Has anyone bought Estate appliances before? They are made by Whirlpool. I had never heard of them and can find very little about them. We have an applicance package from a dealer that includes and Estate fridge and microhood. Before we drop a bundle on appliances I was looking for a little bit of info. Anyone?

Check Consumer Reports. they give a lot of information on things like this. We always read it before we buy anything big. They do not accept advertising and offer an extensive unbiased review of products.

Well finally a question I can answer!

Sam's Club sells Estate. I have shopped for appliances a lot in the past couple years and this is the only place around Cleveland I have seen this brand. I do like Whirlpool appliances, by the way.

I bought an Estate electric dryer from Sam's club around 95. I know it has been at least that long. It is still running very well without ever having a repair. It was also moved to our house here and sometimes we have had problems after moves with appliances.

So, I guess I can tell you my basic model dryer has been a very good bargan. I would consider them again.

I am just curious about a dealer selling these to you. Might you be able to check and purchase from Sam's directly yourself?

jayCT - Thanks. I've been meaning to stop by the library and pick up one of the appliance review issues.

RNMOM - A local mom and pop appliance store had the Estate line. I had never heard of it before. The website is rather sparse. I'll have to check out Sam's to see what they have. Thanks for the advise.

I have an Estate gas dryer..it is at least 5 years old and I have never had one problem with it. Mine was purchased at store that sells pretty much everything. I told the salesman how much money I wanted to spend and then we looked at the different models in that price range. The Estate had what I was lokking for and the price was right.

We have Estate washer and dryer and no problems with them for the last 5 or 6 years!
