1. In general, yes.
2. Yes.

The highest concentration of guests will be at Soarin', Test Track, and now, Frozen Ever After.

In my experience, and I usually go at the end of September, I make it a point to go during EMH because I found the crowds lightened up quite a bit, especially after Illuminations. Of course, this was 3 years ago before FEA and the new Soarin so that might make a big difference. I'm curious about how it is now as well.

When Epcot has a late EMH we've noticed a lot more people take advantage of so many restaurants and head in for dinner, then stay at least until Illuminations. Thins out a little after the first hour and the Illuminations crowd has left. With the new Future World attractions might not thin out much now though.

Once they get the non-resort guests out, it's not terrible. But that takes a good hour or two. Epcot, in general, handles crowds better than any other park.

While that's true, (and matters in much of the World Showcase "countries") a greater concern is about the crowds standing in the attraction lines.
Epcot has so few headliner rides (and no FP used during EMH,) that the standby lines can fill quite easily.

BTW, if it takes a good hour or two to empty the park of non-resort guests, the EMH will be about over.
PM EMH only runs 2 hours... from 9PM until 11PM... and IllumiNations takes up the first 15+ min. of that time, already.

After illuminations it empties out pretty good. We find emh in the evenings to be quite lovely.

thank you all for the feedback. I was debating if I should schedule Epcot evening (only have enough time to visit Epcot from 4pm-closing). I have thought about going on a night when there is evening EMH. But since my kids cannot stay up late as well as all of your feedback, I will just schedule my Epcot night on a regular night with the hope to have less crowd in the park..

just wondering ( and I do not mean to take away form the OP) but how do they get non resort guest out is it like at the other parks they just can not get in lines for rides and they can stay to shop ( I am asking since I am going for food and wine)

1. They don't (at any of the parks) get non-WDW resort guests "out" of the park for PM EMH.
2. Yes. Guests must scan their resort MagicBands or tickets at each ride entrance.
3. Yes.
4. If it's like previous years, the F&W booths are not open for PM EMH.
