Does the family section tend to be noisy?

Also do all the seats have fold down tables? I dont mean the tables on back of chairs!

Would I be just as well at a normal table seat?

Not sure where to sit on the eurostar - anyone got any tips for seat choice!

I wasn't aware that the Eurostar (if you mean the direct train to DLP) had a family section. When we went in March our carriage was fairly full with a mix of adults and children - I wouldn't say it was much noisier than any other train.

Most of the seats in each carriage are in twos facing the back of the chair in front with fold down tables but there are also a couple of sections with four seats set out in a square with the pairs facing each other and a table in the middle.

We had two pairs of seats last time (two adults and two children) which was just fine, although for next time I've booked a square of four so we can all sit together.

The only tip I can think of would be to book seats in a carriage close to the front of the train as these ones are nearest to the exit out of the train station so you'll get to Disney quicker!

I have just booked family seats for our trip in june so i would be interested in some of the replies posted here. I havent sat in the family section before, but as there are 8 of us travelling, they were the only seats available that guaranteed us all sitting together.

I didn't know there was a family section either. I know it costs more but we always go in first class because when you have 3 young kids you need the room, and it's nice to have the food too. Guaranteed space and table. I don't really like having to spend more than I have to for the trip but it is quieter and a bit more comfortable. If you don't mind paying a bit more this is what I would recommend.

From what I understand there is 2 family sections on each train.

The family section is 4 sets of 4 seats facing each other.
I think that the fold away table comes down from the window and would look like a normal table seats - but I want to know if anyone knew this for sure.

I think the idea is that you can fold the large table away if you dont want it there!

My only concern with this - is there is only 2 of us going, meaning if the other 2 seated with us may not want the table down or visa versa.

That's not even worth anything as a table!! We travelled with one of these once, not on Eurostar. It was a pain in the bum, I'd rather have the pull down from a chair, at least then dd can colour or do whatever to amuse herself.
