I have Chronic Bronchitis and am pretty sure I will need an ECV for our next visit. I was wondering which providers deliver to resort. Do I need to be present at drop off. Do any have extra EVC in the parks in case my chair breakdowns. Any advice will surely be appreciated. Been to the world many times but first time in an EVC. I have used them at Walmart a few times with ankle injury.

The following ECV providers are "Disney approved providers" who can drop them off to your Disney resort without you having to be present for drop off or pick up (a huge convenience, as you operate on your own schedule, not theirs). They will leave it for you at Bell Services.

Other providers can arrange a drop-off/pick up from a Disney resort, but you would have to schedule it with them, as they would not be allowed to leave it at Bell Services.

I rented one for my elderly mother on our recent January trip. We used CARE Scooter Rentals (also called CARE Medical), and had an excellent experience. Perfect scooter was waiting for us at Bell Services upon our arrival at the resort. The Bell Services attendant gave us the paperwork to sign & the key, and showed my mother the simple steps to operate the ECV. ECV functioned perfectly throughout the trip and charged nightly in our room. We left it at Bell Services right before going to our Magical Express bus waiting area. It was affordable, as well. Would book from them again in a heartbeat.

I strongly recommend advance booking an ECV for your entire stay, rather than trying to snag one at the parks. The park ECVs are bulkier and slower than other ECVs, and supply is limited. Also, a lot of walking would be required from transportation to the parks and at the spacious Disney resorts. The process of renting/returning them at the parks would also cut into your park time a bit.

Post #2 of the disABILITIES FAQs thread pinned near the top of this forum has information about ECV rentals. Sue has included the "featured" vendors (who are allowed to utilize Bell Services at the resorts) as well as reviews of some non-featured vendors who will meet you personally to deliver the ECV.

Enjoy your vacation!

These Featured (not anything-approved) companies are designated as such solely because they pay a fee to Disney for the services of Bell Services. Continuing to use the word 'approved' when Disney no longer does implies undeserved negativity about many excellent companies.

Totally agree with kaytieeldr! Walker Mobility is not on the list and they have been around 20+ years with great scooters and very inexpensive.
