Ok, I see a lot of people seem to be happy with a trip or two a year! I have gone at least 5 times every year since 1997. I have already been 5 times this year and have 2 more trips before 2012.

I just bought into DVC, and I am thinking that buying DVC is actually going to help my addiction!! I can now plan on my points and have it dictate how many times I want to go!!

has anyone else suffered from this? lol It has been quite pricey!! and it is sad to say that buying, and then buying direct is so much cheaper then what I have paid!!

My DH has always supported my suggestions for add ons. We have added on over 15 times since we joined in '03! I find the contract, and he finds a way to pay for it. I don't think that buying "keeps the addiction in check."

I thought that I was the DVC addict, but I just got off the phone with DH. It seems we are in the market for a new car and he told me to think about a license plate for it. He definitely wants "DVC" in the mix somehow!

Meanwhile, I no longer look at retail sites and since I'm not about to pay DVC direct prices, I think I've at least put a temporary stop to buying points. Aulani looks so beautiful, but we're at an age that the flights would be too hard on us. Hawaii may be the one place that we did go to that we say to ourselves "Been there, done that!" The Caribbean is so much closer to us and has a beautiful National Park on St. John that for us, is a very good substitute for Hawaii.

I think buying in to DVC has actually made our addiction for Disney worse lol. I thought about Disney a lot before buying and now IT'S ALL I THINK ABOUT ! We went from being one trip every 2 year people to 3 trips just this year people. We're in the process of our 1st add on too. So I think it might make the addiction to go worse lol. Or at least in our case it has because now even my husband comes home and starts looking up times of the year he wants to go LOL. He use to just leave that stuff to me!

I have this light that goes on every May or June where I can't get enough
about Disneyworld. I received an email about BLT price increase and I had to
call about. When 3 months prior My wife and had an in depth discussion and we decided that we have plenty of points to do what we want.
I hate to say it but I strongly believe that they are using subliminals. I remember when we where on Our honeymoon and stayed at Grand Floridian in 1996. Every day the housekeepers would open the armoire, when It we would close it before leaving the room. Then during an afternoon nap I opened my eyes and saw something on the TV but the power was off. Yes OFF.
I wasn't dreaming it was real.
I can't explain it nor can I explain the urge to go to disney every year.

Just the transportation costs of going 5 times a year makes my heart skip a beat. Maybe now that you are member you'l see that going less frequently but for a longer period of time works really well. I think that is best thing I've learned since joining the DVC. I love my 10 days at WDW even though it's only twice a year.

Buying DVC has made it worse for us. Instead of going once a year for a week now we also go for a long weekend. And to make it easier we just added on more points. For ten years I tried to get my husband to buy DVC and now he can't stop!

We love our DVC. If we had more money, we'd do more add-ons.

Thanks!! Well, I first bought at SSR, and before it closed I changed to AKV and increased my points. I am heading down in 10 days staying at the BLT. I also have the last week set at the VWL in Oct/Nov!! The last week of Oct will be my 36 trip to Disney, and I have never been this time of the year!! So I am excited about the MNSSHP!!!

I know I should have bought a long, long time ago. My longest stay at Disney has been for one month. I now cringe thinking about how much I spent, at Poly, YC, BWI and BWV (club level) for a month!! I could of had many points for what I spent!!
But what is done, is done. Now I will just enjoy what I have!! I have to admit thou I want Aulani points!!
