Heading to WDW in May for a three night mother/son trip and wanted some thoughts on the value of ETPE at MK. We are staying at POP and plan to use early entry for Epcot our first day and for AK our last day but not sure if it’s necessary at MK in the middle. There have been a lot of stories on here lately about downed rides and still fairly long lines during early entry so I’m inclined to just enjoy a nice breakfast and then head to the park around 9.30ish. I will likely pay for G+ on our MK day and whilst I don’t love the idea of paying more for ILL, there is a possibility I will since our trip is short and space mountain is a must for me.

My “must do” rides (other than space mtn) for MK are:
Jungle Cruise
IASW
Haunted Mansion
Pirates
Thunder Mtn
Pooh

Is it likely I’ll be able to get most of those with G+ without having to show up for early entry?

Based on your list, in my opinion, JC is the one you should look to grab first. It's been a busy attraction, even with LL. If you book that at 7, you'll then be able to book another 2 hours after the park opens, or if you tap into JC, whichever comes first. You should be able to get some of the others you're looking to do. Some you can do standby. And you shouldn't need to be there at rope drop!

Thanks for the reply. I will try to book JC as my 7am choice. We will likely still spend most of the day at MK but I was thinking of breakfast at Kona Cafe and a browse through the Poly gift shop before heading to the park. I’m going to try for dinner at Cali Grill or ‘Ohana and just watch the fireworks from there but the rest of the day will be in the park.
