What should I estimate for total time once I park at ttc to arrive at magic kingdom , is monorail faster than boat?

Bare minimum 15-20 minutes and that's if everything is magical... you park so close it's quicker to walk to TTC than take the tram, a monorail is in the station and doesn't hold along the rail.

All else being equal, I think monorail is faster than the boat. But if anything wobbles the boat is where I'd prefer to be. Once the boat gets there and loads, it goes. There's room to move around. I have been stranded on the monorail beam for 20-30 minutes. Crying kids, angry people growing late for ADRs, stuffy, getting hotter in the Florida afternoon. Very bad.

I would allow 45 minutes from parking to arrival.

I agree. It seems to be more relaxing because folks aren't shoulder to shoulder.

And because the monorail can break down or needs to wait for traffic to clear, we prefer the reliability of the ferry. The ferry, dock to dock, is about 10 minutes or so.

The lag time is car to TTC, and then wait time for a hair to arrive and load. Planning for 45 minutes from car to park entry is wise.

It depends on where you park and more importantly on traffic. The actual monorail will get from TTC to MK in about 6-8 minutes. They cram a lot of people onto the monorail so don't be upset if you see a ton of people. Walking to the monorail and the crowd level will determine how long. I would bank on at least 25-30 minutes from car to MK. If you get there faster, that is great but, you don't want to bank on 15 minutes and it turns out to be 30-40.

Personally I like the Monorail better. Many times we just see what the line is like at the Monorail and if it is super long we head for the boat.

We often find the boat to be equal to or faster than the monorail. Long lines at the monorail station may mean you have to wait for more than one train to get on. Long lines at the boat dock simply means that you'll have more company on the boat but you'll get on anyway.

I don't know the exact times but my family used to make a game of racing monorail vs ferry. Team Monorail always wins.
