Ever Book Teacher's Rate at S/D Then Get a Better Discount Later??

I've taken advantage of the Teacher's Rate at S/D numerous times and have an Oct. ressie of $169 for mid Oct. Is it worth it to me to keep checking for a better rate between now and then? I've booked the rate in the past and checked later to find it not available any more, or still offered but higher, but I've never seen it go down. Should I just move on to hunting for other Disney related bargains or is there a chance S/D will offer my dates for even less at some point?
