currently I have a economy or compact can't remember reserved for Oct 4-13
for 9 days plus a few hours for 167.71 through Thrifty. This is where I am worried It reads estimated grand total on the reservation. It does include all the junk they charge for like airport, state, sales tax vehicle licensing fee.
I just am a little worried that when I get to the counter they will add on a lot more.
We rented last year with Thrifty and I can't remember but I don't believe it stated ESTIMATED on my reservation I think it said GRAND total.
Does anyone else have a reservation that reads this. Or has anyone rented recently and had them add on a lot of extra's.

Thanks in advance.

I was looking on thrifty yesterday, didn't book anything b/c we are probably driving.

On the right hand side on the website, where it says your quote.(after you go through all the putting in dates/location stuff but before you book) Somewhere on that, you'll see an option to see all that other stuff that you're talking about. For my trip, which would have been 11 days, it would have been about $60+ in taxes and charges.

If all else fails, call them!

Just went to the site, this was the list of the charges...
$94.99/week
Total Base Rate (USD):
$154.95
Rental Time Charge
$154.95
Airport Access Fee (8.7%)
$15.87
State Surcharge ($2.03 per day)
$22.33
Sales Tax (6.5%)
$12.89
Vehicle Licensing Fee ($0.47 per day)
$5.17
Total Estimated Mandatory Charges (USD)
$211.21
Estimated Grand Total (USD)
$211.2

If they have listed out the concession fee, license recovery fee, battery fee, tax, etc. then you will have all of the extra charges that would be on a normal rental. The reason it is estimated is because your arrival/departure times may change, you may elect optional insurance or you may not return the tank full and did not purchase the gas option.

All of those things will affect your final total.

In my experience, if you adhered to your ressie and did all that you were required to do, then the estimated charges will be your final charges.

If you have your email confirmation and the final charges are significantly different, call customer services and insist that they honor the rate. I had a problem with National on the last trip (different thread) and they did honor the rate without a fight and credited my card that day.
