Hi,

Just took a look on the site and it seems now they are offering a 15% off and free Half Board.

Can't make up my mind if i should take this when i come to book..?

When are you planning to go?

I am a bit disappointed they have just changed the offer from 20% with HB to 15% with HB.

I was hoping they would have no more offer but then a flash sale in a week or two, but the new offer is running until the 2nd December which will be too late for any other offers for us.

The Dutch site has 40% off, which seems to be the best offer at the moment.

Hey,

Planning to go around the 2nd of Jan.

We have always gone Half Board and TBH the menus etc suit us. This time however i am feeling a little more adventurous and have said to the kids that we should try different places so maybe not go half board.

I suppose it depends on what other discounts you get, and whether using the HB with face value works for you. I have the shareholders card so HB is really not worth it, even when it is "free". I also don't like having to eat a set menu to get the best from the vouchers and prefer the freedom to have one day without any sit down meals at all.

If you haven't already I would have a look at the other countries offers to see if any make sense for you. Even with the 20% off and half board offer I worked out it was better off using another country, I held out in case of a new offer but will definitely be booking via the other site now.

If the offer does not run out before the 20th on the dutch site. I think i will go for that one too as it works out around 300 cheaper. Not including the free H/B though.

How can you book from the Dutch site? At the end the country is set to Denmark (Nederland) and it does not let you change it. If anyone can help please tell us how. The 40% off is quite good!

it may be worth waiting till someone else can confirm for you but would it actually matter.

You get the documents emailed to yourself anyway don't you? and any passes you get and HB tickets you pick up on arrival.

That's what I thought too but when you pay with the credit card won't they see the country the card is charged at?

That is a good point, Friends have done this before and never had any problems, unless they have changed something in how they process this now.

Im sure someone will come back soon who has actually done this and can advise further.

Even if you don't hear anything, i would think it would be worth a try in any case, if it doesnt work you won't have lost anything, but if it does work! :)

gohockley1981 thank you for your help. You persuaded me to give it a try (not that I needed much persuasion). I was there in July but I can't wait to go back again. I have nothing to lose right? I will let you know of the outcome. :). Thanks again for your help.

Please do as i plan to book around the 20th and will take this offer if it's still the best one around :-)

My Dutch is next to non-existent unfortunately and Google can't translate the offer details page because of the website, but there are only a few dates listed and it says something about the offer running until or before the 16th December. Translation on another site "During the validity this offer is available in at least one Disney hotel per arrival date. Offer valid if booked before 16 December 2013."

From what I have seen of the other country offers I can't see any better ones occurring before that, a few countries have no offers at all so it may be worth checking the sites from time to time. I have bookmarked all the different sites under a folder on my browser and just check them all each morning!

Hello there,

New to the site!

Just wondering if you had any joy with the Dutch site.

I'm looking for a good deal for my family over Christmas and New Year but we don;t want the half board option. The Dutch site has it for e530! But as mentioned above it says NEDERLAND in the address box.

Has anyone had any success?

Many, many thanks in advance.

Elnicsa - did you have any joy?:)

Hi
I have booked on the Dutch website offer for my trip in Feb half term.
I booked and went last Feb on the French website offer.
Thankfully Google translate did translate all I needed it to. You do just leave the address as Netherlands. If you would rather book on the phone with the Dutch offer you can. You ring the usual number (which goes through to the US) and they transfer your call through to France. You then just explain you want to book using the Dutch offer. The upside is you speak to someone and then only have to pay the deposit upfront. You can't book transport with this option.
I saved £400 for my 4 nights for me and my 2 kids in HNY. There is no way we would spend that on 4 meals for the 3 of us (with the half board offer) as my kids like simple food.
Hope that helps.

Many many thanks Mrs Mickey! Precisely why I want to avoid the HB.
Will book tomorrow! :yay:

CASR25 sorry I didn't inform you guys earlier.

I did go through with it and everything worked just fine! I was so worried until the final step :) No credit card problems or address either! As Ms Mickey said just leave the country to Netherlands and enjoy the 40% !!!

I am so excited! :cool1::cool1:

Thank you for this thread!!! Just looked at Dutch site and our exact booking is roughly £120 cheaper than uk site! I'm a bit scared of booking it wrong so I'm going to ring on Friday (payday!! :) ) and book.
Just a quick question to those who have booked using a different country's site- what is the exchange rate like?! I used post office site for reference and I know it will be different but would just like to know how much before i go ahead and book.
Thanks for any help! X

Begaz Sorry I paid in euros. I am from Cyprus and our currency is euros. May be someone else who paid in GBP can help.

Thank you for replying! I think it will still work out cheaper for us. It looks like we will be able to stay in sequoia lodge for less than we were going to pay for Cheyenne! :) x
