So for something different this trip and to avoid the heat (not to mention getting to sleep late), we want to tour only after 4pm.

I need a little help though since we usually arrive at RD break for lunch then tour again but leave before close. Throw in FP+ and I'm at a loss.

2 nights each MK, E, & HS. 1 day AK (followed by a grown-ups night out)

Advice please

Id just do a personalized touring plan with touring plans would probably helo you can pick attractions add in adrs etc.

This would be my plan:

Pre-book 3 FP+ back to back starting at around 3:30 and plan to enter the first near the end of the 1 hour window. At the end of the 3rd, at least try to book a 4th for later in the evening. Once that riding is over, I would plan to break for dinner. Since you are planning multiple evenings in each park (except AK), I would plan to stay on 1/2 of the park during each visit (including the meal choice) and not bounce around.

For late entry into AK, you need to plan ahead what shows you might want to see and if you want to ride Safari's. These will limit your choices as most of these will be completely done by 6pm or earlier depending on the time of year. Because AK can also close earlier (again depending on time of year and if there is EMH), I would probably plan to eat flanking my visit to the park and not use park time to eat, since you only have the one visit. So for example the park closes at 8pm, I would eat at 3pm, tour starting at 4pm, then plan a late dinner for 8:30pm. We really do love late touring of AK because the big headliners can be ridden over and over again an hour before closing.

You did not happen to mention if you were staying onsite and if you could utilize EMH. If you cannot, at least look at what days they are on so you can avoid that park altogether that day (even if it was morning EMH). If you can use evening EMH, embrace it to the fullest and plan to shut the place down sometime between 11pm and 3am, again depending on time of year. You can sleep in the next morning and start touring the next evening at 4pm.

Have a great trip.
