Day 5 contd
After meeting Glendamax, the day seemed like a letdown. We were so amped up over finally meeting someone. We headed out to do Its a bugs life and then went to Camp Minnie Mickey for the Lion King show. Donald, my friends son, got to get up and dance at the LK show. So everyone had a blast. We then headed for Asia and the dreaded EE. My kids had already revved themselves up to take the ride. On the way over we stopped for some much needed ice cream. Hehehe. My favorite part of any amusement park!
Oh, it was so good and cold.
Glenda is right about this park being extremely hot!
They enjoyed every bite of this Minnie bar. I told them no chocolate Mickey because I was afraid they would get sick in the heat.
(Did you notice the difference in these pictures? These are my photopass pictures I just got in the mail. I will add the rest to the end of my report when Im done. I even have the one of Belle touching Ariels tale after waiting for 6 years to do it.)
We arrived over at EE and the CMs measured Donald to see if he could ride. When they told him he was too short to ride, he started to cry. Then after they managed to make him cry they said, Well, its not working right now anyway. WHAT? Why hadnt they told us that before making him come over and be measured? That was just nasty.
We then headed over the Kali River Rapids and managed to get soaked, but it was okay because it started to rain right after the ride and we would have been soaked anyway. We walked over to Dinosaur in the rain and there was absolutely no line. After the ride we trekked back to the entrance where we had photopass pictures taken of all the really tired kids.
We are all wet from the KRR and rain.
Cinderella finally gets another picture, but only if sister will hold her.
We had managed to ride and see everything we had wanted to except for EE. Did you hear about the earthquake off the coast of Florida? It happened at about the same time they shut down EE. We wondered if it might have had anything to do with that. We made it to the bus and headed back to the hotel. Tonight was Belles turn to dress up. We arrived and everyone jumped into the shower to get the river rapids water off and get ready for Akershus.
Princess Belle heads to Akershus. We head over to Epcot and prepare for the trek into Norway. We werent quite sure how far Norway was, so we prepared to walk a long distance. I was happy to find it was just on the other side of Mexico. We managed to be seated fairly quickly and I was surprised. The late reservation had helped. The restaurant was not very full. The kids all had their pictures taken with Ariel and then we sat down to order our meals.
This is a picture of a picture. I cant wait until they put these on photopass!
Okay, so we got in on the picture too!
They have a cheese and meat cold bar to start off with and then you order off their menu. There was one thing on the menu I couldnt figure out. It was the Traditional Kjottkaker. Its pronounced- Meat Loaf. My friend and I about died when I asked what it was and she said Meat Loaf. We were joking about it and I found out later that Umama had the same thing we did. We even had some of the same jokes about it.
Well I ordered the meatloaf and the rest of the adults ordered the Cod, the Lamb, and the Salmon. The kids ordered the standard kid stuff. We got to meet the Princesses fairly quickly into the meal and were trying to eat our appetizers, get pictures and autographs at the same time. About the time we were through getting autographs and pictures, the meal arrived and we hadnt even managed to eat our appetizers yet.
The food was different, but not so bad I couldnt eat it. Hey, everyone has their own version of meatloaf. And I have tried many variations. So not too bad. We were sitting around joking and enjoying the silence when it was broken by one of the kids.
