EVCs at POR and BWV

i have a question. Going with family to WDW next March. There will be 10 of us. Staying first at POR in four different rooms, then over at BWV in a 2 bedroom villa and a studio. i recall seeing, last time we were at BWV, that some people parked their ECVs in the hallway, close to the wall, and plugged them into outlets there to charge overnight. My sister and i are thinking of doing that, to free up room in the villa. Is that okay? Should we ask first? i don't want to count on that then not be able to do it.

Then at POR, my husband and i will have our own room. Wondering if it will be big enough for the scooter inside. We will be staying in the Alligator Bayou section. Or i wonder if the resort has alternate places to store them overnight, like maybe with Bell Services.

Hoping to hear from others with experience or knowledge on this. Thanks so much!

The POR room is large enough for at least one ECV. I wouldn't ever suggest leaving an expensive piece of [mobility] equipment in a hotel hallway overnight.

Glad there will be enough room at POR for the scooties in our rooms. We will need to do something at BWV. There is no way we can have two scooties in there with someone trying to sleep in the pull-out in the living room. Maybe Bell Services can hold and charge them overnight. But honestly, i think they would be safe in the hallway if we take our key. i doubt another disney guest would try to wheel it out and down the elevator. Plus, when i spoke with Buena Vista scooters last time, they said they have never had a scooter stolen at DisneyWorld.

I agree, it's unlikely Bell Services will store and charge the ECVs every night. It's inconvenient for you as well, unless you were to pick up and drop off when there aren't slews of guests with luggage.
Theft wouldn't be my only, or even primary, concern. There's vandalism, kids could treat it like a toy and get hurt, someone could trip on it... You should be able to charge one right inside the door, and the other one between the tv and the sliding doors.

Just to add, if an ecv was my means of getting around the park, I don't know if I would trust it outside my room. Bell Services could accidentially unplug it (leaving you with less than a full charge) if they are even willing to take it. Leaving it outside leads to similar concerns. If a kid is climbing on it, he could break something or unplug it.
I would find a way to have it in your room even if it means asking for a table or chair to be removed.

It occurred to me that i could just ask Disney. :) Sent an email just now and will post when i hear back. The other option, which might be possible, is to store them overnight with the Buena Vista Scooter Rental kiosk, which is located right in front of the Boardwalk Villas. i know we *might* be able to keep them in the room overnight, but would love another option.

When we go to Disneyland, we stay at the Candy Cane Inn. They use a scooter rental company, so we get our scooters right there. They don't allow scooters in the rooms, as inexperienced riders were causing too much damage. So you turn your key in at the end of the day, they charge them overnight for you, then pick up your key on the way out the next morning. It was very convenient.
