Anyone have some very recent reports on evening EMH in any of the parks? I've read so many varying reports and evidently there are many factors that can effect the crowd size. I heard from one source that lines were short in MGM at midnight last night (WED, 14-June). We will visit WDW next week and are considering working evening EMH visits into our plans. I'm interested to hear what the waiting times are like during the more crowded times of the year (i.e. right now).

We did EMH in Epcot last Thurs, but left by 11 - one problem was that TT was down all day (and night) and they close Universe of Energy at 7 - the orange line at M:S remained at about 1 hour while we were there, the green line was a 10 min wait the first time we rode, walk on a little later. Don't know what the lines at Soarin were, it was so mobbed around the Land that we didn't bother (we knew we could ride in Calif in 2 months)- and the line for Living w/the Land was huge. We waited about 15 min for Norway, American Adventure was our last and the theater was about 1/3 full. DNeph was trying to finish up his countries passport and we had no problem getting to the CMs at the Kidcot stops.
Spoke with a family on Mon who did late EMH at MK on Sunday night (11-2AM)- they stayed the whole time and said it was crowded the first hour, then less than 20 mins for everything they did - they rode Splash 4 times walk-on at the end. Best thing about Evening EMH in the summer - not as HOT !!! :smooth:

We just returned late last night. Our plan this trip was to go against EMH, and it worked beautifully. I used the best/worst days guide on touringplans.com. We were able to get so much done with very little wait. We have decided that going against EMH works best for us. We did try a MK and Epcot EMH and the crowds were way too big. 20-30 minute waits aren't bad during the day, but when you only have 3 extra hours at night that kind of wait limits the amount of rides you can do. The best part of EMH in summer is the cooler nights. What worked best for us was to get to the park at opening, stay until 1 or so, back to the Fort for a swim and rest, then in to park for the evenings.

I wish they'd bring back E Ticket nights. For the price of a wristband we literally walked on all the rides we wanted. No strategies were needed. We just went and had fun!!

Yes that was nice, wasn't it? :guilty: I am trying some EMH nights next month just to avoid some of the mid-day sun. The beauty of summer is that EMH is open very late. If you have enough energy to stick it out until the end, you should do great. I plan to rest during the afternoon.

We did an EMH evening at the Magic Kingdom... I can't remember the date, but it was the first week of June.

It was awesome! The park was open until 2 am. It wasn't packed at all. After Wishes we made our way to Adventureland, and by the time we arrived at the Jungle Cruise there was no line at all. We got right on that, went over and did Aladdin a few times in a row and then headed to Fantasyland to do all the rides we didn't want to wait for in the heat of the day: Snow White, Peter Pan, Winnie the Pooh, and Dumbo over and over again. :)

I'm sure it depends completely on who is in your party and what rides you're wanting to get on, but if you have a small child it is a wonderful time to go. I had worried about keeping DD up so late, but we ended up having the best time. We felt like we had the best rides to ourselves, and had a magical time hanging out together! We felt the pixie dust that night! :goodvibes Probably also helps that we're used to mountain time, so it didn't feel that late to us!

We used E-Ticket night on several occasions and had good luck on all but one visit. This one particular visit (March Spring Break), MK was packed during the evening before E-night began and also during the E-night time period. There were a lot of cheerleader groups there. I had read that the number of available E-night passes were limited back then, but it didn't appear so that time.
