Anybody know the cheapest way from Ashford the Disneyland Pairs, and if you've been on it, tell me what its like!

Thanks, I have tried everywhere and cannot find a direct train from Ashford to Disneyland Paris, only via Lille Europe to change onto the TGV

Hi, there is one train a day that goes direct. The 10.31 from Ashford should get you to DLP for 13.30hrs. The timetable can be downloaded here

Try yourself if you dont belive me (try booking on the site). It stops at Lille Europe and then you swap to the TGV.

The eurostar website is a right pain to book with! Prices change constantly and trains appear then disappear! When we booked to go in december, we booked the direct trains, however we looked a couple of weeks after we had booked and the direct trains had gone from the listings! The direct train only came back on the website a couple of weeks before we left! It really is hit and miss. And the prices change alot depending on when you book, very usually the prices go down the nearer you book to the time you go, although we have seen the opposite happen too! Also, last time when we booked, the train was listed, but standard class was sold out, so we could only go first class. I do not understand how standard class could have been sold out 3 in advance and it was during the school term time! Alas, we looked a couple of weeks before we went, and standard class had come back on for sale. Oh and if you try to email eurostar, they are no help at all.

So i guess what i'm saying is that all you can do is wait if you want to go direct because it will be listed eventually! And keep checking everyday!

Matt I've never booked with Eurostar. If you tell us your journey details maybe someone can help

I tried and got connection journey first. I then asked for later trains and got direct 10.31hrs Ashford International - Disneyland Resort 13.30hrs.

My date for this example was 13th March.

Ashford to Disneyland Paris - 29th April (morning)

Disneyland Paris to Ashford - 1st May (evening)

Hi Matt,
I've just has a look and there isn't a direct train available for the outward journey, didn't check the return journey - but it seems your only option is to change at Lille.
Being a bank holiday weekend, maybe the direct service is already fully booked.

Yes, I found an outward one too, but not a return!!! But I'm certain that the direct train runs daily.

Would it be worth giving them a ring instead - websites can be very temperamental!!

Matt, I've just tried and can only get you a direct train for the outward journey, not the return.

I suggest you phone Eurostar tomorrow. Like Jeebles we found all the standard seats were sold out for one of our journeys and only first class were available and I phoned Eurostar to find out why. They were very helpful and were able to explain that the reason I couldn't book standard seats was because they had all been reserved by a tour operator who was running a special offer for that day. They did advise that some standard seats might become available if they were not all sold but we decided against taking the risk and treated ourselves to first class. They should be able to tell you if it is a case that the direct train has been completely sold out for that day or whether seats might become available nearer the time.

Best bet as people have said is to ring eurostar. However, if the train was sold out i'm pretty sure they would still have it listed but just have "sold out" where the ticket price should be. I reckon that they are just trying to fill up their indirect trains first with early bookers.
