Anyone know when I can book Eurostar direct tickets for 30th November - 5th December 2014, I have been told January 2014 by one person and August 2014 by another so I'm confused!

Hi,

No expert in this matter (or more others!), but I think it's about 3 months prior to the departure date.

Certainly when starting to plan my December 2013 trip back in July, Eurostar were not offering my dates. I think it was nearly September before my dates become available from the Eurostar website.

That's odd. I remember a post on here in early August saying if you rang Eurostar tickets were now available from 10th December 2013 to 10th July 2014. I presumed they released the tickets twice a year and as we want to go just before the December cut off we were hoping they would be available in the next batch.
I hope it's before September or I will be worrying they sell out lol!

Indirect are only available 3 months in advance, direct are available sometimes from as early as 6 or more. Our November 7th trip was booked in an April via the phone one year! I think you could edge your bets on April/May, January sounds way too early though I've heard of people booking 9 months in advance its rare, so January woukd be extremely rare?

The person who told you August was thinking of the other Eurostar services which get released 3 months in advance. The direct service, however, can be released up to 9 months in advance, maybe even more, as they get released in blocks. We booked our tickets for our September trip this year back in January and at that point tickets were available until mid October ish.

I would call back end December/early January and see what they say and also keep an eye on the forums as there are often other people waiting for the same dates.

I've been told by Eurostar to ring in January for direct October 2014.
I booked our march direct tickets this August there was a long thread on another forum about the direct service there where a lot of people waiting for December dates in that batch.
So I thought direct service where only realeased twice a year ?
