've always loved Disney at Christmas, so I guess it kind of makes sense that I'd skip over fall and wait for Christmas. It'll be so cool to see all the fall stuff out this year!

So sad that your trip is over but you are almost to the next one! Disney in the fall is just amazing it is my favorite time of year to go.. I love the decorations as I am sure you and the boys will enjoy them too! Can't wait to get there... single digit countdown is only a few hours away! Maybe I'll see you down there lol. You TR have inspired me to do a TR when we return!

So sad that it is over, but I can't wait to read about your October trip....especially with Landon being able to walk now!

I had not realized our dates were so close either until you said mothers day. We arrived the Tuesday after.

I love the fall decorations. And I bet you guys will too. Of course, I'm probably biased. Chris, Maya, and James all had their first wdw trips at Halloween time. In fact, I think the fact that Halloween is Chris' favorite holiday may have helped in my quest to turn him into a Disney addict. Maya's first trip to DL was in October too.

The timing of these trips is going to work out just right, I guess! :rotfl: I thought this TR would go faster, but it's been really nice to have it going throughout most of the wait for the next trip.

Thanks! I think going behind bars with Zurg may be Carter's favorite thing at Disney World. That's nice, that your boys say "Come on, Nana!" I always feel a little sorry for Nana, left behind while they all go to Neverland.

I can't wait to go on our next visit! I think it's going to be a lot of fun this time.

Awww too bad your trip had to come to an end so quickly, but you are so close to the October trip :cool1:

If a short trip has to end, it's always nice to have another trip lined right up. October is coming up so fast, too. :woohoo:

Yay! for such a great night in the MK!

We did have a lot of fun that night. It'll be one of those times that we'll always look back on and remember just how much fun it was being there with our boys.

I hate the leaving part, too. I've noticed all these trip reports end the same way, with the trip ending and the people going home sadly. :rotfl: I do plan on writing a TR for our October trip and I'll be sure to let you know when I start it. I can't wait to experience F&W and MNSSHP!

:goodvibes

The boys did have a great last night, going on the rides. I think maybe next time we'll let them do a little spinning. I'm even considering letting them go on the Astro Orbiter. That's one of my favorites and I haven't been on it since before we had kids.

I suppose it's really just as well that I didn't get that extra day...if I had I'd never be able to finish this TR before my next trip. :rotfl:

Sounds like you packed a lot into your last evening even if you didnt' do everything taht was on your list- there's always the trip that's just around the corner now to hit those up!! :thumbsup2

I knew there was no way we'd ever finish everything I hoped to do, because even if we had, I'd still want to do them all again a second time! We did get a lot done in a short amount of time that night, though and we had a lot of fun. And we have a whole new trip just waiting for us. :yay:

What a great TR!:cool1:
The caramel bar and Tonga Toast both look delicious!
I have never had the Tonga Toast and really want to try it when we are there next June.
Does it have banana in it??
The boys are absolutely adorable!
Can't wait to read your TR for your October trip.
You all will love MNSSHP!
Amy

Thanks!
I can't wait to get another Chewy Caramel Bar! The Tonga Toast is really good, too, but it is stuffed with bananas. I like bananas and I sort of figure that since there's fruit in it, then the Tonga Toast is not completely nutritionally void.
Thank you! I'm very fond of my boys.
I'm so excited to go on our October trip! It'll be so much fun and I'm sure we will love MNSSHP. I love MVMCP and everyone says the Halloween one is better. The headless horseman sounds awesome!

:thumbsup2

Sorry to hear about the awful traffic jam. We too have been stuck in those. UGH. However, after you got through - what a fun night! A perfect way to end the trip.

I thought those shirts were really cool, especially for Disney boys. I hope your Target has them tomorrow. I bet Henry would love a Pirate Mickey shirt!

The boys will love rope drop if it means playing out of the stroller. Thanks for the tip for DHS! I know the boys would like to ride Toy Story Mania as often as they can, but the things I've heard about that rope drop stampede are kind of scary.

On the one hand, it was really nice of that lady to pay so much attention to Landon, since he loved it and he was happy through the whole line and ride. On the other hand, it did undermine the whole don't touch people you don't know rule. Oh, well. Landon is a cutie. :)

The traffic jam was miserable, but after that, the rest of our night was so much fun. We really went on a ton of rides, considering how much time we had. I couldn't have asked for a better ending to the trip.

I didn't want this TR to come to an end, but now you're so close to your October trip!! :)

What a wonderful last night! I'm happy that you got to see Wishes while walking into Fantasyland- that is really magical!

I haven't taken Everett on the teacups yet, but if Carter and Landon did well and enjoyed it, I'll have to add that attraction to the list!

I am sorry this TR has to come to an end- but it is just in time for your next TR!

I am so sad your trip is over, but thankfully your next trip is right around the corner. I can't wait to hear all about your next trip now that Landon is walking. It should make things a bit easier.

I'm getting so incredibly excited about the trip!! Two weeks from tomorrow! That's no time at all. I'm actually doing really well with organization and I think there's a slight chance that I won't be running around like crazy the day before the trip.

2 weeks from today!!! :yay: :woohoo:

Ugh I feel so NOT organized! But I can't pack until the day before, the most I can do is organize like, our toiletries and everything, and I can't even do that now, because we still have to go shopping for them! Hopefully this weekend we will do that! I had to take the day before we leave off from work because that is packing and running around like a crazy person day, it's just unavoidable with me! But I'm really looking forward to it! :cool1:

So sad that your trip is over but you are almost to the next one! Disney in the fall is just amazing it is my favorite time of year to go.. You TR have inspired me to do a TR when we return!

It's amazing how fast this next trip has come up! When I was leaving the MK that night, I thought October seemed so far away, yet here it is, almost. I can't wait to see all of the decorations and get the boys' picture with some fall things. I can't wait to get there, too. You'll probably see us, we'll be the ones with the big double stroller. Let me know when you start your TR! :)

So sad that it is over, but I can't wait to read about your October trip....especially with Landon being able to walk now!

Landon being able to walk should make this trip so much easier! I was telling Jeremy that we'd want to try to let the boys run around a lot while we're in WS and he pointed out that last year, Landon still couldn't walk. This time, Landon will walk all over the place!

That really was close! We drove home Monday.

I'm all ready to love the fall decorations. It'll be so much fun to go to MNSSHP and dress up and see the parade and fireworks and go trick or treating. Carter can say trick or treat, now, although whether he'll say it to strangers is another question entirely. It'll be fun either way!

I've been away so long, it looks like the trip has ended.:sad2: It definitely ended on a good note, and the place that I love ending every trip!

I cannot believe your October trip is in 13 days!!! Jeez, that means that my trip is 30 days from today!!:scared1: I have so much to do!!

Love the halloween t-shirts, and the pictures of the boys! They have grown so much since the May trip. It also looks like Landon has gotten that walking thing down? Way to go, buddy! Madelyn still hasn't, not so much. She does take a few steps and then, plop, on her booty.

I hope you will start a TR for October!

I cannot believe i got so far behind but i finally finished and looks like just in time for your next trip! I probably wont be back till so have a great time and I love your report as always!

Aw! I'm so sad it's over!!! But the timing is great with another trip 1.5 weeks away!!! I can't wait to see some Landon walking pictures!
