Help - has anyone ever realized too late that they had points ready to expire before they could squeeze another trip in - I called to make a reservation for quick 2 night trip in March (thinking the points I had were going to expire by the end of March) and to my surprise the CM was very apologetic but informed me that they actually expire in 5 days at the end of FEb. I am sooo disappointed - has anyone ever tried to get soon to be expired points extended into the next month ? I know this is my fault for not being more aware but I was just wondering if they've ever been known to bend the rules

Not going to happen unless you find another way to use them. You can put them in RCI maybe, but my guess is you don't have enough points left for that. Next time be sure you watch your banking windows and know your contracts. Sounds like you have a March use year (as I do), so your points go from March 1-Feb. 28 each year.

MS does have the ability to create some magic for DVC members at times. If this is simply a case where you missed the banking deadline, I would call again and plead your case - they do have an unpublished-double-secret-once-in-a-lifetime-exemption they are able to invoke (but please don't tell anyone else about this ;) ) for banking situations, but I don't recall them able to be as generous regarding an extension for unbankable points.

Good luck!

Yes, I had to utilize my special-once-in-a-lifetime exemption myself, I think when the banking windows changed...I was confused! They were very nice and told me that they would restore them, "just this once!!":dance3: I'm sure they make note of it!!

Maybe you could rent them out instead; at least they wouldn't be wasted completely. If WDW is full someone might be interested in a weekend at HH (easier reservation to get this time of year). Good luck!
