Monday will be our first time at going on the Eurostar so I am a little nervous as I do not know what to expect.
We are getting on at Ebsfleet (it leaves at 6.35am) and then we have to change at lille.
Please can someone explain to me what the plan is?! I mean is it like a normal train, do we just take our luggage on with us or does it get stored somewhere? We are in the family carrage so can my son stay in his buggy (I would much prefer it if he did lol)

Also does anyone know, on the way back, how long before our train (i think its called the TGV?) leaves for Lille do we have to check in? on our tickets it only states that check in closes half an hour before departure for the eurostar? I dont want to get there too early and miss out on valuable park time but at the same time I do not want to get there too late and miss the train home (well actually I secretly wouldnt mind this but I think my bank balance would :rotfl:)
Also on way back is there somewhere in the station that we can leave our luggage (I am sure I have seen something about this on here before but I can not find it now?)

Thank you
x

we had direct eurostar, so there may be someone who can answer your questions a bit better than me, but,

As far as DS staying in his buggy, I don't know about the TGV, but he wouldn't be able to on the eurostar. Also, you take all luggage with you on the train, there are racks to put it on at the ends of the carriage and also overhead storage for smaller bags, coats etc.

as far as luggage storage goes, you can use the disney express luggage service, it costs 11 euros if it's not already included in your package. You just leave your luggage with them upstairs in the train station and they take it to your hotel, then on the way home, you leave your luggage at the hotel baggage office by 11am and they take it to the station for you.

have a great time. :goodvibes

Unfortunately you can only use the Disney Express service for the direct Eurostar however there are large lockers at the train station, I believe they take more than one suitcase and are approx €10.

Thank you for your replies, I think the trains are the only things that are worrying me now! I am sure I will be fine when we are on them but I just can't see my ds sitting still! I am pleased they have luggage lockers for on the way back!

when we travelled home last time we set isabelle's buggy up in the area between the trains where you store the luggage so she could sleep and the train attendant was fine with this so i would maybe see how busy the train etc is and you might be able to, although it does mean that you wouldnt be able to sit in your own seat! She suprised me on the way there ay how she coped sitting in one place, plus there were other children to amuse her and people were walking lo's up and down the aisles. we did have some disney things on the ipod so maybe thats a option, or bring a portable dvd player. have fun
